Many people have been messaging lately about the vicious documentary that will air in about two weeks at a certain festival we don't want to give any attention. People wondered why I have been silent so far. Reason is that I have been thinking what to do because I personally don't believe any petitions will work and emailing the estate, festival or channels that will broadcast it later this year, won't do anything either I believe.

The estate knows, the problem is that legally they can't do anything from airing the documentary. And that is extremely unfortunate in this case but it is the law. The estate will have to wait and see what is used in the documentary to see if they can sue in any other ways.

The festival and the channels will air anyway. Remember what Michael said: it's a conspiracy. That never ended, I believe there are people behind the scenes cooking this crap up. The documentary filmmaker is just a puppet.

This documentary will get a lot of attention I'm afraid. The only thing we can do then is steal that attention. But for that all the fans will have to unite. We have to organize Twitter rallies, we have to gather information, make memes and infop graphics and we have to make sure that get it done quick. There is no time for a rebuttal documentary, so while someone else (Taj I think will) takes the time to make a good one, we will have to form a digital army.

We May Have To Wait A Year For Decision In Michael Jackson Estate Tax Case

The Estate of Michael Jackson's long slog through Tax Court has been providing entertainment for nearly five years. Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009.  The Tax Court petition was filed August 14, 2013, which is pretty quick work.  The estate tax return, with a six month extension, was due in early 2011.  Then there is the audit and a trip to appeals and finally the IRS and the estate agreeing to disagree and the IRS issuing a notice of deficiency, the Estate's ticket to tax court which had to be cashed in ninety days.  The trial was on February 6, 2017.

Due to the Tax Court's lamentable lack of electronic transparency and my own thriftiness, I have to rely on new reports for the essence of the dispute.  Hannah Karp summed it up in the Wall Street Journal .

   

The estate said it considered his name and likeness essentially worthless, valuing it at $2,105, as Mr. Jackson’s reputation was then tainted by child-abuse allegations and his strange public behavior.

She goes on

   

But the IRS argues that the pop star’s name and likeness should have been valued at $161 million; that would be down from 2013, when it valued those rights at $434 million.

    “No celebrity’s name and likeness rights have sold for anywhere near that much—not Elvis, not Marilyn, not Ali. And Michael did not make that much from his name and likeness—as opposed to his music—in his lifetime,” said Mr. Weitzman, noting that he only earned about $50 million from those rights while he was alive. “They are trying to take what Michael’s estate created for his children after death and extract an unreasonable and excessive tax.”

Has There Ever Been Anything Like This?

The case that this reminds me of the most is the Estate of Virginia C Andrews.  VC Andrews had this series of "children in peril" novels beginning with Flowers in The Attic in 1979, which was really creepy and enough of the series for me.   After she died in 1986, Andrew Neiderman continued the series under the VC Andrews name.  What was that name worth when VC Andrews died?  The IRS has the benefit of hindsight and could see that the sequels made money for the estate, but it was hardly a sure thing when she died.

Michael Jackson is the highest paid dead celebrity for the sixth year in a row.

The late King of Pop - who sadly died in June 2009 aged 50 - reportedly pulled in around £313 million (S$560 million) over the last year, which was boosted by the sale of his EMI Music Publishing stake to Sony.

Earnings will also have been helped by 'Michael Jackson's Halloween' - an animated TV special which first aired in 2017 - according to Forbes magazine.

John Branca, the Jackson estate's co-executor, said: "You see 'Charlie Brown Christmas' and 'Charlie Brown Thanksgiving' every year, so now we're looking to have 'Michael Jackson's Halloween' every year. We hope that it'll become evergreen."

Meanwhile, rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley - who died aged 42 in 1977 - follows in second place having made £31 million over 2017.

As well as record sales, the star's earnings also come from the new 'Elvis Presley's Memphis' entertainment complex created at his famous Graceland home.

The new development is described on the official website as: "A state-of-the-art entertainment and exhibit complex over 200,000-square-feet in size, [which] enables you to follow the life path that Elvis took, surround yourself with the things that he loved, and experience the sights and sounds of the city that inspired him."

Fellow musicians Bob Marley, Prince and John Lennon all found themselves in the top 10, which also features golfer Arnold Palmer, 'Charlie Brown' creator Charles Schulz, children's author Dr. Seuss, 'Playboy' founder Hugh Hefner and big screen icon Marilyn Monroe.

Michael Jackson is speaking from the dead according to the King of Pop’s close friend and choreographer Kenny Ortega.

“Michael is here 24/7 . . . and always here whispering in my ear. I mean he is indelible, he is forever. He is alive in spirit with me always,” Ortega said at the 8th annual World of Choreography Awards.

Ortega choreographed Jackson’s “This Is It” tour before the icon passed away from a propofol overdose.

Jackson’s older sister, La Toya, has made similar claims about the star since he died.

She told “Good Day New York” in 2013 that security guards at their family’s Encino, Calif., compound heard tap dancing in the house.

“When he told me, I said, ‘You’re kidding . . . Michael used to do that every Sunday for two hours.’”

Earlier this week, the King of Pop topped Forbes' list for the highest paid dead celebrity of 2018, despite passing away in 2009 from an overdose of prescription drugs.

The Thriller singer raked in $400million (£310million) over the past year, mostly from the sale of his EMI Music Publishing stake.

Additional cash also came in from his Mijac Music catalogue, a new Sony record deal and projects like TV special "Michael Jackson’s Halloween", which returned to CBS on October 20.

And as Jackson topped the list for the sixth year in a row, conspiracy theories have emerged once more over the legitimacy of his death.
Video footage shows Jackson's crypt located at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles.

It was supposedly posted online by his cousin Latoya on his birthday this year (June 25), but some eagled-eye viewers have a problem with it.

"There is still no name on his crypt and it's because he is not dead and not inside," one woman revealed for the camera.

"He is not buried there, nothing adds up.

"Absolutely nothing, something was wrong with the death certificate, and then the coroner and the autopsy – it all adds up."

The clip was uploaded to YouTube, where it has since racked up more than 3,000 hits.

And viewers were stunned.

"You are so right, I agree – if he were dead, why wouldn't they have his name right there!

"I'd think it would be in gold letters," one claimed.

Another added: "Michael is alive."

And a third claimed: "When he faked his death, he did it for a reason, maybe he wanted to be alone."

The talented artist has been surrounded with controversy since his death nine years ago.

Just two months ago, a mismatch on his death certificate sparked frenzy among fans.

And before that, one conspiracist made an extraordinary discovery in a song by Jackson' sister.
