LOS ANGELES — If Michael Jackson were still alive today, he would have just celebrated his 55th birthday and the world would know the outcome of his comeback efforts. He might be embarking on a new career in filmmaking and probably would be nudging his eldest son in the same direction.

As a trial pursued by the singer's mother against the promoters of Jackson's planned comeback concerts draws to a close, jurors may soon be considering intriguing what-ifs had the King of Pop lived.

Throughout the trial, which has spanned 21 weeks and more than 50 witnesses, the panel of six men and six women has heard evidence about Jackson's ambitions and his undisputed devotion for his three children and mother. If jurors determine that AEG Live LLC is liable for Jackson's death, the group will then have to decide how much to compensate the singer's three children and his mother for the loss of a loving father and an entertainer potentially capable of earning tens of millions of dollars a year.

In order to award Jackson's family any money, the panel would have to determine that AEG Live hired the doctor convicted of administering an overdose of the anesthetic propofol in June 2009. AEG denies it hired former cardiologist Conrad Murray or bears any responsibility for Jackson's death. The company's lawyers point to evidence that Murray treated Jackson for years before preparations for the "This Is It" shows began and testimony that the singer was secretive about his medical care.

Yet whether or not the jury will need to determine compensation for Jackson's family, the trial has revealed new details about the superstar's post-tour plans.

Witnesses have described the entertainer's interest in another career as a filmmaker after wrapping up his "This Is It" shows, which were slated to begin in July 2009. The singer's contract included provisions for a worldwide tour after the singer completed a run of 50 shows planned at London's O2 Arena, but AEG executives say the global shows weren't a certainty.

Experts hired by Jackson's mother have testified Jackson could have earned a billion dollars or more on a worldwide tour, a figure that defense experts have attacked as speculative and far in excess of earnings from the singer's previous tours.

Jackson's success or failure during the "This Is It" shows would have determined his future course. By many witnesses' accounts, including his son Prince and a trusted nephew, Jackson was eyeing a second career as a filmmaker. He considered his long-form music videos such as "Thriller" and "Remember the Time" as films, but was eyeing even bigger projects on Egypt's King Tut and a Chicago gangster film

Prince Jackson, 16, recalled during the trial that his father would often show him films twice – the first time with the sound off so that they could analyze shots together. The teenager still has aspirations in show business and told jurors he is considering film school, a decision his father might have steered him toward if he was alive.

The singer suggested to his nephew Taj that he study filmmaking as well, urging him to focus on 3-D technologies that hadn't yet become mainstream in 2009. "He just loved the technology and he wanted to do something groundbreaking with it," Taj said. He said his uncle talked about working with famous directors and about doing movies based on some of his hits, including "Smooth Criminal."

Jackson's devotion to his three children has been a major focus of the trial. The entertainer closely guarded their privacy and often had them wear masks while in public. Since their father's death, Prince, Paris and Blanket have become household names and their faces are now well-known.

The children now live with Katherine Jackson and are supported by their father's estate, which has successfully erased the singer's sizable debts and have kept interest for his music high. But their father's death has taken away the children's primary caregiver and a father who by all accounts during the trial sought to bring his children happiness and instill in them a sense that they should help others.

The family's attorneys haven't told the jury how much they're asking for the loss of Michael Jackson, yet they could reveal a suggested amount during closing arguments, set to begin Tuesday.

Attorneys and experts hired by AEG Live have presented a different version of Jackson's long-term prospects throughout the trial, showing evidence that the singer was deep in debt and sought out the anesthetic that eventually killed him in the months before his death.

Jackson was on the brink of losing his signature asset, his stake in the Sony-ATV music catalog that includes songs by The Beatles and other top acts, the company's experts told the jury. The singer's medical care has also been thoroughly detailed throughout the trial and it has revealed new information about Jackson's relationship with Murray.

The former cardiologist accompanied Jackson to a 2007 medical appointment in Las Vegas and paid for the cosmetic procedure, a doctor who treated Jackson recalled in testimony. AEG's attorneys have argued that Murray was Jackson's personal doctor and the company was merely advancing the physician's $150,000 a month fee to work on the "This Is It" shows.

It will take at least nine jurors to agree that AEG indeed hired Murray if the panel is to then consider the what-ifs of Michael Jackson's ambitions.

Why the lack of security in your convictions? Michael has undoubtedly escaped from the mortifying scowls of the media with their slanderous malevolence. He  has  just resorted to alternative means to resolve the fallacies that have occurred during his life in the spotlight. Michael has been alive since june 2009, and unless he recently departed since that period, an overwhelming feeling I have inside has allowed me to arrive at the conclusion that any sort of evidence claiming that the man has passed away is merely smoke arising from incalculable speculation. So why the skepticism associated with his (demise) when we all clearly are aware that he is still here waiting to materialize when all who have doubted say otherwise? I have never understood why there is constant questioning about the practicality of this hoax! it just doesn't logically seem to formulate. Just because no celebrity has publicly declared that they have faked their death doesnt mean it is an impossibility or has never occurred. People are so behind the belief that 9/11 was deliberately schemed by the american government for an excuse to head to war, but just because the president said otherwise, doesn't mean it's fact. come on guys, you have to stimulate your intellect! You think michael wants to be found out immediately or wants us to know his exact whereabouts at the moment?

How about we try to establish if he is even dead? Don't ask if he is truly alive, prove to me that he is dead. that is what we need to substantiate. If you can't prove it? well then, he is not dead.

In the end, there is a significant amount of cynicism that is occurring here as opposed to optimism and realism. We have to start becoming realistically optimistic about our engagements and we can't jump to conclusions. Would michael post ubiquitously to garner attention for the thrill of it? Yeah, he could. but I don't think he would draw that much attention upon himself considering he wasn't too fond of that. He could be one of the users in this thread, posting in anonymity just for laughs and giggles!

the point is , never constitute presumptuous speculation as fact when it simply wording with no concrete substance.

Kind of like when an ignorant person believes that michael is a child molester  without doing your research. so the media condemned him because they believe he is a child molester, everyone else is saying that in america so it must be true. NO! DONT TAKE IT AS FACT BECAUSE ITS NOT!

If front is posting cryptically, you can't just believe its michael because michael posts a certain way and therefore it must be him and arrive at that conclusion.

you have to be sure.

Just like when you are attempting to marry your future spouse! If I offer a woman 100 dollars to kiss me and she kisses me, then she must want to marry me because she kissed me and I gave her 100 dollars to do it. you can't draw connections and links if there is no strength in link.

Interesting.

I don't necessarily think it is a practical assessment; to state that the man who is behind the account is the man depicted in the first post. Although it is highly plausible, I can't attest that it is sensible to assert such claims without substantial evidence to support this. I will say however, this does not lend some credibility to front being Michael, either. From what I was able to retrieve from Front's posts, I found it remarkably suspicious that someone of michael's stature was unable to write thoroughly because I noticed by observing Front posts that he was unable to formulate articulate sentences which is highly uncharacteristic of Michael. Michael writes with such fluidity and ease that the complexities and sophistications which accompany him through his music also follow him through his writing. Something as incredibly simplistic as posting on a forum, given that michael has always been regarding himself as a perfectionist, would never allow himself to post inarticulately. When an individual is trying to convey a message, they cannot be taken seriously if the sentiments they use to send a message to the demographic of people they target do not resonate.  Conversely, I feel that it's unconventional for michael to write without concrete structure and appropriation. Therefore, I can't see how this could Michael. Michael always conducts himself in an astute manner.

Oh and by the way,

Michael said See You In July, because This Is It.

This is an emphasizing point of contention!

if michael said it...

I think July is our month. for at least something monumental that will prove his physical existence on this earth and he will materialize.

Well, evidently we have officially reached four years since the death (re-birth) of Michael Jackson. As the climactic events unfolded since that time, How have your thoughts, perceptions on the matter significantly impacted YOUR world since the announcement? For many of us, it came as a complete and utter shock. Now that we have reached the point in time in which we have four years to get this circus correct, as michael loosely put it, do you still believe we are going coming to our conclusion? or something of the sort. This is just a thread essentially expressing our thoughts and opinions regarding michael jackson's alleged death in general, how it has impacted your lives..(if at all) etc. Let us set aside all the investigative clues and take us back to that moment on this day (I think it was announced at 2pm actually) that michael had passed away, as only the media announced it followed by Jermaine.

The difference for me is that (up to now), the public, the "audience" have no way, no possibility of perceiving the Paris story as art, since the majority of the world public isn´t aware of the death hoax.

Oh I gotta grab this and say, except that everyone is privy to the same info as us and we all know that MJ isn't dead. We recognized the clues and did the leg work to follow the rabbitholes and discover the truth that this is a hoax.

Now reports state that Paris said she wants to "join Dad". So if you accept that MJ isn't dead, you can deduce that Paris's "alleged suicide attempt" is not real either. I actually think it's pretty kind of MJ to make it so very clear only 48hrs into this story. He rarely makes it so easy.

So if people aren't yet aware, it's only on them. Not to be callous or anything but the playing field is level. We all had the same opportunity from the beginning. Like any game, your success is based solely on your own merit.

The reason why hoax community is a minority is because:

1) Rippers are dumb.

2) The non-fans are 'too practical' to believe that there's a person out there who's trying to make a difference in this world because everyone is busy trying to save their 'own world'.  They be like 'miracles don't happen'.

ugh!

Misinformed, not dumb. better word to describe it...even ignorant. It's not that they are incapable of understanding. Rather, they refuse to believe that this has happened, and find it so absurdly ludicrous that they fail do their research. There are a lot of intelligent people who still believe he is dead...but because it is such a dismissive ideal...they are ignorant and fail to dig deeper. that in itself I wouldn't just call dumb. Just need to get their facts straight. You can either give credit to michael, making him possibly the greatest entertainer and illusionist the world has ever seen, or admit that the general public is dim-witted. I'll give this one to michael, because by doing so you discredit his ability to create such a spectacle.

as for Marilyn Manson, he is deliberately eccentric. he likes to manipulate the media, when in actuality, after viewing a videos, he is very intelligent and has this articulation about him that undoubtedly surprising. His lyrics aren't demonic or sadistic, just help to convey his emotions. I wouldn't take those lyrics literally, you really have to read between the lines to draw your own interpretations from his music. Being a poet I know how lyricism is essentially created.

Isn't this EXACTLY what happened with michael, and speculation, confusion, chaos upon his supposed death?

lets observe the commonalities for a second...

1. Michael died, was IT real? conflicted feelings, ambiguity, would he really do that to his children etc etc

2. Reports are highly contradictory, confusing. Is it true that paris attempted suicide?

3...remember...michael was said to have had a HEART ATTACK when he supposedly passed away? Cardiac arrest?

aren't all suicides attacking the heart to some degree...you see how this all intertwines?

suicide DOES destroy the heart...physically and mentally/psychologically.

This is basically back to the talk of is michael dead or alive based on a variety of factors. How can we believe it? michael is dead. no he is alive.

I believe this is part of the hoax. and I can wholeheartedly ascertain this.

They are creating a cacophony of our heart strings.

I'm just saying. if you believe this situation is all real, then you might as well believe michael is dead too. because death is such a profoundly delicate subject, and normal person should be shamed for their attempt at even contemplating faking their own death because death is no light issue...

JUST LIKE TEENAGE SUICIDE

But you guys keep contesting that michael isn't your average human being...

and he amplifies the intensity of his productions...

I am in no way advocating for teenage suicide or condoning it in any matter...

but let me ask you this...

if Paris Jackson REALLY wanted to commit suicide...

it was going to happen. it's inevitable. these people are so torn on life that they have given up on HOPE all together.

Paris jackson is as vulnerable during any point in her life. She could have taken it years ago if she had the intent was desperately pleading for help.

so why all of a sudden (and in june!) she would attempt this?

why would she suddenly feel like...Oh....I'm going to do this now? she would have done it last year, the year before, if it really has taken a toll on her. the news woul dhave already covered this years ago  if she had contemplated this.

no disrespect...no insensitivity...as a someone who has experience with thinking about (maybe not incredibly serious as some) suicide as a teenager as a result bullying, I can say this is a valid point.

This is reminiscent in EVERY facet of the "michael jackson death phenomena." . the family has always ascertained that michael would never intentionally harm himself to the point in which he commits suicide. Conrad Murray had supposedly iterated that michael injected himself and committed suicide. so suddenly paris jackson is overcome with a substantial amount of grief that would cause her to attempt suicide in the MONTH that michael allegedly departed from us? Not buying this.  It's trash. absolute garbage and sensationalism. This is part of michael's plan to resurrect himself. I know Paris is a teenager, and I don't want to begin to downplay this by any means, however, what could provoke paris to initiate such an act when I truly believe that she has a lot to look forward to in her life. She has been raised by a remarkable human being and comes from an relentlessly strong family. Her family has such profound convictions and they see life from a very optimistic perspective. What could have prompted any of the jackson, let alone paris, to even entertain the thought of possibly departing from this world?

this is only the beginning of the shocker...

I think this is the indicator that something even more complex is on the horizon.

Mrbigshot , i agree with you it's only the beginning of the shocker, Like yeah Paris Survived a lot of hard times in her life
so why doing this right now ? (Exactly in June) and we know she is a tough kid , Not Easily Broken
and come on TMZ says it started when her request to go to a Marylin Manson concert ? it doesn't really worth it ..
So yes she has “a lot going on [lately.]“ So what ?? She survived tougher times before and we know it , i still don't believe it

I'm sure paris's competency is unquestionably sound. Michael has such a dire appreciation for life, and I'm sure has relayed the message of the beauty life has conceived for human beings. I must admit, I have contemplated suicide at points in my life when I was an adolescent, but I would never resort to such actions because I felt that I would be disappointing myself by eradicating the increasing potential that I was bound to fulfill. It mainly comes down to that. The only certainty we have on earth is the life we are given, so why ultimately cut it short for an afterlife that we are completely uncertain? What if the next life is just as painful...and we are faced to endure the pain and sorrow all over again? Then what? Reincarnation is a bitch (excuse my language.) But that is a whole another avenue of discussion for a different point in time...

Paris has so much to live for...

but only one reason to die.

why would should she trade that for an early demise, knowing that she has so much more left to give to this world?

we are all remarkably beautiful and have something we have to showcase to the world we thrive in.

take a moment to grasp onto the preciousness of life that has the ability to inspire and captivate us all.

Paris jackson, truth or not,  you are a beautiful, compassionate human being who deserves to live her life out to the greatest potential.

too many times we are faced with debilitating issues...that are inhibit our ability to function and succeed.

if this is true,

then she shouldn't let slightly negative portion of life consume her identity and mak that dictate the future of her life.

I'm alive today because I have something to live for, and an endless supply of hope which will help to plant this cultivated heart to bloom into something stronger.
if paris is really having issues, she must grow a garden for herself internally so that she may prosper and grow into the beautiful garden that she will become inside her soul.

This is just another element which plays into the saying "Just because it's in print, doesn't mean it's the gospel." It's a fabricated claim that is gaining notoriety because it's strikes some significant familiarity in relation to MJ. Kid deliberately goes on point to making such gross accusations by the same person who has been taken advantage of for his generosity and kindness. It's gotten to the point in which if I said I had met michael jackson 10 years ago and claimed he molested me at age 11,  if I wrote that and the media blew it up on the internet, obviously people would assume it to be factual, being completely dismissive of the point that I have never met him in the first place...but to the general public, it wouldn't matter. He has been infamously associated with these distasteful accusations, and it's sensationalism. However, michael is AWARE of this. I'm sure there was some premeditated deliberation about how to devise such another plot twist in this hoax, and if this is an authentic claim and this guy who is claiming he was molested by michael really contends this fiction...then he really is incredibly dimwitted, to say the least. He was purging himself, and if you did your homework, investigated, then you would know the truth. If this is a real claim...then why is he still going after the money? because of his unsatisfied greed for the green? I don't know. we'll see.

"For the majority of us, we felt we lost something on June 25th and the pain that it brought was unbearable and absolutely impossible to recover

from."

I find it quite intriguing that you formulated such a presumptuous statement. Death is an inevitability, as i'm certain you are aware of. But by no means have we " the forum hoaxers" have conceded the notion that we could not continue to live after Michael departed from this earth, no pun intended. Most of us clearly understand that michael is a celebrity, and like many of us, we have admired him. This doesn't necessarily mean that we have such obsessive desires over this individual and that we are in such a delusional state of mind that we refuse to see the reality. If michael died on june 25th, life will go on. We all have our own identities to establish, and we all know that our life is not solely dependent on a celebrity such as Michael. We are obsessed over the circumstances revolved around his hoax that he perpetuated himself.   Although it  would be a monumental; a debilitating loss to the music industry and one that profoundly may affect our personal lives in ways we couldn't have imagined, many of us are aware that he is a celebrity and a human being, NOT A GOD.  We know that death is a prominent aspect of life and as a result, we unfortunately must endure the solemnity and sorrow that is accompanied with it.  However, we have a strong inclination as to what has been fabricated and is a work of fiction, and this death has raised significant amount of suspicion which is why we are here in the first place. We are in no way infatuated with him on such a personal level that if he were to dearly pass away, it would destroy our lives. he has inspired many, revolutionized the music industry, but we aren't living our lives to ensure that we are totally attentive to him. We don't remain reclusive and sit in our isolated residencies and say "oh my god! michael passed away! how am I going to feed my children now? How will I ever get a promotion from my profession? How will I get an A in my class. how will i even brush my teeth? sit  Hell, most of us don't even know him....or even met him. You made it seem like we view him as such a divine entity...and regardless of how he saw himself, it is imperative that understand that he is a human being and we wouldn't be on this forum if we hadn't already recognized that. I admire that you are very adamant about your articulations, but using pretentious writing to substantiate your post and to pompously assume that many of our members on this board have no idea what the person and name michael jackson mean to us, is incredibly ignorant and  condescending. Therefore, I find it incredibly futile to write such a post.

I'm quite elated to see this type of information surface, but come on, it seems that many of you are astonished by that last sentence! it is quite remarkable, but I expected michael for quite sometime now, and this supposed "sensationalistic" assertion that michael has not yet departed from this realm of existence shouldn't come as a surprise. Putnam hinting that michael is still alive, and saying so without the greatest degree of subtlety incorporated. Yes, it's informative....and remarkably surprising that a sentiment that profound would be left in an article...but lets be honest here...

it was going to be in an article sooner or later.

Nobody remembers when I posted a TMZ article (that was shortly retracted after erroneously written, which some of you contested the authenticity and questioned whether or not that was a real article) and murray stated that "michael might as well be alive."

Nothing comes as a surprise!

I'm happy this information was finally printed. (and the article wasn't retracted)
