It's so sad to see Michael's stuff positioned for auction.  For some reason it seems that bit by bit, piece by piece, they are erasing Michael's history and soon there will be nothing left of him except what we have acquired for ourselves personally over all these years.  I don't like it.  It feels like he is being slowly, painfully eradicated except in our minds and our hearts.  I don't understand it and it hurts :?

On another note, maybe Michael is doing this himself.  Maybe he wants all the things to just go away so that when he starts anew, it can really feel like a new beginning void of any of the old reminders.  That, even though still rather heartbreaking, is understandable.  I only wish that some of the things were at a price that a broke fan like me could afford.  Hey I want a little Michael history too :(  especially something he has touched or held close to his heart.

Michael Jackson asks court to stop Universal Express auction
South Florida Business Journal

Universal Express, known for battling the SEC in court, now has a more famous legal opponent: King of Pop Michael Jackson.
The controversial entertainer sued the Boca Raton-based luggage shipping company and New York-based Guernsey's auction house on April 27 in Clark County District Count in Las Vegas. Jackson wants to stop them from selling his personal items, which Universal Express (OCTBB: USXP) purchased from a New Jersey company in December as part of a collection of Jackson family memorabilia.
Universal Express spokeswoman Michelle Soudry said Henry Vaccaro's New Jersey company already won court cases against Jackson and his family that proved the items belonged to him. Universal Express should prevail on the same merits, she said.
"It's an unfounded case," Soudry said. "It is extremely unlikely he [Jackson] will have any influence on this collection being handed back to him."
Vaccaro bought the items at a bankruptcy auction from the estates of Jackson's parents and two brothers. Jackson sued Vaccaro over the items in federal court in Los Angeles, but the case was dismissed in April 2006.
Universal Express CEO Richard Altomare said in a previous interview that the Jackson items could fetch $40 million to $50 million at auction. Ten percent of the proceeds would go to charities.
Jackson's lawsuit claims Universal Express took wrongful possession of his personal effects because he was not a party to the bankruptcy case from which Vaccaro obtained the items. The Nevada judge issued a temporary restraining order, enjoining the defendants from selling any of the collection until May 12. The auction was set for May 30-31 at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. A hearing on a preliminary injunction against selling the items was set for May 15.

The Bold is added by Zen.   Michael been battling for so many years.
This was first sell-out of some of his personal items.  Hopefully, some
of his friends bid on them for him, that what I hoped would happen.

Jesus, his family and their antics.  No wonder they were estranged.  Damn, damn, damn. I could go on but I think I'd better stop while I'm still ahead :?

Whoa people!

That virtual view of the items in the above link are from the auction that MJ stopped in 2009!

In this article I read located here:
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

It says:
“Darren Julien from Julien's Auctions said it is pure coincidence the auction falls on June 25.  He said: 'We have the same summer auction at the same time every year.' Julien added that the auction date could not be moved.”

Now at You are not allowed to view links. Register or Loginit says: “Julien's Auctions features entertainment memorabilia — Hollywood memorabilia from The Collection of Cher to Barbara Streisand; rock memorabilia from Madonna to U2 to Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson; and Beatles memorabilia including items from John Lennon and George Harrison.”

On there site under the link for the upcoming auctions it says: “Julien's Auctions is proud to present "Music Icons" summer auction taking place at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino Las Vegas on Thursday, June 24th and Friday, June 25th, 2010. Leading this magnificent offering and unprecedented event is a selection of twenty-two exquisite furniture lots commissioned by Michael Jackson for his planned residence in Kent, England, during the "This Is It" concert series in London. Colombostile Artisans have supplied luxurious handmade Italian furnishings to countless embassies, palaces, historical homes and sumptuous hotels in every continent. Julien's Auctions will execute the recreation of Michael Jackson's Kent home for the public viewing for the first time ever at Newbridge Silverware's Museum of Style Icons in Ireland from Tuesday, March 16th – Sunday May 23rd and at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino Las Vegas from Monday, June 14, 2010 – Thursday, June 24, 2010. Michael's fans and the public will experience how the entertainer's home would have looked like with his custom designed Colombostile furniture ordered by the icon himself. As a tribute to the late King of Pop, Colombostile will be donating a generous portion of the proceeds from the sale of these items to benefit MusiCares and Joshua's Heart, both 501(c)3 charities.”

Now this tells us that the things they are auctioning are not from MJ’s personal items, so that gets rid of that anxiety for you! They are items he never used! So I think you should all give Katherine a break, she probably could care less about those things because MJ never used them. He probably only saw them in the catalog when he order them. And he probably hadn't paid for them and the company is auctioning them to get some if not all of their money :!:  :!:  :!:

Here again is an example of not researching things for yourself before jumping to unwarranted conclusions!!

All I can say is that baby brother Randy is on his assigned J.O.B. of confusing the people!

And by the way, they are auctioning some of Elvis’ things as well!

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." (Matthew 6:19-12)
Stay blessed up"on the wings of love!"

I agree it just all hurts :(      so much to see MJ's personal items sold off like it means nothing to Julien's.  It grieves me to the soul.  I think all of MJ's items should be kept for his children.  This is just not right.  I think that the fans should call or email Julien's saying that the auction needs to be stopped.  MJ's estate is in the black now according to the lastest news:

Michael Jackson's estate has earned nearly $1billion since his death

By Graeme Culliford 6/06/2010

Michael Jackson's estate has raked in close to a billion dollars in the year since he died.

The huge sum - from record sales and lucrative deals brokered by the estate - is 47 TIMES what the debt-ridden King Of Pop made the previous year.

That's nearly two thirds of what Elvis Presley's estate has made in the 33 YEARS since his death. If the cash keeps rolling in, Jacko's children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11 and Blanket, seven, will get billions from their trust funds when they reach 21.

A source said: "The estate has made around $900million (£614m) in cash since Michael's death. This is an incredible amount. No other artist has ever made that much since they died. It should ensure Michael goes down in history as the greatest artist of all time."

Record sales soared as soon as news of Jacko's death was announced on June 25 last year.

More than 415,000 albums were sold in the first four days in America alone - and 2.3million songs were downloaded across the world.

In the previous year Jacko, who was struggling to pay off $500million of debts and was selling off his beloved Neverland Ranch, had sold just 10,000 records, got cash from 37,000 downloads - and made an estimated $19million.

His estate, run by two US lawyers, has since signed the most lucrative recording contract ever - a $250million deal with Sony for continuing rights to his music and further unreleased songs.

A $200million contract with Cirque du Soleil to create a Michael Jackson show in Las Vegas is also said to be in the pipeline. Jacko merchandise, profits from The Beatles songwriting catalogue which he bought in 1985, and the This Is It film released after his death helped raise the $900m.

The estate has won a court order so details about the money can be kept from the public.

But a lawyer for Jacko's father Joe, who wants a share of the cash, said: "They are being too secretive. The public has a right to know what the estate is doing in his name."

Remember heard Joe Jackson said there were stolen items belong to MJ's children.  I wonder if any of these items were stolen.  If any of the items in the auction were stolen, then I think the auction could be stopped.  It is illegal to traffic in stolen items.  Maybe we fans should call, email or write Julien's in Las Vegas to see, if we could stop the auction or get it halted.  Can anyone chat further with the Jacksons on Twitter to see, if they are trying to stop the auction.

Here is Julien's contact info online:

I remember seeing pictures of some extravagant custom furniture that Michael ordered for the London castle he was to live in while performing at the O2.

Was that stuff auctioned off yet?
