watching Janet there made me remember being like 7 thinking i was adopted and my real sister was penny from good times and one day my real mother would find me... (  :lol:  okay we could still be sisters if MJ comes back and we get married LOL :lol:  :lol: )  :lol:

Missed Idol last night but I watched Janets performance and that was TOTALLY Mj singing!! OMG! I walked away from the compputer and listened and Im conviced,. ....

...and yes, Crystal got robbed. She should have won. But in a way Im glad she didnt cus now she can have her pick of any record label she wants. Being an AI winner you are bound to AI's contracts for a yr and you have no say in anything.

Funny you should mention Janet sounding like Michael. My husband walked by and out of the blue said she sounded like Michael.  :shock:

I was watching AI and my daughter was in the kitchen washing dishes and she said "That sounds like Michael." She does believe MJ is not dead. You really can tell MJ's voice from Janet's. I was surprise to see Brett Michaels. He just suffered a stroke last week, right?  He'd look tired.

Wow I never saw the Coke commercial.....I am speechless...something big is coming guys...and I am sure that the Much Music Awards are going to be full of Michaelisms....if not the big BAM....I mean we had clues before but this is right in your face telling us that there is someting up between Coke and Idol and MJ....and who know who else....I 'm telling BAMS day is coming....and I don't know how I'm not going to faint!!!

Now watch the video again in HD and don't pay attention to Janet or the dancers...only watch the background screens... hit pause randomnly and you will find various images of Michael!!!!

Listen at around 3:20 until 3:50.....  if that is not MJ I will eat my hat !!!  Seriously....my heart is pounding wild.  Also ...just seconds after MJ stops singing...Janet fixes her ear piece ... Like shutting off something ?
She could maybe have used an old recording of MJ`s ? ..... because that is Michael singing !!!!           My heart is still pounding wild !!!!

I have been wondering for awhile now if MJ would want Simon's job.  They have been pretty "mum" on SImon's replacement.  Interesting finale last night.  It does have MJ written all over it.  Also, Simon made some comment that there will be some changes made to the show so I wonder if it is going to be more than just a singing competition...maybe there might be some dance added in there ...just my thoughts lol.  It would be the perfect marketing strategy to get more people to watch American Idol.  I think the numbers have been dwindling since Paula left and now Simon leaving too.

I knew Michael was singing parts of this song the first time I heard it when it released.  It is obvious from watching the official video of the song that it doesn't match her voice, timing or mouth movements.  Last night was no exception!  We love you, Michael!  And YES, we will be there!

Janet Jackson shows she’s the only one allowed to sound like Michael Jackson

When Janet Jackson took the stage last night for a medley of her own songs, several Beatweek readers – and some of our staff – noted that she sounded remarkably like her late brother Michael Jackson, particularly on her new song entitled Nothing (which, by the way, is now in the top ten on the R&B charts). In fact, others elsewhere have thought that she sounded so much like Michael that she must have been lip synching to his voice. For starters, we don’t think it’s appropriate to hurl that kind of accusation at someone without real evidence, but even so, just what would she be lip syncing to? After all, Nothing is a new song of hers, and Michael passed away last. The whole theory sounds like something out of the grassy knoll.

Here’s what we think: Janet Jackson, by virtue of coming from the same DNA pool as Michael, and by virtue of having grown up singing with him, likely finds it very natural to sing in a manner that sounds very similar to that of her late brother’s effeminate voice. And frankly, she’s one of the few people in the world who has a right to sound that much like Michael. She’s at this point the de facto representative of the Jackson clan, and the closest thing we have remaining in terms of his legacy. So if Janet is comfortable with sounding hauntingly like Michael in her latest single, that’s her prerogative. And in fact, if you go and give “Nothing” a few close listens you’ll see that the vocals have a noticeably more female tenor than anything Michael ever released. And it’ll also reveal the fact that, upon close inspection, “Nothing” is actually a great song.
