Well, Prince is Prince and that's why I like him. I wouldn't want him to be like Michael although I adore ma Mike. I'm sure he had his reasons and he also explained why he didn't show up in an interview. At 1:06:

And you are entitled to your own opinion of course   Just want people to question everything that is said/written about Prince just like the way we question everything said about Michael, that's all. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt   .
