Michael Jackson News / Olympics Short Track Athlete Doing A Michael Jackson

I was watching the Olympic Short Track races just a little while ago.  Apolo Ohno, an American racer is wearing one black glove with gold tips and one white glove.  I was thinking to myself that the white glove was looking sorta Michael like, especially since only one glove is white.  The other racers have the same color gloves, some white, some black.  All of a sudden, the announcer says, "Apolo's doing a Michael Jackson with that white glove."   I went  :shock:  !     A year ago I doubt the announcer would have even noticed or made a reference to Michael.  His "death" has certainly made him more alive than ever.  

I just wanted to share that with you.

Other Odd Things / Staging the Comeback - Randy Phillip's comment on 50 shows

OK, I watched TII in BR on my new but reasonably priced BR player that I got just so I can watch TII in BR.  Heartbreaking and wonderful all at the same time! :cry:    

Anyway, I was watching the special features and in Staging the Comeback, where they are interviewing everyone about Michael and the show, Randy Phillips makes it a point to say that Michael was excited about doing 50 shows.  He said Michael only asked for 2 things...(1) a house in the county so his kids didn't have to stay in a hotel during that time and (2) when they finished the 50th show, Michael wanted to get in the Guiness Book for doing all those shows.  And then they interview KO, who also mentioned how happy MJ was about the 50 shows.  Also, one of them mentioned that Michael was consulted about adding the shows.  Gee, that's very different from what I heard Michael say in an interview, something like, he went to bed thinking he was doing 10 shows and woke up to find that he was booked for 50.  He said that he was very upset by this and some other things I can't remember right now, but it wasn't excited or happy emotions.

So, there are only 2 good reasons for their comments. (1) They want to wash their hands and conscience clean of their money grubbing decision to add so many shows, and they want the fans to know that Michael was on board with it and looking forward to them, and to dispel any rumors or comments Michael made himself about not wanting to do 50 shows; or (2) They knew there really wasn't going to be 50 shows or they knew Michael wasn't going to do them so they're saying it just because what else can they say or that's their role in the hoax.

Wondering what others make of this??

Michael's Reasons to hoax his death / 50 Shows - 40 Too Many

I was looking at the official MJ site You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login, and saw the list of all the concert dates. Although I knew 50 shows always sounded crazy, when I saw the list of dates, one after another, with hardly any breaks in between,  I was like OMG...what an impossible feat even for a 25 year old entertainer.  And, Michael's shows were never just about singing a few songs as we all know.  It has already been shown that Michael stated something like he went to sleep knowing he had 10 sold out shows and woke up to 50 sold out shows.  He even said he couldn't do them and was upset because he wanted to take the show globally after he was done with the 10.  There is certainly a number of good theories why Michael faked his death, including being able to come back to help save the planet.  But, I also think the 50 shows solidified the deal.  I also know according to everything that I have researched that many aspects of the show just weren't ready to go live by July 13.  They had already pushed the start date back because of this.  This is why I think the plan included KO and possibly even AEG. What else could they do and Michael certainly had the means and the kahonas to carry it out.    Here is the list of all the show dates:

Michael Jackson News / MJ takes Soul/R&B Artist of the Year!

AMA gives award to Michael.  Jermaine and his kids come up to receive the award.  He says, "We love you Michael."  Waiting to see if Michael wins Artist of the Year.  If he wins, I am sure he will be estatic.  He had to "die" before AMA would recognize his talent.  Maybe he'll show up to receive his award if he wins.  Wouldn't that be cool!
