Other Odd Things / Re: Lapd petition

Yea, right...like 50,000 names on a petition is gonna make the investigation go faster!! I laugh!

I seriously do not understand how these people can still think MJ is dead. With all the weird stuff thats happened....they still see nothing strange about all this....

And they call US names?
Ditto to the tenth degree, JACKSONOLOGIST.

I'm friends with the This Is NOT It peeps on Facebook just because and they've sent me several invitations to check out that petition. I haven't even looked at it because they're TOTALLY missing the big picture. They should be ashamed of themselves for not being able to think outside the box and on their own after spending THAT much time stalking, I mean *following* a man as unique as Michael.

I'm thoroughly surprised a major, respected publication like The Chicago Tribune is doing a poll like this.

I just voted and the YES percentage is now at a whopping 59% and growing. I wonder if it's just a horde of believers voting or if word really is getting around about how odd this situation is. I hope it's the second.

TMZ Articles / Re: I Was Married to Michael Jackson
« on: January 06, 2010, 01:47:47 PM »
I'm surprised she's not claiming she has a child with Michael, or that she's one of his other kids' momma. At least she has enough sense to realize how easy it would be to disprove that.

But honestly -- married to Michael yet unable to remember exactly when? Puh-leeze! I don't think so, unless you got knocked upside the head and have complete amnesia, in which case you wouldn't remember Michael either.

Good luck gettin' that money, Shellie!

I believe God gave MJ vitiligo to blur the divide between black and white.. MJ literally became raceless.  I believe that was Gods work even though it caused MJ a lot of pain...  it was part of the plan.  It was his destiny.
So you think God stripped him of his identity AND caused him pain?????? plan for what?
misha86, I don't think that comment was meant in the negative way it comes across to some people. I would cut DancingTheDream some slack in this case and let it go. But the choice is yours, of course.

Thanks, neverlandprincess, kingofmystery, Mercurial, and everyone else who has commented on or read this very important (at least to me) thread.

I avoid these kinds of discussions most of the time because race is still such a sensitive, touchy issue for so many individuals. I wish it weren't that way, but we can thank people like Michael for helping a great deal to bring others closer together.

As always, I just wish Michael had more people like us around him to make his life easier to deal with during his more difficult times. I really hope he or even his family members read threads like this on various websites so they know we understand, and at least there's still a chance we can be there for him in the future.

Michael Jackson News / Re: Pictures at Forrest Lawn Christmas

Wow. They sure do ALL look extremely happy and upbeat. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Maybe they were just excited the visit happened after a lot of planning or difficulty receiving permission to get that close to Michael's alleged location.

The photos didn't move me, though. It's possible I wouldn't cry if I visited Forest Lawn, but I would definitely be at least appropriately sad, whether Michael's there or not.

Michael Jackson News / Re: Is It Because He's BLACK?

I remember reading that article a while back, so thanks for the link to refresh my memory, hesouttamylife. The article is so spot-on on so many points. Still, I'm going to be prudent and not get into a prolonged discussion about this sensitive issue because I know from personal experience how quickly the topic can veer off track in ugly ways when you're among virtual strangers.

It's easy to understand why some people perceive Michael as color-blind and a uniter of races due to his vitiligo and loving mindset. However, Michael has never been race-less. He has always been black, as well as very proud of his heritage and openly vocal about his identity as a black man.

He also DOES see color and always has. But like many people of color in high places and places where they traditionally aren't found, he knows when color is relevant and when it isn't. He's not stupid or blind in the least, but if he didn't realize that being black matters a great deal when it come to a person of his stature, he would be stupid and blind. The world has come a long way since the days of slavery, but there's still a long way to go. Michael knows that, too.

So, yes, the unfairness and torture Michael has endured at the hands of the media, various business associates, and assorted haters has a whole lot to do with him being black, more than some people will ever realize or accept, although that article does a great job making some very valid points about the issue.

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!!!  If he falls behind in his child support then the DA will go after his medical liscense... this is crazy! What about the homicide???
I agree what about the homicide charges
Folks are getting upset, but this development is encouraging news to me because it gives more support to what I've always believed.

Perhaps nobody's talking about going after Murray's medical license for Michael's alleged homicide because he's not really the primary or only focus of that investigation. In fact, maybe he's not even who law enforcement are investigating at all.

We'll find out soon enough if the case ever heads to court. But considering Murray's expression in that photo, it seems possible he might not last that long himself. He looks like his life sucks big time right about now, although I can't say I feel bad for him, whatever his involvement with Michael.

There's something wrong, wrong, wrong about fathering all of those children he can't provide for with all of those different women, some (or maybe all) while he was married. It's no wonder he seems like an incompetent doctor -- when did he have the time to actually practice medicine when he was spending that much time sleeping around?

Michael Jackson News / Re: Do you think Larry King knows about the hoax?

its pretty weird that MJ gets his own category
Yep, I HAVE noticed that, MJFAN7. I visit the blog several times a day just to see what's cooking, and the fact that the Michael Jackson category has the second highest number of posts, only lower than the Larry King Live category, always makes me say "Hmmm..." again.

So many people gave Larry so much hell months ago when it became clear he had no intention of stopping his Michael coverage. I had no idea that he even WAS devoting so much air time to the topic until I came across several articles that really mocked him and questioned his competence because of the issue, especially considering his previous, fairly frequent on-air blunders.

In any case, he might not talk about Michael all that much on his show anymore, but the blog is truly keeping Michael in the minds of readers. Whether Larry is in on a "hoax" or not -- and I still haven't decided what I believe regarding that -- I give him big props for basically telling his own haters to kiss his a$$. He'll cover whatever he wants on his blog and his show, and I'm glad he feels Michael still merits the attention.

Reading all of the comments on those Michael posts is a whole 'nother thing, though. Don't get me and my migraines started...

Do you think larry king is in on it?
I'm 100% convinced that Michael is still alive, so this is one of the very few things I actually wonder about a lot when it comes to June 25.

I still haven't decided if I believe Larry King is or isn't in on a "hoax," but it's pretty odd that, more than six months later, his blog STILL features one or more new posts about Michael almost every single day.

He's the only media personality that continues to focus on Michael that much. I know part of the reason is those posts attract a huge number of comments, but the continued regular coverage is definitely something that makes me go, "Hmmm..." I'd *LOVE* to be a fly on the wall in his office or house.

I think the vitiligo is a result of the drugs they gave him, but I am sure he didn't "brush it off". He is a black man and they made him a white man, even a white female. ...but your whole identity would be gone. Who are you? Who do you relate to? You would look different from your family, your siblings. Imagine that, that is not something you can 'brush off', that is something you would struggle with for the rest of your life.
I promised myself I would stay out of this discussion because the Illuminati/Mind Control stuff has nothing relevant to do with Michael, in my opinion.

However, since I AM black and know a thing or two about medical issues, let me just say that, first of all, nobody *gave* Michael vitiligo or caused him to have it. That suggestion is just pure science fiction and shows an enormous lack of medical knowledge.

Likewise, nobody made Michael a "white man." That suggestion is just fiction period and shows an enormous lack of medical knowledge, as well as a disturbing lack of knowledge of issues related to cultural and racial identity.

Third of all, having vitiligo did ***NOT*** make Michael's identity as a black man disappear or go away. Of course, he looked different and had to deal with that. But he ***NEVER EVER*** stopped being black, in his mind AND in reality. So what if he didn't look the same or like his family? He's not the only black person that has skin that light, with or without vitiligo.

LOTS of black people don't have the same skin tone as other members of their family. LOTS of people don't look like their relatives, no matter what color they are. Yet, somehow they still manage to carry on and get along just fine, especially when they come from a strong family, as Michael does.

Fourth of all, the "white female" comment is just ridiculous. I thought most members of this forum recognized that erroneous caricature for what it is, meaning nonsense, but now one of the owners is perpetrating it. Geesh! Michael struggled with many things his entire life, including the repercussions of uninformed comments like that.

People have the right to think whatever they want, but I felt it was necessary to add some opposing viewpoints here lest future readers of this thread believe that every member of this forum agrees or thinks its acceptable to characterize Michael this way. I do not.

I just could not believe this really happened, and as I said ,if it did happen, why would KF repeat it?
Because she's a chronic, incurable "fibber" (to put it nicely) and attention seeker just dying to build up her own fan base from among Michael's more naive fans, many of whom hang on her every word and believe everything she says without hesitation or questioning.

Following Karen on Facebook and Twitter has been a really enlightening experience, and I've learned quite a bit about how she and her sickeningly lovestruck admirers tick as a result. I don't think Karen knows Michael as well as she wishes she did, and I think she realizes that she doesn't know him that well. However, since her own "fans" never seem to doubt what she tells them, she can tell them pretty much whatever she wants and remain confident that they'll just suck it in like brain-dead twits.

So much of the stuff that Karen posts online is all about trying to keep up appearances that she was one of Michael's best-est friends ever. But in the process of trying to act like a "Michael-know-it-all," she sometimes makes mistakes that people who really know Michael well would never make.

For instance, does anyone remember Karen's outrageous claim that Michael doesn't know jack about computers? That's what this Naomi story smells like to me, too -- Karen making a boo-boo that's obvious to observant people while trying to pretend she has insider knowledge about something related to Michael.

I find the woman very entertaining, to say the least.

It's great to see the family still riding hard on Michael's coattails, while name-dropping Harvard, too.

The grammar in that message is atrocious, as well. I guess whoever wrote it never learned how to use punctuation properly, which makes it difficult for me to take the content seriously. Appearances and everything...
