If this has already been posted elsewhere (I couldn't find it), please feel free to remove. For those you interested, NASA is giving a televised conference on Monday at 12:30pm EST about something Chandra found.  Might be interesting...


MEDIA ADVISORY : M10-157  NASA Announces Televised Chandra News Conference   WASHINGTON -- NASA will hold a news conference at 12:30 p.m. EST on Monday, Nov. 15, to discuss the Chandra X-ray Observatory's discovery of an exceptional object in our cosmic neighborhood.

The news conference will originate from NASA Headquarters' television studio, 300 E St. SW in Washington and carried live on NASA TV.

Media representatives may attend the conference, join by phone or ask questions from participating NASA locations. To RSVP or obtain dial-in information, journalists must send their name, affiliation and telephone number to Trent Perrotto at: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login by 10 a.m. EST on Nov. 15. Reporters wishing to attend the conference in-person must have a valid press credential for access. Non-U.S. media also must bring passports.

Scientists involved in the research will be available to answer questions. Panelists providing analysis of the research include:

- Kimberly Weaver, astrophysicist, NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md.

Randy Jackson is outraged that his parents allowed Oprah Winfrey in the Jackson family home for an interview ... because he thinks Oprah tried to put his dead brother in jail.



Randy Tweeted last night that he was beside himself that Joe and Katherine Jackson would invite a woman into their home who tried to poison the jury in the Michael Jackson molestation trial.

Randy notes ... Oprah did a show on pedophilia during jury deliberations and, as he puts it, "That was no coincidence."

Randy goes on ... "She is the last person on earth he [Michael] would want around his children."

Randy says he had no idea the interview was going to take place and thinks his parents made a bad mistake.

Ideas & Suggestion for MJDHI / Category: LOVE

Someone had suggested, in one of their posts (sorry can't remember who), that there should be a thread about 'love'.  I would take that even further and suggest that there should be a category dedicated to 'love'.  I'm not sure where you'd put it, but it can be subdivided to include "Good News" (since we are bombarded daily with the complete opposite)...these could include news stories that reflect loving acts but that get, if anything, a passing mention in mainstream news.  Just everyday people doing extraordinary acts of love and/or kindness.

Another subdivision could be "Inspirational Stories and Poems"...which may or may not be necessarily "true" stories...but stories and poems that have touched our hearts that we'd like to share in the hopes of inspiring others.

Yet another subdivision can be "Children"...again, stories and/or poems that inspire us to be more gentle towards children.  Michael LOVED children, all children, and often spoke about the need for all of us to be more gentle and loving towards them.  This section would differ in the one above only in the sense that it would be specifically dedicated to the topic of children.

A charity section would fit nicely under this category as well.  Here, members can post about the charity work they are engaged in or the charities that they are supporting (TheRunningGirl is an excellent example of how someone can and did make a difference).  We could also use this section as a way to come together, as a family, to target one charity (at a time)...with members joining forces in Michael's name.

I'm sure there are other subdivisions that can be added, these are just the ones that came to mind right away.  This whole 'adventure' that we are all on has had its ups and downs...and we all know how low the downs can be.  I think the forum needs some positive energy and a category such as this would be, for me anyway, like taking my vitamins in the morning!

Just my thoughts...please feel free to agree/disagree, or to make further suggestions.

I'm not sure if this has been posted already (didn't see it anywhere)...just delete if it's a double post.  Does anyone know who Lorene Malaika is and what her connection to MJ is???  Her tweets to Randy on July 5th and to Karen Faye today are quite disturbing.  WTH is going on?  Any info would be greatly apprecited.

Michael Jackson News / 5.5 Earthquake Hits Ontario, Canada

I live close to Toronto and felt the house shake for about 30 seconds.  Wasn't sure what was going on but it has now been confirmed as a 5.5 earthquake.  It was felt in Ontario, Quebec and some US States.  Interesting how the G8/G20 meeting is happening in Toronto.

.There are reports of unusual ground shaking in various parts of Ontario and Quebec, including Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. The Toronto newsroom of The Globe and Mail shook just before 1:45 p.m. EDT. The Ottawa newsroom was evacuated at about 1:43 p.m.

Twitter users as distant as Springfield, Massachusetts and Traverse City, Michigan reported feeling tremors. A Globe reporter in Montreal said that city also shook.

The earthquake rattled buildings in Ottawa, where the streets are crowded with office workers who evacuated their workplaces.

An eyewitness saw items flying off the shelves at a pharmacy in Gatineau, QC.

“We felt the building shake. It was actually it was pretty serious. It was definitely the strongest quake that I ever felt,” said Dennis Choquette, a Globe and Mail online editor based in Ottawa.

The shaking lasted about 15 seconds, Mr. Choquette said.

The severity of the earthquake is not yet known. It is not yet known whether there have been any reports of
injuries.
