Michael Jackson and Children Attend Costume PartyYesterday, October 29, 2008, Michael Jackson and his three children attended a costume party.
Prince had on a costume from "V for Vendetta", Paris was dressed up in a butterfly mask, and Blanket was the grim reaper. Michael Jackson was wearing a conservative outfit and signed autographs for the fans that had gathered.
This marks the fourth photographed appearance by Michael Jackson in the past week after months of obscurity.please note the children's costumes. v for vendetta= justice, butterfly=rebirth, grim reaper= death. the last halloween he was publicly with his children. NOT a coincidence
This interview was with Corbin Bleu and how he met michael. this is to dispel the frail rumors.Jimmy Kimmel: Where did you meet him?
Corbin Bleu: Kenny Ortega, director of High School Musical, has done Michael's tour numerous times; he's worked on music videos. And, it was--he actually came to the High School Musical concert in Los Angeles.
Jimmy Kimmel: Michael Jackson?
Corbin Bleu: Michael Jackson came to the High School Musical concert.
Jimmy Kimmel: Really?
Corbin Bleu: With his kids. His kids are huge fans, go figure.
Jimmy Kimmel: Wow.
Corbin Bleu: And, he actually came to the backstage, and you know of course all these huge bodyguards come in and they check the surrounding and make sure there's no cameras. And then Michael walks in, he's got these big shades on. And, I mean, he's so cool. He's a guy, that's first of all. He's a dude... Most people, if you see him,
a lot of people think of him as you know, more of a frail kind of person. Dude walks in, he's a big guy, he's got a strong handshake.Jimmy Kimmel: Really?
Corbin Bleu: Yeah. He's very much of a, you know, he's a dude... The crazy part was that afterwards, we had to do the show, knowing that he's sitting right there. And we could see him. And my bit in the show is almost an entire homage to him. I mean, between the outfit, I pop up on the stage, a lot of the moves. I'm sitting up here going, "Michael Jackson's watching me dance right now!" I mean, it was just one of the most surreal moments of my life. But I grew up being so inspired by him, and loving him. I love his work.
Jimmy Kimmel: See, if that was me and my kids and you were doing like my moves, I'd be going, "That's mine. I did that. He stole that from me. You know that right? Okay." And we'd keep going, but that's how I work.
Does anyone know who Joby Rogers is? Apparently he is/was michael's "official subsitute." Seems like a nice guy. excerpt from an interview:
MJJR.net Interviews Joby Rogers
October 22, 2008MJJR.net: At one point, you received a signed document by Michael Jackson which named you as his "official substitute" after evaluating the work of more than 100 impersonators. How did this endorsement come about and what's the story behind it?
Joby Rogers: I was submitted along with many other impersonators for a chance to make an appearance as Michael in NYC. I was informed that Michael himself would be making the final decision.
I received a signed letter from Michael stating the following: "I, Michael Jackson, have been fully furnished by both my team and the team of Mr. Valentine (CTA) with pictures, video and sound samples. After viewing one hundred sixteen different (116) possible substitutes, it is the decision I, Michael Jackson, have made to have Mr. Joby Rogers affiliated with Concept West Agency located in Nevada to be my official substitute."MJJR.net: Some impersonators will do anything for financial gain. Edward Moss, for instance, has parodied Michael Jackson on a variety of negative outlets including the Scary Movie franchise, Date Movie, Mad TV skits, and more. In the past, you've stated that you would not accept any offer which was demeaning towards Michael. What are your thoughts on the impersonators who jump at all opportunities, regardless of their context?
Joby Rogers: I'm really cautious when it comes to doing appearances as "Michael Jackson". I prefer to make appearances as Michael in performance settings. I was actually offered the Edward Moss part in "Scary Movie 3" in the Spring of 2003. Miramax Films and I communicated for weeks about what it was exactly they wanted me to do. I turned them down when they refused to give me the details of the scene I was to portray Michael in. When I finally saw the scene that Moss participated in I was relieved that I had given up the part. I do not believe in adding to the negative media surrounding Michael. In 2005 I was interviewed by local, national and international media about the recent trial surrounding Michael Jackson and it's effect on the business of impersonating. I went on record declaring my belief that Michael Jackson was innocent and would be verified as such. If there is one thing that Michael is guilty of, it's trusting the wrong people. When you have the kind of money that Michael has, friends are not on your payroll. The one constant fact I've learned during my 20 plus years in Show Business is this: "The answer to 9 out of 10 questions is 'Money'." I had the pleasure of talking with Aphrodite Jones, a best selling crime novelist who covered the 2005 trial directly from the courtroom. At the onset of the trial she too was part of the negative media attacks. As the trial went on and all the facts were presented she left the one year ordeal with a completely different outlook on Michael. She was convinced without a doubt of his innocence. In retrospect the media reported very little about the facts presented in the trial and more on the pajamas Michael wore or what his prison uniform might look like. Which explains why so may people were shocked when Michael was acquitted.
If the public was presented with the facts instead of tabloid news coverage they would have not been so surprised at fourteen (14) the not guilty verdicts.
This picture is on pg 10. It's dated November 11 2008. This is what is written:"You make me sooo happy. I can feel your energy through the walls. The sky is the limit. Higher consciousness always. Working hard, as always. Music, film, performance. I love you. Michael Jackson." (Nov. 11 2008)
my question is....does he mean in that order? music- "this is it," film- "TII," performance=comeback? but FILM was thrown in there.
