Prince, Paris & Blanket / Re: Video of Blanket

Quote from: "Kuki72"
Was just wondering if anyone had ever come across any videos of Blanket playing, talking or singing? There seems to be very little videos of him unlike Prince and Paris where we see lots of them.... Anybody shed some light for me? Any links etc would be good thanks.
No disrespect to you, Kuki72, but I think it's good there aren't more videos of Blanket, if that is in fact true. Michael's children are just that -- children -- and they deserve to lead as normal lives as possible, especially following the events of June 25.

Even if had links, I wouldn't promote or share them because I'm rubbed the wrong way by the unnecessary, intrusive attention people are lavishing on Prince, Paris, and Blanket. It must be so weird for them to have so many complete strangers so interested in their personal business, all just because of who their father happens to be.

Other Odd Things / Re: Bonnie Vent has "contact" with MJ!
« on: January 10, 2010, 07:02:23 PM »
I went against my skeptic instincts and checked out Bonnie's latest video claiming to have a message for fans directly from Michael. Sorry Bonnie, but I'm not feeling your act, whether Michael has passed away or not.

I'm with xirisjex. She comes across as taking subtle advantage of mourning Michael fans and trying to maintain their interest by using reverse psychology, namely saying one thing about her goals (I don't want people to give me money for readings; I just want to help and serve as an intermediary for Michael, who has made me his special chosen one from the great beyond) to get people to believe her when the exact opposite is actually true.

To me, she obviously craves attention and wants to establish herself as someone important with regards to Michael. The money and other professional opportunities will flow from that special status later (if enough people buy into it, that is) in the form of media engagements and other promotional opportunities.

In my opinion, Bonnie is just being patient and trying to accomplish her goals the underhanded way. I think she's no better than the other false psychics or channelers or whatever she calls herself.

Michael Jackson News / Re: Boycott ... Do not buy the book Rabbi.

It's not fair that Rabbi earn money telling lies to their erroneous interpretations. :x
Absolutely, Fê. I also refuse to buy the book, although I learned about and downloaded the "Boteach-free" version when Michael's trusted longtime guitarist Jennifer Batten tweeted the link and her recommendation.

I'm so glad Boteach's five minutes are over now -- may it stay that way. He made me want to vomit every time I saw him promoting himself and his crap at the expense of Michael.

Other Odd Things / Re: Weird Answer of Jackson 5 recieved on Mail.
« on: January 10, 2010, 06:28:29 PM »
There's nothing weird at all about that response, in my opinion. When Randy was an official part of the group, it was called simply The Jacksons. Motown held the trademark for the name The Jackson 5/Five, and the group was forced to change it when they left the record company way back whenever.

The brothers are also smart enough to understand that Michael is and will always be the most famous member of the Jackson 5. So, they're acknowledging that fact and their everlasting love for him at the same time with the expression "and of course our beloved brother, Michael Jackson." Makes total sense to me.

Omer Bhatti / Re: Omar

Who is he and why is he always there??
Omer is like an adopted Jackson family member, although he's not Michael's biological son. There are several similar people in my own family, and they became like genuine members of the family because of their history with us and their loyalty to us. Omer has been around Michael since his own childhood and since Michael's children were young, which has made Omer's relationship with Michael and his children even closer and stronger.

Note that Omer has never once said anything disrespectful or improper about his substantial time spent with Michael, either before or after June 25. His parents have also allowed him to remain close to Michael, in spite of the constant hating and the bogus child-molestation crap, which they clearly recognize for what it is: bullsh!t. So, in effect, Omer is one of the too few people who stood by Michael during his darkest experiences.

As a result of that history, the Jacksons trust him and appreciate his father-son-type relationship with Michael, which I think is fabulous. It says a great deal about how strong and supportive they are of one another, despite the frequent bashing they receive from complete strangers who know almost nothing about them.

What we hear, read, and see via the media is just the tip of the iceberg, and I wish more people -- especially those who consider themselves "true" fans of Michael -- would recognize how little that stuff has to do with what goes on behind closed doors. The Jacksons are tight, if you know what I mean, and protect their own, and Omer is definitely a full-fledged member of their family unit. He's a lucky guy.

Lisa Marie Presley / Re: Nicholas Cage Blamed MJ for his Divorce from LMP

...she was asked soo many times about their sex life and she just always acknowledged that there was one...the most descriptive she ever got was with Howard Stern...
I'm not so sure about that. Although I haven't read J. Randy Taraborrelli's entire book The Magic, The Madness, The Whole Story, I came across an authorized excerpt online shortly after June 25 where Lisa Marie allegedly did acknowledge more than just the fact that she and Michael had a sex life.

She included details about the experience, if you believe Taraborrelli. Although they weren't sexual or pornographic in nature, I found them even more disrespectful of Michael's privacy than if they had been explicit. It was personal stuff that Lisa Marie's acquaintances and the general public just don't need to know.

However, I agree with you that it's unlikely Lisa Marie publicly said that about Michael and Cage and kids and whatnot.

I don't live in the U.K., but It sure does seem that way from across the pond, peggysu2.

The title of this thread pulled me in, but my curiosity evaporated as soon as I saw "newsoftheworld" in the link. I haven't even bothered to click over because I know in advance it would be a waste of time.

They should rename their outfit Fake News of the World.

Oh please!  I am so tired of all these fakers.  I don't know what is worse - fakers or haters??  I've had enough of both this weekend.
Completely agree, rowdyangel. Enough is enough.

The fakers are the worse in my opinion, though. At least with the haters you know what their agenda is. Plus, you don't find tons of desperate/gullible/hopeful/misled people hanging on their every cryptic word or tweet or video or status update or whatever.

TMZ Articles / Re: "Murray" lawyers up

I have had this thought about Murray floating around in my head for a long time.. What if Murray really did intend to kill Michael.. he was hired by Sony/AEG ... but Michael survived..but Murray doesn't know he did... and the investigation really is about Murray and whoever is behind Murray? It would explain why the DEA became involved..
Very valid observation, Chance, and it would explain a lot more than just the DEA's involvement, such as why Murray STILL hasn't been arrested or even charged yet. Law enforcement could be dotting all of their Is and crossing all of their Ts before letting "all hell break loose," as Liza Minnelli loves to say.

Thanks for sharing. Now you've got my brain doing a little extra thinking, too.

I've intentionally refrained from commening in the forum today due to all of the agitation over the recent news about Murray's alleged upcoming charges. Lots of people are understandably upset and/or confused, but I'm taking a "Yeah, right -- I'll wait and see and believe it when I see it" approach to all of this.

Why? Because today's events are just more of the same contradictory and inconsistent stuff we've been seeing since June 25. It looks like it will NEVER end, and I'm personally beyond bored with it.

However, your post has motivated me to chime in for the first time today, rosemariaantigone. I especially love the following part:
Quote from: "rosemariaantigone"
Well, as you know, news have been released that Conrad Murray will face charges. And I know some of you are a bit scared. I am not. If Conrad Murray had been arrested MONTHS ago, that would be it for me. I would believe that Michael was dead. However, the reason why this does not scare me is because they should have done this months ago. What is the point of having a "through" investigation, when the murderer all but CONFESS to killing Michael Jackson? And not trying to play the race card, but as a black person, I have had MANY people in my family and friends being charged for crimes they did not even do. A realtive of my friend is in PRISON right now for something he did not do. And there was a pretty good amount of evidence to prove that he is innocent. So for me, it is really odd that a black man in this country could CONFESS to murder and not only be arrested for MONTHS, but is even allowed to PRACTISE MEDICINE! It just took too long.
*Excellent* observations, and I agree. I just wanted to add one thing, though. I'm black also, and like you, I find it extremely suspicious that a black man like Murray has been allowed to carry on as usual while he's supposedly the primary and only suspect in the death of one of the most famous men alive.

Yet, I believe there's another reason that may partially explain why law enforcement hasn't moved more quickly to arrest Murray, namely the fact that Michael is black too. It's that old black-on-black versus black-on-white crime reality: sadly, it just seems like authorities care more about the second one in general.

Michael Jackson News / Re: wtf...Memorial Service nominated for an award!

I actually find it a stranger thing that 'This is it' is nominated in Outstanding Motion Picture instead of Outstanding Documentary (Theatrical or Television)
I'm glad the NAACP and the Image Awards are honoring Michael in this way, along with This Is It. However, it's not really that odd the film isn't in the documentary category.

Switching categories like that happens sometimes when a documentary is very popular or successful. The general public tends to pay less attention to documentaries because regular movies are more mainstream and accessible to most people.

So, categorizing This Is It as a movie will help it get more appropriate attention, so to speak, since it was marketed and perceived more as a traditional movie than a traditional documentary. Putting it in the movie category will also allow the other documentaries to stand out more and not get overshadowed by a more well-known and mainstream feature like This Is It.

i don't understand whY?
I've been covering the television and entertainment industries professionally for years.

The NAACP is just trying to acknowledge Michael as much as possible by including the televised Memorial Service wherever they can. That's how it works with awards programs: if there's something you really want to nominate and there's no proper category for it, you force it wherever it will fit the best if you can get away with it. Sometimes new award categories are created later to prevent the same problem in the future.

Also, technically speaking in a TV-industry sense, Michael's Memorial Service was an actual and very complex television production, complete with many of the same staff positions and  production requirements you find in televised variety shows and specials.

The Funeral, The Body & Forest Lawn / Re: Forrest Lawn Reply Email

If that's really the address, I think you e-mailed the right place.
Let me explain a little more clearly.

The person who replied said "Mr. Michael Jackson is not interred at Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks in California." Since Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks is the name of the ENTIRE business, meaning every location everywhere combined, the person actually stated that Michael isn't buried at ANY Forest Lawn location in California.

In other words, he's not at ANY of the nine locations, including Glendale, according to her. The woman who responded just happens to be based in the Glendale location (hence the Glendale contact information after her name), but she's referring to ALL NINE locations in California. It doesn't matter where she herself is located because she's giving you information about the entire business.

That email response is extremely weird, MJFAN7. Where in the world is Michael then, besides not dead?

Quote from: "Happy Feet"
Aren't there 2 F/L in California?
There are nine Forest Lawn locations in California, six of which currently allow burials. Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks & Mortuaries is the official name of the business as a whole.

I'm not doubting - I still believe.  This whole thing about his 'tomb' and 'crypt' does nothing to convince me that Michael is dead.  It's going to take a damned site more than that to make me feel any different.
What rowdyangel said. Couldn't agree more if I tried.

Every time I read an anxious or scared forum post expressing worry that Michael might be "really dead," I come away feeling as confident as ever that he's not. You've got to keep your eyes on the BIG picture, meaning the ridiculous total number of inconsistencies and contradictions, ESPECIALLY when you encounter just one itty bitty piece of information that might indicate Michael passed away. The scales are still overwhelmingly tipped in favor of him NOT being dead, epitaph or not.
