Teddy Riley claims criticism of 'Michael' is 'disappointing'

One of the producers behind Michael Jackson's forthcoming posthumous album has hit back at criticism of the project from Quincy Jones.

Teddy Riley, who has contributed three songs to 'Michael', argued that 77-year-old Jones' hearing is not up to the task of determining whether it is Jackson singing on the tracks.

Last month, Jones - the man behind classic Jackson albums such as 'Thriller' and 'Off The Wall' - told US Magazine that there is "no way ['Michael'] should be coming out".

However, Riley has hit back at his comments, telling The Guardian: "Look at his [Jones'] age. He can barely hear you talk. How the hell could he hear Michael? Anybody who says [it is not Jackson on the album], I do have a comeback, because you're not right. That's just the bottom line."

Riley added that it is "disappointing" that Jackson's family have also been critical of 'Michael', as they are set to be "reaping the benefits" of sales of the album.

Last month, Michael Jackson's brother Randy joined the row about the authenticity of the King of Pop's vocals on the record, claiming that "some of the songs are him and some aren't".

'Michael', which is released tomorrow (December 13), features guest appearances from the likes of Dave Grohl, Lenny Kravitz, 50 Cent and Akon.

Riley has already claimed that more previously unheard Michael Jackson songs will be released in the future.

I especially liked the part about 'Look how old he is..'don't hold back with the insults T,just because you're not on twitter...aim and shoot.

Michael Jackson syringes still not tested

LOS ANGELES – Attorneys for the doctor charged in Michael Jackson's death asked a judge on Wednesday to order testing on two syringes and an IV bag found in the pop singer's home that they say are rapidly deteriorating.

The request comes after more than a month of private meetings between defense attorneys, prosecutors and the judge to try to reach an agreement about the testing.

Dr. Conrad Murray's defense team has expressed urgency, saying fluids in the items are deteriorating rapidly and have become "salt" in one of the syringes.

The tests they are seeking may determine the quantities of drugs in the items, which the cardiologist's lawyers say could be crucial information during trial. It is also expected to destroy the substances and not enough remains for multiple attempts, according to transcripts of the meetings obtained by The Associated Press.

Attorney J. Michael Flanagan told the AP that he submitted a motion Wednesday asking a judge to order the testing after being unable to reach an agreement with prosecutors about the testing. No hearing date has been set, he said.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death in June 2009 at age 50. Authorities say he gave the singer a lethal dose of sedatives, including the anesthetic propofol and painkiller lidocaine.

"We are running out of time," Flanagan said.

An e-mail message left for district attorney's spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons was not immediately returned Wednesday.

Prosecutors have refused to agree to a testing plan. "We don't think it is relevant," prosecutor David Walgren said during a Dec. 16 meeting, according to a transcript.

Court transcripts obtained by the AP show that Murray's defense attorneys, prosecutors and Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor have spoken in chambers three times about the syringes and testing.

Transcripts from the meetings show Murray's defense team is willing to have the items tested by the Los Angeles coroner's office. The fluids have degraded and it remained unknown whether the proposed testing will yield useful information, according to the transcripts.

Murray's attorneys contend testing, which would establish the quantities of the drugs, should have been done along with other tests after the singer's death.

Flanagan said he had been trying to get the testing done for more than five months to no avail.

The results of the tests are not expected to be used during Murray's preliminary hearing, which is scheduled to begin Jan. 4. At that hearing, Pastor will determine whether there is enough evidence for Murray to stand trial on an involuntary manslaughter charge.

Walgren said during a meeting with the judge last week the hearing may be delayed a few days because of scheduling problems with witnesses. The prosecutor said he could call as many as 35 witnesses during the hearing, which is expected to last two to three weeks, according to a transcript of the in-chambers meeting.

The judge said he wanted the hearing to begin on time due to his busy trial schedule.

In a separate case, Murray retained his license to practice medicine in Nevada after reaching an agreement Friday with the state medical board in which he admitted making inaccurate and incomplete statements to the board about being current on child support.

Murray received a reprimand and agreed to pay at least $3,700 in investigation costs, Deputy Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners chief Edward Cousineau said Wednesday. — AP

Glee Cast To Perform Thriller!
The cast will take on the Michael Jackson classic in their Super Bowl episode...
12:28, Thursday, 18 November 2010
The first details of the upcoming Glee Super Bowl show have apparently been revealed, with the cast set to perform their take on Michael Jackson's Thriller.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the characters will perform the song in a mash-up with another track, but that the episode will not be a Jackson tribute.
Instead they claim that the show will include covers of will include covers of tracks by Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas and Lady Antebellum.
The episode is expected to continue the Super Bowl theme by focusing on the local football championship and the Cheerios' regionals competition.
Contrary to rumours earlier in the year the Super Bowl episode will not be a tribute to Elton John, but his music is expected to be the focus of an episode later in the current series

“Glee” will continue its assault on pop culture’s most history defining music with its super-sized Super Bowl episode. How do you top Britney Spears? How do top Madonna? How do you top The Rocky Horror Picture Show? The answer is two words: Michael Jackson. The King of Pop will be featured on the hit Fox series after television’s biggest event.

A “Glee” source has exclusively confirmed to EW, that Jackson’s “Thriller” will be the song of choice for the show’s Super Bowl episode. Before you get too excited (or angry) there will be a twist to their rendition. The song will be included in a mash-up with another yet to be named tune. What in the world could be worthy enough to be mixed in with “Thriller?” Maybe something from The Beatles or The Rolling Stones? Perhaps, they’ll pick a present day hit to balance it out?
Even though MJ’s music will be in the episode, the entire show won’t be dedicated to him. In all honesty the only superstar who was mentioned as a possible contender to get that treatment is Sir Elton John, which they claim will happen at some point later in the season.

What do you think of Glee’s decision to use Thriller? Who should they mash it up with?

Most people will only tune in to watch them perform Thriller, really, let's be honest..it's glee...however,it mirrors back to when more people tuned in during the superbowl half time break to watch him Perform all those years ago than EVER before or since...coinsidence?I think not.

The episode is due out around Feb 2011.

What is the general consensus on this piece of information??

Michael Jackson has been dead for more than a year but there was a stir of echoes recently when, to mark the forthcoming release of the first new material since he bowed out, both his children and father spoke up from their different sides of the grave.

The children – so light-skinned that they resemble the result of an illicit liaison between Nicole Kidman and Casper The Friendly Ghost – were cool, calm and collected as they paid tribute to their dear old dad who, despite his habits of dangling babies over balconies and having sleepovers with rug-rats, turns out to have been just plain folks at home. "He tried to raise us without [us] knowing who he was, but that didn't go so well... I kind of felt like no one understands what a good father he was," Jackson's daughter Paris told Oprah Winfrey, touchingly. "I'd say he was the best cook ever. He was just a normal dad, except he was the best dad."

Meanwhile, Jackson's own dad, the horrifying Joe, popped up like a Demon King, also on Oprah, to recommend the strap as a surefire way of keeping one's kids on the straight and narrow. On hearing that MJ's children are now living with their grandmother, the long-suffering Katherine, I did wonder whether that meant this slap-happy old maniac had access to them and whether the reason MJ might have made them wear masks was to keep them safe from their own grandpa as much as from the prying eyes of Looky-Lous.
And despite seeing the darker side of fame played out on their father's poor ruined face, they told Oprah they plan careers in showbiz – Paris, 12, as an actress and Prince Michael (good try, but not as classy as his uncle Jermaine's son's name: Jermajesty), 13, as a director.

I've noticed this about showbiz dynasties. The parents always give interviews about how lonely it is in the limelight, and how they were just going about their business helping puppies cross the road when the Fame Fairy came down and thrust herself upon them, and how civilians don't understand the pressure (of being caked in make-up and having their photo taken on a daily basis – sort of like being a brain surgeon crossed with a coal miner, pressure-wise) and how they'd give it all up like that for a little house on the prairie and true love.

Then they have a kid – and for all their talk about paparazzi intrusion they thrust that tot into the spotlight as soon as it can scribble its childish scrawl on the dotted line. Look at Madonna – boasting recently about how strict she's been with her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes, never letting her watch television and forbidding such fun teen pastimes as hair-dying and hottie-dating. But she's bragging about her daughter's alleged down-to-earthness at the launch of their junior clothing line, Material Girl, at Macy's.

The message is clear; life beyond showbiz is barely worth living and the best start you can give your brats is to make sure they stay firmly within the limits of the plush playpen. All across the trashy/classy scale, from the ghastly Osbournes to the vile Redgraves, this rule holds – no wonder popular culture often seems so exhausted and uninspired, weighed down as it is by so much lucky sperm and afterbirth washing around.

In light of this the recent hysteria about the authenticity of TV talent shows seems naive and reactionary to say the least. The X Factor, far from being some sort of imperialist Zionist plot, is one of the few places where the unconnected, non-famous-named performer can actually be heard. It doesn't matter who goes home or who stays; if they have a voice, chances are they'll have a career at the end of it.
If he was alive, it's pretty certain that Michael Jackson would be appearing on the season finale; as it is Prince has been tempted out of retirement. To be sung off the stage, no doubt, by Rebecca Ferguson – not Sting's or Adrian Edmondson's or Jools Holland's daughter for a change, but an artiste of amazing skill and promise who, without The X Factor, would probably get no nearer to fame than handing back some dumb WAG's dry cleaning.
Ruled by Etonians as we are once more, with social mobility slowed to an all-time low, the sense of entitlement for the few and jam tomorrow for the many hanging over this country like a suffocating smog slips away, for a few hours on a Saturday night, for a handful of people who would otherwise be condemned to spend their lives doing boring jobs that Kelly Osbourne and Jade Jagger would be far more suited to. You'd have to be a real lemon-sucking killjoy – or else the spawn of a useless mob of free-loading no-marks with a famous name – not to get that.

Someone wanna pass me a bat?
If all it takes to be called a 'journalist' in 2010 is to write some lies and bitter jealous remarks about someone you have ZERO knowledge of then I know plenty of people who are in the wrong career.Half of facebook should be writing articles for the media.

Rany Quaid has come out and said he and a whole list of Hollywood stars are being wiped out and there is a conspiracy to gain control of their millions..
Hmmmm

That sounding familiar to anyone else?

Source: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Actor Randy Quaid is seen arriving for a immigration hearing in Vancouver, Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010. Quaid says he and Hollywood celebs like Mel Gibson and Lindsay Lohan are victims of a conspiracy out to destroy them.
Actor Randy Quaid alleges there’s a conspiracy to kill him and several other troubled Hollywood stars in order to gain control of their millions.
In a bizarre speech to reporters outside the Vancouver immigration office where he’s attempting to gain permission to live in Canada, Quaid said Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears have been victims of a similar conspiracy.
The actor who was arrested by border officials in Vancouver last week said he and his wife aren’t criminals, fugitives from justice or crazy.
On Thursday, the actor claimed that for the last 20 years he and his wife Evi have been the victims of criminal activities by people who are out to destroy them personally, professionally and financially.
He became emotional as he told reporters that in the last five years eight actors he’s known have been murdered.
“We believe there to be a malignant tumour of star whackers in Hollywood,” he said, naming Heath Ledger, Chris Penn and David Carradine as some of their victims.
Ledger died in 2008 of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. An autopsy said 40-year-old Penn died in 2006 of heart disease and the official cause of Carradine’s death last year was accidental asphyxiation.

“I believe these actors were whacked and I believe many others, such as Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Mel Gibson are being played to get at their money,” Quaid told a crush of reporters.
He said about $40 million of his earnings have been stolen from him.
I am being embezzled by this monstrous ring of accountants, estate planners and lawyers who are mercilessly slandering me and trying to kill my career and, I believe, murder me in order to gain control of my royalties.
Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested on an outstanding U.S. warrant for allegedly damaging a home they once owned in Montecito, Calif. In September 2009, the Quaids were accused of skipping out on a $10,000 hotel bill, but felony charges were dropped when Evi Quaid made a plea deal on a misdemeanour offence.

“Up until a year ago, Evi and I had never had any run-in with the law, whatsoever. We are not criminals, nor are we fugitives from justice, nor are we crazy,” Quaid said. “We are simply artists and filmmakers who are being racketeered on.”
Both the Quaids were held in custody until Wednesday when their lawyer discovered Evi can lay claim to Canadian citizenship. Both had claimed refugee status.
Their lawyer, Catherine Sas, said Randy may abandon the claim and could still remain in Canada on a work permit, as a permanent resident or any number of other opportunities.

Sas said the couple had posted cash bonds in connection to the U.S. charges and the warrants for their arrest have been dismissed
The Quaids are due in court in Santa Barbara next week, and Sas said the couple will attend if necessary.
“My client is intending to comply with the law in both jurisdictions and we are going to spend the next couple of days strategizing about how to achieve that.”
The actor is best known for roles in films such as Independence Day and National Lampoon’s Vacation. He was nominated for an supporting-actor Oscar in the 1973 movie The Last Detail, featuring Jack Nicholson.

Well,well,well.....the corruption in the Entertainment industry never fails to amaze and disgust me all at the same time.
Michael was definitley one of these victims also,I think we'd all agree on that.

Michael Jackson News / MJ's New Album-Pitting Family against Friends?

It’s not easy putting out this new Michael Jackson album. In fact, it’s turned into a war among family and friends.

There are big, big problems concerning which tracks to put on an album of unreleased material that’s supposed to be in stores for Christmas. Right now, even as you read this, Sony Music is struggling with all the parties involved to finalize details and start making CDs.

The biggest issues have come because of what’s known as the “Cascio” tracks. Five of them are so good that they’ve been slated for inclusion. But there’s the rub. According to sources, co-executor John McClain has poisoned the water with Katherine Jackson regarding the Cascio family. On Monday, Mrs. Jackson apparently insisted that no tracks from the Cascio sessions be included.

Adding to the anti-Cascio field are Tito Jackson‘s sons, known as the 3 T’s. The middle T, Taryll, is said to be very bitter about the Cascios. “For years the T’s tried to get Michael to record their songs,” says an insider. “Now they’re faced with the fact that Michael recorded with the Cascios, and not them. They’re not happy.”

Adding to the trouble is that the T’s and McClain have evidently drawn Michael’s two eldest children into the fight. Prince and Paris were with their father when he stayed at the New Jersey home of close family friends Dominic and Connie Cascio from August to November, 2007. They witnessed their father working with Cascio sons Eddie and Frank, and singer Bobby Ewing.

The Ts, who are close to the children, especially Terrell, according to sources, have pressured the children to say the vocals on the tracks are not those of their father. Initially, Prince Jackson, 13, had vouched for the recordings. But recently, an email was sent to the estate’s executors from Paris, 11, claiming the voice belongs to an impostor. The only problem, sources say, is that the email was time stamped while Paris was in school.

In the end, it may not matter what the Ts, Michael’s children, or his mother, or John McClain thinks. Sony made a deal with the estate earlier this year that could be worth $200 million. They’re so keen on the Cascio tracks they even hired forensic audiologists to make sure the vocals are Michael’s and not those of an imitator. The Jackson family will likely have to accept those findings and let the estate and Sony proceed with the album.

Hmmm...Thoughts everyone??
This album is meant to be about to shipped out worldwide for sale in November..and they are still deciding on tracks....

The Court Of Last Resort
"The Court of Last Resort was founded by Erle Stanley Gardner in the 1950s. The team sought to reveal whether someone already found guilty might really be innocent. The show dramatized the original crime then followed the investigation. Actual cases were used "

This video points out that there was a 1957 (yep check that 5 and 7 first) TV show about investorgators who went back in time to solve crimes that had put innocent people behind bars.
One was titled 'The Conrad Murray Case'.....think that turns your lightbulb on..wait for this, the actor-yes...another Actor...lol..who played Conrad Murray in this TV show episode...was also in a tv show called THIS IS IT something called 'THE SCARECROWE and another one called....THRILLER.......don't we know someone else who has been in all those roles/movies too???....nah...couldn't be...could it?

It was also the 7th Episode in the series.

Is your lightbulb fully lit now?The alarm bells going off?BECAUSE MINE ARE!!!
Coinsidence?I THINK NO.There is no way in hell anyone is telling me i'm crazy.
