A friend of my cousin's was a lighting technician at one of the big Vegas hotels in the 1970s. He worked on The Jacksons' show. He said that during rehearsals, he could see black and blue marks on Michael, that during breaks Michael would go off and sit by himself. According to him it was common knowledge that Joe beat him but no one did anything - “the show must go on”.
I look at pictures of young Michael, so cute and full of spunk, then shy, self conscious teenage Michael and wonder how on earth anyone could hit him. He's so beautiful, how could his own father belittle him? I agree with you, there is no earthly reason. Talent and a desire to please were there to be cultivated, but not like that. Joe's treatment set Michael up for all the bad things that came later in his life. Because Joe didn't love and protect Michael, Micheal wanted to love and protect other boys, to give them what he hadn't received.
I'm sorry if this offends anyone but if Michael says it was so, that's good enough for me. I don't understand fans who defend Joe's actions.

After the zookeeper says Michael told him "No one will ever know what it's like to have to be me", a voice over repeats that as the pic of Michael is shown. Then the zookeeper says "it really taught me a lesson - don't prejudge somebody based on what you always hear."

Does anybody wonder why Front frequently uses the “Afro” smilie in reference to himself? Is he trying to say something other than the obvious? Register or Login Vitiligo develops when cells called melanocytes are killed by the body’s immune system, causing the area of skin to turn white because the cells no longer make pigment. While there is no cure, vitiligo can be treated and managed with light therapy, creams and topical medications. The surgery is known as melanocyte-keratinocyte transplantation or MKTP, and is performed in Europe, Asia and Middle East. It was performed at Henry Ford using the same technique developed by MKTP pioneer Sanjeev Mulekar, M.D., of the National Vitiligo Center in Saudi Arabia. During MKTP, melanocyte cells, which produce pigment in the skin, hair and eyes, are harvested from an area of healthy skin and separated to make a skin cell mixture. This mixture then is applied to the treatment area and covered with a specially developed adhesive biologic dressing. That's classic Benny Hill – I love it!
It seems that Front is trying to keep things light until the trial starts, jury selection is just 5 days away I think. But he does imply that there will be reason for celebration once it's over – I pray that's the case!
Whether Michael actually returns to his “normal” life, some threat having passed, or something transpires that clears his name once and for all, it's way past time for vindication. In the meantime, we may as well party on......

Great post on page 121 - very thoughtful and insightful.
I wonder if part of Front's intent with the Jeremiah passage was to point out how easily we, myself included, get side tracked by insignificant details or amusing but unimportant occurances. Or that we get led astray by those who profess to "know"?
Of course, what's important depends on what you think is going on and only Michael knows for sure. Therein lies the rub.

Trying to illuminate the situation by flipping the switch on a flood light has me feeling like I've been sucked into a galaxy far, far away. :mrgreen: A spotlight would be so helpful! That account has been just sitting there, dormant, since June at least. Given impending events, it will be interesting to see just when it springs to life. @Front Hello to you, too! Thanks for answering as best you can, I wonder about who may be watchin', too. For all my babbling on this thread, it isn't everything that I think I understand. OK, I'll keep trudging down that path and try to be patient. Maybe if I turn around and Moonwalk, I'll see where I've been and how far we've come. That sounds better...... So, is that the Royal “we”?  :lol:
