its true people go around saying its all for love and then spilling hate in the next breath,with evan chandler so many people were dancing on his grave.what he did was so very wrong but he was a human why rejoice death,he tried to destroy mj but he did not.and as for all the abuse the family take that is so wrong we all have families ,we should all look at our own first before we judge others,my family we argue and fight but the bottom line is even though sometimes i do not like them they are my family and i will always love them,i think for me this journey has opened my eyes to so many things i have really learnt a lot,but most of all i have learnt i do have a voice and if i do not like something it is up to me to change it not sit back and hope someone else will it for me like the song goes, sweep around your own front door before you try to sweep around mine....amen!

You know, with this sentence, the person who wrote this hit the nail on the head! This is exactly what I've been seeing in all forums and I can't stand the hypocrisy! :evil: :roll:
When I see fans with all their beautiful "It's all for L.O.V.E." messages laughing at Chandler's death or saying the most hateful things towards the Jackson family, it makes me wanna SCREAM! (No pun intended.) Really, how would YOU feel if some total stranger said all these awful things about your family? I believe Michael would be very disappointed by this. He loves his family and he has forgiven Joe and LaToya for the things they've done to him... I understand that some people may not respect, for instance, some of the things Joe has done to his children (i.e. the beatings), but that doesn't give them the right to say all that crap about him, because they weren't there, and they don't know him. If you're gonna start posting hateful sh*t here, at least don't start preaching the "It's all for LOVE" thing. Makes you look like a total hypocrite. :?

I do want to say that I like this thread and I do agree with most of what everyone said but I just wanted to point some things out.
- I am not sure how the neighborhood in Gary, Indiana is. It is probably not the safest neighborhood. However, and I am not trying to offend anyone, that does not mean that it is a really bad neighborhood 24/7. I am very touchy on this subject because I grew up in a neighborhood that a lot of people would consider "unsafe" where in fact, it's not that bad at all. However, if someone were to drive by it at night, he or she may be scared, depending on who's out and what's going on and what prejudgments a person may have coming into the neighborhood. And it shows you how much the media can affect the way we perceive certain neighborhoods and certain groups of people. (I am not saying that this is what bec is doing at all but I want to make this point in general.) Typically, the news plays this up really well. They'll go on and on about all this crime happening in typically a low income neighborhood where the majority is usually Black but never report on the illegal activities that happen in the suburbs so there comes a mindset that the "ghetto"=to crime and mayhem and the suburbs=to safety and no crime when in reality, it's not that true. It's just that the crimes that happen in the suburbs do not get nearly as much airplay as the ones in the low income neighborhoods because they want to project a certain image of "minorities", especially Black people in America. And it almost becomes a perpetual cycle because some people in these low income neighborhoods begin to believe the image that is being projected and begin to feel powerless and hopeless when in fact, we are all VERY POWERFUL. We can all have the magnitude of greatness as MJ, even greater if we truly believe in our own power, which leads me to my next point.
- Michael is an extremely gifted artist. He was born with the musical gift that many would die to have. And those gifts came from God. However, I don't think it's fair to ourselves to say that he is a gift from God because he lived such a public life. We are all gifts from God. And we all have innate gifts that we were born to have and we all grow up in families that could possibly help bring out those gifts if we choose to. It's just that some of our gifts are not meant to be as public and that's okay. We are all special and vital to this society that we live in. I think the problem, in general, is that we limit ourselves by putting someone else on a pedestal. And I remember a posting that "BACK" (who some people perceive to be MJ or someone in the know) had in regards to if there were any famous people on the board (MJJC) and he said "Everyone here is famous because they are all well known to somebody." Oh and I just saw the video clip. I love it. I wish I could see the whole speech. Maybe someone else will have it hopefully. OMG! I wanted to grab a collection plate on this, I agree with you about the neighborhoods, the media portrays all the bad stuff when it comes to us, I live in a town that is predominantly black and when you hear something criminal it's like big news here, caue mostly nothing ever happens here and it's a poor town, I live in what they call the projects and it be soo quiet most days I wanna scream, mostly all you hear are kids, I know a lady who stays in Detroit and she says it's not bad as people think it is, I have a friend in Gary Indiana, and she says she's bored all the time, yes there are some bad places, but that doesn't mean it's just from Black people either! But that's what the media wants people to think!

It's funny you are talking about this because I have always believed that Michael's childhood was pre-ordained. This is an excerpt from a letter I sent to Mrs. Jackson on Michael's birthday.

..."Thinking about Michael’s childhood, I am reminded that he came from a family of nine children of which he was number seven. Nine children were raised in a two-bedroom house. But under that roof were children who possessed talents. There were children in that house who were obedient. There were children in that house who had spiritual guidance. How rare is one who’s gifts afford him the opportunity to speak it and it be done? That’s God’s work? How gifted! How marvelous! Michael’s path in life was pre-destined long before he was born. He was chosen. Nothing of that magnitude happens by chance. He was destined to do great things. He was in his element when he was being creative. He found solace in giving of himself all that he had gained from that creativity..." Beautifully well said, we all have a purpose, and I always knew Michael was chosen he has multiples on top of multiples of gifts, that God gave Him, but I feel that there is still more for him to do, and if he's not with us anymore, what he left behind will continue you on for years to come, there will never be another MJ, but there will be somebody else that God is gonna raise up! There will be many!
