I believe it could've been for one or two reasons:
1) Doubles. Yes, I believe he used one or two on occasion.
2) Sleepless nights could have created bags under his eyes, so he used sunglasses to cover them.

I think its the same either way. When I hear "clear" I think clear his name from all the rumors surrounding him. When I hear "clean" its pretty much the same thing (in my head).

Karen Faye honestly makes me want to punch a hole in my wall. She tends to spew hate at anyone who gets too close to Michael. Its disgusting really, she needs to move on. You know what? I think we should stop asking her questions. The more questions we ask, the more she opens her mouth. And she's spitting nothing but nonsense-- I can't be the only one getting tired of it.
As for the letter. I'm no handwriting analyst, so I don't know if it's Michael's or not. My gut tells me yes because of its poetic flow, but my mind is telling me its just a fan.

p.s.: Karen sold pictures to the media with personal notes, so she really should shut up. I don't know what she is doing, but it is starting to disgust me. Trying to get attention over Mike's back with her blogs and tweets. Does she have a role to play? Maybe, but I don't like the charachter. I couldn't agree more. There is something really shady about her. She seems like (for lack of a better word) an attention-seeker.

On the This Is It poster they don't show the orange pants either. You know the silhouette made up of pictures? It only shows the one wearing the red shirt. I do find it a little odd... I mean they are supposed to be creating this movie in honor of Michael's legend. I don't see why they would cut out pictures of him in orange pants (and also the gold jacket with white shirt) just because he didn't look as "appealing".

I don't think she's in it, but I think she learned about it after the 25th by hearsay. That's probably why she's so bitter-- her "beloved" Michael didn't include her in the gameplan. Just my humble opinion.

Well first and foremost... welcome to the forum Mike!
Many people have different theories of why he faked his death. Some feel he was in serious danger, and others feel he was doing it for his own private reasons [maybe taking a break from it all]. A comeback, in my opinion, is still pretty unclear.
I think that some people are paid off to keep their mouths shut [EMT's and such] about what happened that day. And I think most people would agree that TMZ is in on it [they reported Michael was dead 6 minutes before UCLA, and said they could've done it significantly before then as well]. As for the bill? I'm thinking the estate is paying them off with all the profits made from CD's and other merchandise.
There are speculations for there being doubles in This Is It, but its pretty controversial. I personally believe it, but there are some split ideas on this one. There is a section on the site called "The Double Theory".

I think a prepared speech was put on the teleprompter for him to read (most likely written by one of the controlling parasites that call themselves "friends"). But instead he created his own, on the spot, and went with his heart.

I've always thought they spent too muchtime on that particular part. Weird, huh? Well great minds think alike, I guess.  I think it could be something, but I don't think it's been discussed much yet.
