Interesting. I won't take a stance, but am willing to keep my mind open. I am not religious, so the idea does not offend me. I was a Jehovah;s Witness for several years and spent much of my life forcefully immersed in Christianity. I do not take the Bible literally and do believe that it has been written and rewritten to serve purposes beyond the glory of God and Christ. I believe it impossible to know what is truth or fiction in religion and at this point in my life, I do not discount any possibilities. I am not afraid to speak my mind and loathe political correctness (aka censorship). To the OP, at the very least, this is a well thought out theory. True or not, you put a lot of work, a lot of heart, and a lot of soul into this. Good job!

Still catching up on things here in the forum, since I am a newbie. This theory has my jaw on the floor. It fits some of what I have already been thinking, but elaborates and brings some other thoughts to mind... I find it interesting to think about a death hoax tied in with The Immortal Tour. Talk about your red flags, flashing lights, loud sirens... wow! :shock:

Yeah, although he does moonwalk in TII. In Smooth Criminal as always and like 3 steps in Billie Jean. TII was Michael...the new album is Michael...people need to realize that the controversy they are creating is just to get attention back to Michael. That's what the family is doing and everybody else. No other news reports on MJ other than tmz because they are in on in and when Michael gets enough positive attention back to him he will be ready to come back.
I agree that there could be a number of reasons why Mj did not do the moonwalk in some performances. That is not definitive proof that it was not him. I do believe there is a grand message to the entire hoax, but I also agree with the statement above, to some degree.

I actually don't think this is a nutty theory. The possibility exists. I still don't think Michael was actually murdered, but I would definitely consider the possibility that his life was in danger and that is part of the reason for the hoax. I still think there is a much larger purpose behind the hoax, but certainly his life being in danger would be enough reason to expedite the hoax. The only thing that makes me doubt this theory is that it seems to me that this death hoax was in the works for a long time. AEG and the London concerts was a pretty short notice thing, if the information we have is correct. Of course, anything is possible at this point.

i do believe that a double died in MJ's place, doubles were used for years for a number of reasons, and that the plan was in the works for a very long time. This theory presented in this thread is very interesting. I am not saying I buy it or don't. I am simply open to anything. I think anything is possibly and the truth will only come to light when the hoax is revealed.

I believe this is the real MJ in both videos. I do not agree that the interviews were on the same day. He probably just wore the same outfit. His teeth look to me like he was in the process of getting them fixed. MJs smile is too beautiful not to have been cosmetically altered. I do see a difference in the nose. The skin does look lighter, but he said himself that the vitiligo became more pronounced later than 1983. I think this is just the lighting in the video (not well lit).

I believe that the double theory is a possibility, though I cannot give a definitive yay or nay. No one can. However, I do not believe that using a double makes MJ a liar. Use of doubles, for whatever reason, is often a means to an end. Considering the fact that Michael is a big star and has a lot of impersonators, it makes sense to use a decoy to avoid the public, paparazzi, etc. Michael is inherently honest, without a doubt, I am sure it was difficult for him to pull off this part of the hoax. He probably had to think about it for a long time, and may never have become fully comfortable with the idea. Yet, I am sure that he might see things the same way I do: if a "lie" is necessary for the greater good, it is worthwhile. I am not talking about the lies and crapola we are often fed by the government and others under the guise of being for the greater good. I am talking about phenomenal events which require pulling the blinders over people's eyes for a period of time in order to achieve something great for the sake of others; a selfless kind of act.

This is a theory that I have come to doubt. I think a double is likely, but not a twin. I did want to address something that was said earlier in this post. It is not against the JW religion to give up your child, if it is for the good of the child. Usually, the children will be fostered or adopted by other JWs. However, Katherine Jackson does not strike me as the kind of woman who would give up her child. She had several and kept all the others (and don't forget, she had experienced the death of a child before Mmichael came along) , so I think if Michael had a twin, it would be public knowledge and he would have be raised by Joe and Katherine.

Do I believe this hoax carries a message from MJ? You betcha! I lean most toward the theory of U.S. government corruption, but I also think international terrorism plays a role. I think MJ is trying to tell us to be better people. Treat each other better, take nothing for granted, be nice to the planet, etc.; all stuff he has been relaying through his music for years. However, I also think he is telling us to wake up and stop trusting our corrupt government. Far too many people still turn a blind eye to the government, trusting them to carry on and run this country as they see fit. However, the government is not some innocent victim. THey are corrupt, causing and bringing on trouble themselves. We, the people, are the victims. If we don't all wake up soon, it will be too late.

It has been more than a year since anyone has commented on this topic. I am new to the forums and playing catch-up. However, I really do feel a need to comment on this topic. I agree that it is unlikely that the DEA would be part of some elaborate hoax to go after a doctor for small time drug charges. Yes, there certainly are bigger fish to fry when it comes to narcotics. Nevertheless, I am not about to dismiss the idea of MJ being in the Witness Protection Program (WPP).
:idea: Let me explain:
I used to think the idea of such a thing was ludicrous. However, I am involved in a local case that stinks to high heaven off a hoax pointing to the WPP. It is plausible that the government would go to great lengths to achieve their agenda, even to the point of perpetuating a massive hoax. MJ is a megastar. How on earth do you explain his sudden disappearance? You tell the world he died and do everything you can to make it seem real. Unfortunately, the government is not so good at fully covering their tracks and being consistent; therefore, a lot of discrepancies have cropped up, and they have underestimated the intelligence of the general public, as well as avid MJ fans.
No, I do not think the idea is off the wall (pardon the pun… ok, I did that deliberately… just roll with it. LOL). I think it is possible that MJ was helping the government in some way and had no choice but to be placed in protective custody. I am also beginning to believe that Elvis truly did not die in 1977, and I do buy the WPP in his case. I think it was a drug case in Elvis’ case. Nixon was really cracking down during those days, and Elvis was an admirer of law enforcement to the point of being willing to do anything he could to help them. He was performing in Vegas. Elvis had been performing in Las Vegas for seven years at the time of his “death.” He KNEW people. Vegas = Organized Crime = Drugs = Money. It was not pretty during the Mob era, it isn’t pretty now, and I seriously doubt it was Vegas was any less corrupt during the late 70’s. Anyway, it makes sense. The difference I see between the Elvis WPP possibility and the MJ WPP possibility is the reason for it. I do not buy the drug angle. Could Michael know something about corruption within our own government? Possibly. This theory could account for the lack of investigative enthusiasm on the part of the LAPD. If you know someone is fine because they are in the WPP, it is hard to feign interest in the investigation. Their slip-ups were probably due to being puppets on a string to those of higher authority. I am sure only a handful of people were privy to information; the rest were told to do as they were told and not to ask questions. The irritation and confusion from this would easily come across as a lack of enthusiasm for the case. Could it be a case of international terrorism? Maybe. MJ had lived overseas and may have been privy to some information that someone thought he could be trusted with simply because they thought that the way the U.S. had treated him might make him hate this country. Now, if it does have something to do with drugs, I would have to lean toward international drug cartels. That is the only thing big enough to make the WPP due to drugs theory plausible.
What about Conrad Murray? I think it is possible he knows what is going on, but does not know exactly where MJ is. He has probably been assured that all will be fine, and his payday is coming if he willingly plays the role of scapegoat. Why would the government do this? The government will do most anything to keep up appearances. Only the most naïve of people would think otherwise. As for the Jackson family, I think their lack of sadness and their happiness and laughter can be explained by the fact that they were a bit in shock about being told that MJ is fine and in the WPP. As for the kids, I think they know that Daddy is on holiday for an extended period of time and that they cannot say anything. I believe Paris’ emotion was real at the memorial, but it was because she was upset. She is a sensitive young girl; a Daddy’s girl.
MJ being in the WPP would also explain the discrepancies, Freudian slips, and other actions of the Jackson family. They were shocked, but life also has to go on and this one difficult secret to always keep. Slip-ups are bound to happen. Fortunately, no one has come out and admitted everything. I am not sure who all could possibly know. I would not think that the government or MJ would want everyone in on it, that is for sure. Despite the government being in charge of the WPP, I believe that if this is the answer to the hoax, MJ asked for protection, is calling most of the shots, and is collaborating with government officials to ensure that everything is carried out as he wants it carried out.
