Other Odd Things / Re: Where was MJ Really Living During This is It??

I found this article on Michael living in Pahrump in 2008, it is lighthearted and made me chuckle, something that I needed today. It still leaves the question, well did he/is he living there? I'll keep looking....

Is Pahrump pop king’s refuge?

After The Wall Street Journal reports that Michael Jackson is there, rumors are flying and the local populace is, for the most part … laughing

By Brendan Buhler

Monday, June 23, 2008 | 2 a.m.

Is Michael Jackson in Pahrump? Has it, at long last, come to this? Has the Howard Hughes of Pop moved to the great weird magnet in the desert?

Who knows? Officially, no one.

So we went to Pahrump to look for ourselves.

As it turns out, there are two basic types of people in Pahrump: People who have not heard the Jackson rumor (and laugh and laugh) and people who have heard the rumor (and laugh and laugh). And yet, in a larger sense, there is only one type of Pahrumpian: People who hope it’s not true. After the brothels, Heidi Fleiss’ gigolo dreams and coin laundry and the leopards, Pahrump is worried Michael Jackson would lower the town’s tone.

Usually it’s hard to say where a rumor starts. In this case, we’re pretty sure it started in The Wall Street Journal on June 13, in an article by Ethan Smith, an article headlined “Michael Jackson: The Next Elvis?” Smith reported investors are hoping to lure the Weird One back onstage and that Jackson is living in Pahrump, “holed up” in a “rural Nevada compound.”

Then the rumor went streaking down the news wires, all the way home, straight to the heart of Pahrump, between the town’s two stoplights, into the big shopping center with the Wal-Mart, into Pepper’s Home Store, which is where we started asking questions Wednesday.

“It’s true,” said Merry Pepper, laughing.

What?

“It’s a rumor on the news,” Merry said.

Plus, she saw a big black limousine the other day. Maybe it was his.

Her husband, Tom Pepper, was more skeptical.

“He hasn’t been in here shopping,” Tom said. “We’ve got some pretty upscale stuff, but probably not to his taste.”

Yes, Merry said, “We’ve got wooden elephants, but not the Elephant Man’s bones.”

Ah, well. Know a good place to get lunch?

“Mom’s,” Merry said.

Mom’s Family Diner is a kind of old-fashioned joint with simple values, like taking payment in cash only.

We asked our waitress, Suzy Dobson, about Jackson. She laughed. “First I’ve heard of it,” she said. “And I bar tend, too, so I would have heard.”

Then she got thoughtful. Give her a call in a couple of days, she said. She’d see what she could find out.

Down at the Bookworm Haven, a used book shop that occupies a couple of trailers and a probably few parallel dimensions to accommodate the overflow, we talked Jackson with the clerk, a kind woman who refused to give her name.

“Michael Jackson — oh my God, that’s all Pahrump needs,” she said. “We’ve got a bad enough reputation already.”

But, she said, you never know.

“There’s a lot of secrets here,” she said. “We’re not just a dusty little town.”

She suggested we stop by the chamber of commerce.

Where they laughed. They’d heard the rumor but didn’t know anything and don’t put their names in the paper.

But, you know, they said, if he were going to live anywhere, maybe it’d be that real nice house for sale on Homestead Road. So down we went to Homestead Road, to the only house that didn’t arrive on the back of a flatbed. It was empty.

We wandered lost, turning on Manse Road, hoping the name was accurate. It is not.

Inside the Bernina sewing shop, we asked about Jackson.

“Ah-ha-ha-hahaha-ha,” went Nancy Lawrence, a clerk.

“We’re just lucky we got the Home Depot,” said Rosemary Wiesner, Nancy’s mother.

“Hey, maybe if Michael Jackson moved here, we’d would get some more stuff,” Nancy said.

Trudy Gossage, the owner, called people to see whether they knew anything. Nope. We should go ask her sister Merry. She knows everything.

As it happened, Merry King had heard the Jackson rumor and was looking into it herself. No luck so far.

Just as we were leaving, Merry ran out waving a telephone. It was Trudy. She was out at dinner and the hostess had heard about Jackson. He’s living down on Basin Road.

Down Basin Road we went. And let us just say that unless Michael Jackson has given up his security guards and taken an interest in lawn auto repair, he does not live on Basin Road.

Now, past the end of Basin Road, that could be a different story.

Out in the large desert lots, a home can breathe, can be a “compound,” with a long gravel driveway, a barbed wire fence and signs that read, “Trespassers Will Be Shot!”

No limos, though.

Back in Las Vegas, we called Nye County Sheriff Tony De Meo. Did he know that Michael Jackson was maybe sort of possibly living in Pahrump?

“Really? He hasn’t said anything to me,” De Meo said.

We also called our source Suzy at Mom’s Family Diner. She had checked it out. It’s true: Jacko has landed.

She’d first heard it from a woman who heard it from her 12-year-old son. Then she confirmed it with a receptionist at the office of doctors who used to work in Las Vegas on all the stars.

Really?

“Yeah, there’s this awesome black limo driving up and down 160. We get limos out here for the whorehouses, but this one’s different,” Dobson said.

“Bigger.”

Love you Michael!

This is pretty interesting, something that I have not run across in this little adventure that we are in. It got me thinking so I need to go and check something out in that little town in Nevada.

I have always assumed Michael was at Carolwood on June 25th; I have talked with someone who was there that day and he explained how hectic it was with the ambulance and the paps so I would think the event did take place on June 25th or the person that I talked to lied.

And on the two vids that were posted about the guy going to Michaels house about the Xmas decorations, that isn't Michaels house. I was at Carolwood and I can tell you first hand that isn't even the street the house is on when the guy is at the intercoms. He starts out in front of Carolwood but when he is talking to the 'guards' that is not Carolwood.

Off to do some searching.

Love you Michael!

General Hoax Talk / Re: Expectations versus Reality
« on: October 18, 2010, 08:39:15 PM »
With Michael's return I am expecting him to have the respect that he deserves. His life was consumed with lies after lies, and by judgemental people who only saw and heard what they wanted to see and hear.

The hoax is a wake up call to everyone. Even though there are still those who will always bad mouth Michael the hoax has done wonders in restoring who he really is. After the hoax a number of people who were not even fans started to read up on Michael and they found out that he was a pretty good guy afterall. And even some of the 'haters' have done a 360.

Over the past 15 months and 3 weeks Michael's good name and reputation has slowly been restored and a big thank you goes out to his family, friends and fans who have worked tirelessly to do this. At times I have felt guilty that I sit and try and figure out what happened to him instead of writing a letter in his name but then I recall what someone once said to me, "YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE IN YOUR OWN WAY".

I am expecting Michael to be at peace within himself, he has the love of his children, his family and his fans who will always support him.

Do I want him to perform again? Of course I do. Is it realistic? Perhaps to a certain degree. He said that he wanted his children to see what he did for a living and he also said that he was still young enough to do it. I don't think he accomplished this with the movie so that would leave the possiblity of him performing one last time.

I want Michael safe, healthy and happy and I think he can come back and have all of this and much more. We have not heard the last from Michael Joe Jackson!

Love you Michael!

Iamhere4MJ, are you a beLIEver, that MJ is alive and hoaxed his death? Thanks for all your info and perspective.

Yes, I believe that Michael is alive and yes this hoax was planned. We may have lost the King Of Pop but we didn't lose Michael. God Bless Joseph and Katherine.

Love you Michael!

From my understanding Michael does own Neverland, however just what his percentage is has been stated anywhere from 30 - 50%. My personal belief is more like 60-70%. In the documents that were released from the Estate (the ones where they want information withheld where people are filing claims) it clearly states that Neverland is part of the Estates assets.  :D

Michael was in full control of Neverland in 2008 right before joining forces with Barrack, the Sycamore Valley Ranch Company, LLC and 1224, LLC.

Love you Michael!

I have read through the complaint and came across some words that were used quite frequently which really isn't odd since this is a 'legal' document but what is odd are the words themselves. Below are the 5 causes of actions and the wording(s) that I found:

Page 4:

Defendants DOES 1-100 are currently unkown to Plaintiffs at this time and Plaintiffs reserve the right to add them as defendants as their identity and culpability becomes known.

Pages 9 - 12:

FIRST CAUSE OF ACTION: BREACH OF CONTRACT BASED AND OTHER DUTIES OF CARE is againt AEG and DOES 1-75.

was threatened that if he did not comply

physical inuries

The AEG defendants and DOES 1-75 were involved in a civil conspiracy to commit these wrongs against Michael Jackson.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Pages 13 and 14:

SECOND CAUSE OF ACTION: NEGLIGENT HIRING, TRAINING, AND SUPERVISION against AEG and DOES 1-75

The Second Cause of Action is againt......and DOES 1-75.

receive no treatment from other physicians

specifically requested a full-time nurse and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation equipment for the treatment of Jackson

The AEG defendants and DOES 1-75 were involved in a civil conspiracy to commit these wrongs against Michael Jackson.

physical injuries
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pages 14 and 15:

THIRD CAUSE OF ACTION: FRAUD and CONSTRUCTIVE FRAUD as against AEG and DOES 1-75

The Third Cause of Action is againtst..............and DOES 1-75

June 18th as well as at other dates and times.

injured

The AEG defendants and DOES 1-75 were involved in a civil conspiracy to commit these wrongs against Michael Jackson.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Page 15:

FOURTH CAUSE OF ACTION: NEGLIGENT INFLICTION OF EMOTIONAL DISTRESS (DILLON V. LEGG) against AEG and DOES 1-75

The Fourth Cause of Action is brought by...as against AEG Live.....and DOES 1-100

being injured

injured

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Page 16:

FIFTH CAUSE OF ACTION: RESPONDEAT SUPERIOR AS AGAINST AEG and DOES 1-100 FOR MURRAY'S NEGLIGENCE)

The Fifth Cause of Action is against AEG Live.......and DOES 1-100.

physical injuries

to treat Jackson's insomnia on an outpatient basis

The AEG defendants, Murray, and DOES 1-100 were involved in a civil conspiracy to commit these wrongs against Michael Jackson.

physical injuries

So what words do we have and how many times are they repeated?

4 physical injuries
3 injured
4 civil conspiracies
1 threatened
1 outpatient basis to treat insomnia
1 request for nurse and equipment
1 no treatment from other physicians
1 defendants, Murray and DOES 1-100
3 defendants, Murray and DOES 1-75
3 causes of actions listing DOES 1-75
2 causes of actions listing DOES 1-100
1 June 18 as well as other dates and times

As I was looking at these words I'm asking myself what is physical injuries doing in this complaint? Michael did not 'die' of any physical injuries - he died of acute propofol overdose. However broken bones and burns would be considered physical injuries and what does one take for the pain that goes along with these injuries? Prescription medications. I think this complaint is telling us Michaels life and how/why the King Of Pop/Michael Jackson died on June 25th, 2009.

Another part of this that caught my eye were the words civil conspiracy:

Conspiracy Law & Legal Definition

Conspiracy is a separate offense, by which someone conspires or agrees with someone else to do something which, if actually carried out, would amount to another federal crime or offense. It is an agreement or a kind of partnership for criminal purposes in which each member becomes the agent or partner of every other member. It is not necessary to prove that the criminal plan actually was accomplished or that the conspirator was involved in all stages of the planning or knew all of the details involved. The main elements that need to be proven are a voluntary agreement to participate and some overt act by one of the conspirators in furtherance of the criminal plan. If a person has an understanding of the unlawful nature of a plan and knowingly and willfully joins in that plan on one occasion, that is sufficient to convict him for conspiracy even though he had not participated before and even though he played only a minor part. A conspiracy may exist when the parties use legal means to accomplish an illegal result, or to use illegal means to achieve something that in itself is lawful.

Wheel and chain conspiracies are two types of conspiracies described in prosecuting offenders. A chain conspiracy involves parties linked together in a linear fashion. Typical drug or firearm smuggling organizations are chain conspiracies. It may consist of a series of drug deals, from manufacturer to the street dealer. In a wheel conspiracy, the ringleader is the "hub" and subsidiary parties are the "spokes". It is generally easier for prosecution to prove that a "chain" constituted a single conspiracy than it is to prove that a "wheel" was a single organization.

Ok so now we may have the root of this complaint - the people who kept Michael supplied with the drugs to keep him under control and they, in my opinion are represented by the DOES 1-100 AND DOES 1-75 that are mentioned repeatedly in the complaint.

And what does DOES mean?

Criminal Complaint

A criminal complaint charges the person named or an unknown person with a particular offense. For example, after the bombing of a federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995, authorities issued a john doe complaint, charging an unknown person or persons with the crime.

Let's look a little closer at the earlier years, the tours and how they fit in with This Is It and the complaint and also keep in mind the accusations and the trial:

Bad tour dates:

1. The Bad World Tour was the first solo concert tour by Michael Jackson = This Is It was Michael's first concert in 12 years, kind of like being his first all over again.

2. On September 12, 1987 Michael kicked off his first ever solo tour at the Korakuen-Stadium (meanwhile known as Tokyo Dome) in Tokyo, Japan. = the O2 was known as the Millenium Dome.

3. Michael had invited the magicians Siegfried and Roy to create illusions for his "Bad" tour and, in return, wrote a special number, "Mind Is The Magic", to open their show at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas = Michael hired Ed Alonzo, the "Misfit of Magic" 6 weeks prior to his 'death'.

4. Before the tour even kicked off, new costumes and stage effects were in production for the second leg. This was due to the lack of preparation time Jackson had = In the movie it is stated new costumes and effects were in the making and the shows got pushed back because of time!

5. Tickets for the concert could not be purchased at regular box offices, as a special lottery system determined ticket receivers = The Memorial had a lottery for the tickets
--------------------
Dangerous tour dates:

Start date June 27, 1992
End date November 11, 1993

The tour, sponsored by Pepsi-Cola

***Similarities between the Dangerous tour and Katherines complaint:

During the tour's third leg in 1993, Jackson decided to end the tour due to, as he announced, illness which ultimately resulted in hospitalization. Jackson had become dependent on painkillers and suffered from dehydration, migraines, back aches, frequent ankle injuries and stress.

but due to pressure as a result of the child abuse accusations (which were generating huge media and press attention), as well as various health problems and injuries, Jackson ended the tour in Mexico.

It is speculated that Jackson began taking Valium, Xanax and Ativan (known as lorazepam (this is listed in the autopsy report) in the UK) to deal with the stress of the accusations made against him. By the fall of 1993, Jackson became addicted to pain killers, and went into drug rehabilitation for a few months.

***Now here are the similarities between the Dangerous tour and This Is It:

The tour also incorporated several stage illusions.

Each concert also began with a illusion-like stunt dubbed "the Toaster"

Jackson sold the film rights to his concert in Bucharest on October 1, 1992 to HBO for $21 million.

In 2004, the concert was released on DVD as part of Jackson's Ultimate Collection box set.

History tour dates:

Start date September 7, 1996
End date October 15, 1997

50 June 18, 1997 Milan Italy San Siro 90,000

The birth of Kingdom International, a joint venture between Jackson and HRH Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, the nephew of the Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, the King of Saudi Arabia from 1982 to 2005, was announced at a press conference held at the Palais des Congres in Paris, France on 19 March 1995.

It was then announced that Jackson would embark on his third solo world tour.
--------------------------------------
For me the three tours show a connection with injuries, drugs, the movie and a connection with powerful organizations (Pepsi and the King of Saudi Arabia).

Notice under the causes in the complaint it lists either AEG and DOES 1-100 or AEG and DOES 1-75. How can they list under a cause the number of DOES? I bet they do know who these DOES are and that is the trial that we will be seeing. My guess is that Murray is represented but as one of the DOES and not as Conrad Murray and AEG represents the big guys who were behind all of this.

MICHAEL WE LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT AND WE WILL BE HERE NO MATTER WHAT!

We can only hope that Lisa is part of this hoax and that she does regret the words that she spoke years ago and remember she is the one who asked the fans for sunflowers to be brought to Forest Lawn. Let's try not to have our anger get in front of what might be a truly eye opening experience.

Love you Michael!

Michael still owns Neverland, so the kids don't have to worry about buying it back and the land is zoned agricultural so turning it into a shrine would be a task.

Well, I do see TS and to me that means Tom Sneddon. In Lisa's other post in the last paragraph you will see LET'S SURROUND HIM! This is what TS did to Michael with the raid. And we also have the following words that have capital letters (and these words are in mid sentence, no reason to be capitalized):

Autopsy

I wonder what this means? Well I took the first letter of each word and formed words from that and I got raid, wins, fit, ca, kid - have no idea if it means anything!

I thought I'd share some thoughts in general about this whole situation that all of us on this forum are voluntarily participating in. We already understand that MJ knows all about how to use the Power of Mystery : holding back, keeping things hidden and not giving EVERYTHING away, makes people WANT IT more. This is just a simple fact of Human Nature, no magic involved...... yet it creates magic! It stimulates people's minds and they conjure up all sorts of ideas as to what they think is going on. I beLIEve that's what MJ wants to SEE -- people interacting and what types of theories they come up with. It's as much a human experiment in observation as anything else, and if it raises people's awareness in other areas of global importance, then that's a terrific by - product bonus.
Howard Hughes also knew how to make the public interested in him... ring any bells! It was interesting how the hoax involving the writing of Howard Hughes' autobiography played out. It's food for thought.
I think we would all agree that MJ has earned the right to observe the world away from the spotlight for a while, given that he has been on public display for a lifetime with people scrutinizing his every move and judging him without even knowing him personally. Despite all of the trials and tribulations he has handled himself with a lot of grace considering the ordeals he has been subjected to. There has been a lot of fantastic investigating and examination of information going on over the last 15 months but we still need to focus on the man and his messages as I don't think that speculation on which way his chest hair grows is what he meant when he asked that we "discover the man you never knew".

I have always believed that this hoax is Michael's life being told to us through him. We are being given puzzle pieces to fit together to make the final picture. Through the media, friends and family we have been told the pain(s) of his life and the depths to which some people will go just to make a buck.

He asked us to give him our endurance and patience and as you say BlackJack he knows how to use the Power of Mystery. Just feeding us enough to ask questions and to think what the answer could possibly be and because no two people are alike, there will be a multitude of answers to make one think which will only take you on another journey which will lead you somewhere else. The cycle will continue until Dead Reckoning is upon us.

I have thought before that we were being shown how it felt to be Michael at times. With the fans being divided the 'believers' got a taste of the hostility from the 'non-believers' just as Michael was constantly hounded without merit by the press. Of course this is for comparison reasons only and nothing could ever come close to what Michael endured and yes he is a remarkable human being.

I for one am glad that I came along for the ride, it has opened my eyes to many things.

Love you Michael!
