« on: December 10, 2009, 09:02:33 PM »
FYI: Today (December 10), the Recording Academy, which presents the annual music-industry Grammy Awards, announced that Michael will be among the recipients of a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Grammys airing on Sunday, January 31, at 8pm ET on CBS in the United States.

The formal name of the honor is the Special Merit Award:

The Recording Academy announced its 2010 Special Merit Awards recipients today. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Leonard Cohen, Bobby Darin, David "Honeyboy" Edwards, Michael Jackson, Loretta Lynn, André Previn, and Clark Terry...

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors lifelong artistic contributions to the recording medium...
News like this can make some believers feel sad, but Michael definitely deserves the acknowledgment, no matter what the actual circumstances of June 25 are. So, a big congratulations to him!

I've been waiting for this a very long time, so I'm thrilled. Finally someone who knows the truth will talk about it to the general public, free of bias, ignorance, and the usual nonsense the media applies to Michael.

According to excellent English music writer Charles Thomson, one of the few writers who consistently writes about Michael with respect and extensive factual knowledge, author Aphrodite Jones has a documentary in the works about Michael's crapola 2005 child-molestation trial.

For those who don't know, Jones was the only reporter willing to write the truth after the trial about how the media intentionally set out to condemn Michael in the court of public opinion, despite overwhelming evidence that he was completely innocent of ALL the bogus accusations. Also read Charles' blog post You are not allowed to view links. I hope as many people as possible get to watch this very important television event.

Apologies if this has been posted already. I couldn't find anything about it.
