Jermaine Jackson / Jermaine Slams Back Against TMZ
« on: December 05, 2010, 01:55:44 PM »
Jermaine Jackson Entertainment released the following statement today:
Jermaine Jackson slammed back from Europe at TMZ’s web article’s characterization of him as a deadbeat dad today and stated:  "TMZ never gets it right, the media always pulls this kind of stuff when I’m away, and I take care of my kids and my family.”  Jackson’s family law attorney, Jeff Sherter, Esq., stated in response to the TMZ article: “Jermaine does have his drivers license, he is a committed and devoted father, pays for his children's expensive private school and food, his ex-wife is moving from the Mansion to be put up in an upscale condo and not to the streets, and the TMZ article is a selective report of pleadings that misrepresent the proceedings, facts and final outcomes of the case and should not be considered or evaluated in the context of isolated court papers reflecting only one snapshot of a one-sided and inaccurate portrayal that is part and parcel of nastiness that may overcome any litigation.” Jackson’s Entertainment Attorney Bret D. Lewis, Esq. stated that Mr. Jackson is considering legal action for defamation against TMZ.

Michael Jackson’s former bodyguard nearly died of an overdose after taking the same prescription pills the singer used before his death, it emerged today.

Michael Jackson's former bodyguard took overdose on same pills the singer used

Martial arts expert Matt Fiddes, 31, became close friends with Jacko when he ran his security operation during his British tours.

But he has spiralled into depression over recent claims he fathered the star’s youngest son Blanket after donating his sperm in 2001.

The stress of the situation – and a messy divorce battle – caused him to down five powerful painkillers he claims he was given by one of Jackson’s doctors.

But he fell unconscious and was rushed to hospital by ambulance amid fears he may have suffered a potentially-fatal drugs overdose.

He spent nine hours under observation and was told by medics that the painkillers – which are banned in Britain – could gave killed him.

Matt, who is now recovering at home in Barnstaple, north Devon, said: ”Luckily the doctors were able to save me.

”They told me if I had taken two more of the tablets I would have been gone.

”It is a very powerful painkiller and was one found in Michael’s body. Like me, he didn’t know the strength of the drugs he was given.

”The last thing the doctor told me was that if I carried on like that I was I would end up like my old boss Michael Jackson.

”It is hard to grieve for Michael. To most people he was a superstar, but to me he was a buddy. Also the Blanket situation is ongoing. I’ve got problems coming from everywhere.”

Matt was prescribed the painkillers after tearing a muscle in his arm protecting Jacko from a mob of fans during a shopping trip with Uri Geller in London in 2002.

He didn’t take the Soma tablets – which are used as a muscle relaxant and painkiller – and stored them in his bathroom cabinet.

But over recent months, Matt has spiralled into depression since discovering in September that he may be the father of Jackson’s eight-year-old son Prince Michael II – known as Blanket – after donating sperm to the star in 2001.

He previously claimed the star offered him £500,000 for the sperm but he turned the money down and donated it for free.

The following year Blanket was born and Matt says he was told the baby was his by Mark Lester – another Jackson sperm donor thought to be the father of his daughter Paris.

Matt says the revelation has taken its toll on him and he has become increasingly depressed in recent months.

He added: ”It’s been a constant source of stress for me ever since I found out I was Blanket’s father.

”I go to bed every night thinking that I have another son that I can’t see.”

Matt has also struggled to deal with a bitter divorce from wife Marcia and the news that his mum Marjella (corr) Norris, 55, was last year diagnosed with terminal breast cancer.

He took five of the 350mg Soma tablets – a muscle relaxant – last Saturday (27/11) evening and instantly started to feel nauseous.

Within minutes he was struck down with stroke-like symptoms when he lost the feeling in part of his face and became drowsy.

Matt called NHS Direct and the operators were so concerned they dispatched an ambulance to take him to North Devon District Hospital at 1am.

The former bodyguard was put on a heart monitor as doctors used a saline solution to flush the drugs from his system, before carrying out a series of tests and releasing him at 9am on Sunday.

A close friend of Matt’s, who did not want to be named, said he had taken the drugs after failing to come to terms with Jacko’s death and being unable to visit Blanket.

He said: ”We all think Matt does need a wake up call. We do not want him to end up like Michael Jackson.

”The pain of losing Michael and the Blanket story leak put him in a bad way.

”He could not sleep due to the stress of his life and being so alone in his mansion day and night.”

Matt claimed in September that he donated sperm to the late pop star in 2001 after Jackson told him he wanted an ‘athletic’ child.

A MICHAEL JACKSON mimic said yesterday he fears songs he recorded are being passed off as the superstar's voice on a new blockbuster album.

Ricky Galliano, 27, claimed he was paid in wads of cash to copy the tragic singer's style on 21 tracks in secret sessions at a Swiss studio.

Jackson family members said they also believe a fake voice was used for the Christmas release called Michael.

Music giants Sony dismissed the claims as "far fetched" and said they went to "extraordinary lengths" to ensure the vocals are genuine.

But the King of Pop's youngest brother Randy, 48, tweeted: "I heard the music and immediately said it wasn't his voice. Some of the songs are him and some aren't. I would bet my life on that."

Impersonator Galliano - who met Jacko several times before his death aged 50 in June 2009 - said a go-between who he thinks was from Bahrain summoned him to studios in Lausanne in October.

He said the man - who was flanked by bodyguards and lawyers - paid him 2000 euros up front for each song recorded.

Italian-born Galliano said: "They were most insistent that I make my voice sound as much like Michael's as possible - to mimic him exactly."

Studio owner Mohammed Ben Salah said he was told the songs were for a Jackson tribute disc.

A Sony spokesman said six of Jacko's former producers and engineers heard the album tracks and confirmed it was "definitely" his voice.

Michael Jackson kids in sperm donor custody fight

By STUART PINK, Showbiz Reporter

AN ex-bodyguard who claims he may be the dad of Michael Jackson's youngest son is to have a paternity test.

Martial arts expert Matt Fiddes, 31, revealed he was planning to take a DNA test in Los Angeles in two months.

And he will try to get access to eight-year-old Prince Michael II - known as Blanket - if the outcome goes in his favour.

He also may seek custody when Jacko's mum Katherine, 80, can no longer look after the boy.

Devon-based Fiddes maintains he donated sperm to Jackson nine years ago after the singer offered to pay for a specialist to help him have "athletic" children. Last night Fiddes told The Sun that British actor MARK LESTER was ALSO planning to take a DNA test.

He said Lester - who claims to have donated sperm to Jackson in the 1990s - wanted to prove he is the father of the star's daughter Paris, 12.

The two men were said to have been "persuaded" by seeing the children on the OPRAH WINFREY Show.

Fiddes said: "We are going to have DNA tests. It breaks our heart watching the kids on TV." The two used to see Jackson's children regularly but claim to have been cut off since his death by Katherine.

Lester, 52, is godfather to Paris and Blanket and Jackson's eldest child, 13-year-old Prince Michael I. Jacko died last year age 50.

Michael Jackson’s ‘artistic differences’ while recording at Studio at the Palms

Kenny Ortega and Michael Jackson with the 12 dancers selected for Michael’s upcoming This Is It concert run at London’s O2 Arena. The dancers were chosen from 5,000 applicants.

It’s all fun and games -- until Michael Jackson starts covering nude portraits in the suite you arranged for him in the Las Vegas resort that you actually own.

This is what George Maloof learned in November 2007. This was the period during which Jackson was living in Las Vegas while working on a new CD featuring a few songs for which he collaborated with some of his favorite vocalists.

That CD, titled simply “Michael,” is to be released Dec. 14. The album’s first single, “Hold My Hand,” a duet with Jackson and Akon, is set for release Monday. That song was recorded at the Studio at the Palms. Reportedly, “Hold My Hand” was chosen because a person representing Jackson’s estate found a note written by Jackson after his death indicating that he wanted that song to be released first. The song will debut at 12:01 a.m. and is then available for download.

Jackson had wanted to record at The Studio at the Palms, a favored studio among many contemporary artists when visiting Las Vegas. Those who ran the studio were, predictably, thrilled.

“We are so proud to have been a part of ‘Hold My Hand’ with Michael and Akon,” Zoe Thrall, director of Studio at the Palms, said Friday via e-mail. “When Michael was here, all of us at the studio knew we were part of something beyond cool.”

As he recorded, Jackson also sought to stay at the hotel with his young children, Prince, Paris and Prince Michael II (aka Blanket).

Naturally, Jackson wanted complete privacy for his family. His known residence was a rented 10-acre mansion on Monte Cristo Way in northwest Las Vegas (at the time, Jackson also was considering a “Neverland”-style development in Henderson).

The finest, and most secure, accommodations Maloof could offer on his property were the Hugh Hefner Suite in the Fantasy Tower. The villa was beautiful, spacious and safe. No one would think Jackson and his kids would be hanging out up there.

But there was one problem. Call it “artistic differences.”

“I came in there one day, and Michael had covered up all the nude pictures,” Maloof recalled Friday morning. “This was because of the kids. He didn’t want them looking at those pictures.”

Maloof then helped Jackson move to a two-story Sky Villa just below the Hef suite. It was just Jackson, the three kids and him.

“No one else could help with this because nobody else knew he was at the hotel,” Maloof said. “He was having issues with his security guard, and he was actually fired the second day he was there. So it was just us, moving all of these belongings, carrying them down the stairs because he didn’t want to use the elevator and risk someone recognizing him.”

Jackson spent a few days in the two-story suite before being moved once more because the space had long been booked for a high-roller party by a group who also had reserved 300 rooms on the property. Without complaint, Jackson moved once more, in another Sky Villa suite one floor below the two-story residence.

“It was brutal,” Maloof said. “The second move was harder than the first because they’d brought more stuff in -- but he understood our situation.”

Jackson was a guest at the Palms far longer than Maloof expected, about 4 months.

“It was very hush-hush,” Maloof said. “Nobody knew he was there. It’s only now that the CD is coming out that we can talk about it. But we want people to know, yeah, that he did a lot of work at the Palms. It’s pretty remarkable, remembering it all now, actually.”

To All Those Fans Believing Cory Rooney who is Taryll Jackson's manager. Did you know that Cory Rooney worked with Michael during INVINCIBLE called "She Was Loving Me" that Michael never approved because he found out that Cory was Tommy Mottola's spy during INVINCIBLE? Did you know that Cory was managed by Tommy Mottola during INVINCIBLE? Why do you think Cory got alot of production work with all of Sony's biggest artists during that time? Why would Taryll Jackson be managed by the same Cory when Michael hated him so much. Cory was not Michael's friend. He sold Michael's soul to Tommy Mottola for a track that never made INVINCIBLE

Michael Jackson Fans should be outraged that "The King" is no longer. The people that were suppose to protect him are now living off his demise.

Mr. John McClain YOU should step down IMMEDIATELY from the Estate of Mr. Michael Joseph Jackson. You did his life a complete disservice and you do not deserve to make 10% from his earnings. His children deserve it more than you do. Michael Jackson hated you and you know it. He feared you because you liked to bully him.

Michael Jackson - Judge Declines To Hear Jackson's Wrongful Death Suit

A wrongful death lawsuit filed by MICHAEL JACKSON's father will be handled by a California state court after a federal judge insisted he does not have the authority to hear the case.

Joe Jackson launched legal action against Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray in August (10), accusing him of administering a fatal dose of anaesthetic Propofol, which led to the singer's death in June 2009.

Jackson alleges he was being supported by the Thriller hitmaker at the time of his passing - a claim which gives him the necessary legal standing to pursue a wrongful death suit.

He is said to be seeking damages between $10 million (GBP6.7 million) and $500 million (GBP333.3 million) for loss of support, emotional distress and "loss of comfort, aid, society and companionship".

At a federal court hearing on Monday (01Nov10), Jackson's attorney, Brian Oxman, agreed to dismiss a claim alleging the King of Pop's rights were violated under the Americans with Disabilities Act - prompting U.S. District Judge John F. Walter to rule the remaining issues needed to be handled in a state court.

Oxman said he would refile the case in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The federal judge also said he would not delay the case until after the January (11) criminal trial of Dr. Murray, who has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the Thriller hitmaker's June, 2009 death.

Michael Jackson Wrongful Death Case Moved to State Court

A wrongful death lawsuit filed by Michael Jackson's father will now be handled by a state court after a federal judge said Monday he didn't have authority to hear the case and that the singer's father would be unlikely to collect tens of millions of dollars in damages if it remained in his court.

Joe Jackson's attorney agreed to dismiss part of his case against the doctor charged in the pop superstar's death, which prompted the judge to rule that the remaining issues had to be heard in state court.

U.S. District Judge John F. Walter opened a hearing Monday by telling Joe Jackson's attorney that he didn't think Jackson's father could receive any money from one of the major causes of action, which alleged the singer's rights were violated under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

"I am firmly convinced that you can't seek damages on this (disabilities act) cause of action," Walter said.

The judge said that was the only federal issue in the case and he would not handle any other issues. "This is a creature of state law, this wrongful death claim," the judge said.

Joe Jackson's attorney, Brian Oxman, agreed to dismiss the ADA-related claim and said he would refile the case in Los Angeles Superior Court soon.

It will likely join a case filed by the Jackson family patriarch's wife against concert promoter AEG Live. Katherine Jackson sued the company, which planned and promoted a series of London concerts Michael Jackson was preparing for when he died unexpectedly in June 2009.

Dr. Conrad Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and was named in Joe Jackson's lawsuit, but not in the case filed by Katherine Jackson.

Murray's attorney, Charles H. Peckham, told Walter that there would still be legal hurdles in state court for Joe Jackson's lawsuit. He said after the hearing that Murray will challenge whether the elder Jackson has the right to sue for wrongful death.

Authorities have accused Murray of giving Michael Jackson a lethal dose of sedatives, including the anesthetic propofol, in the bedroom of the singer's rented mansion. Propofol is meant to be used in hospital settings.

Murray was charged with involuntary manslaughter and pleaded not guilty.

Walter also said Monday he didn't want to wait for Murray's trial to conclude, and he warned the attorneys that if the case remained in his courtroom, it would not be significantly delayed.

"I'm not going to wait around for two years, you think that's how long the criminal case is going to take," the judge said.
