Interesting for Piers to say at the beginning of the telecast  (at :02)  "Tonight the exclusive interview, 3 years in the making..." Oh, so this interview was planned BEFORE June 25, 2009??   :icon_e_wink:

Kind of along the lines of Kenny Ortega at the July 7 Memorial?? (at :30) "We were here, a little less than a week ago... and Michael was with us..."

Tink, did you notice the date of "Back's" post?  March 17, 2009.  Saint Patrick's Day  :icon_e_wink:

What if Back's post was meant for someone - in the Moment of NOW, this year, this summer? Because the message needed time from the past to come into the future from then?

Yes, according to this link it was on Tuesday, May 8.  Did anyone see it?  :icon_e_wink:

I managed to have a good talk with a fellow audiophile friend of mine tonight. We both agreed that Protools could be used, to compare. I did NOT tell him what I'm doing, or he wouldn't help me. I told him it was like an old horror movie, and I was trying to see which famous actor wasn't credited. My father was even uncredited on a Disney cartoon, but I sure know his laugh.

I'd like TEN words grouped together 2 or three phrases. Each person saying these same words. This is fairly close to how real voice identification is done.

I need the AUDIO, not video, unless I can perhaps swing Final Cut Pro, or something else I've been trained on. I just must SEE the actual wave forms themselves: clean, clear, and without music added! I cannot work with that interference - it muddies the signal.

Have you all noticed? Anyone with recording software hasn't been stepping forward with this info - directly.

"At the Encino House" is almost half of what we need - a complete phrase unto itself! Surely with all that "Dave Dave" talked about, there must be much more that was said, that they both said at different times. 3 words together here, 4 words together there.

In this, I really need your help, if you'd really like to get to the bottom of this. I'm talking about LIVE footage, that I can scope!

With the Encino house phrase, we are 40% there.

Because I can tell you one thing: NO ONE's voice is exactly the same as someone else's. You can make it sharper, make it deeper, make it lower. But it will still have the same waveform.

Not using the same words but sounds so much like the same inflections.  Don't know if this will help, I'll try to find some with both using the same words...

At 7:26 "we'd wake up (at) like dawn and go in the hot air balloon"

@SimPatty - glad I made you laugh! That's the old fashioned way, yes. But - keep it in mind.

Okay - I'm going to show you ALL how they did Tupac RIGHT NOW - after they'd processed him digitally (why he slid around, same movements, blah, blah blah). And, yes - it's the same people who did Gorillaz & Madonna @ the Grammys! You can also click that video.

Let it load first, then blow it up. It's going to blow your mind: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ENJOY!

Thanks, Tink!  That's an amazing video  :)

I found the following information interesting, especially in light of all the "1950s dimension of theorems".

In this interview with Smokey Robinson (at :54), Billy Bush from Entertainment Tonight says that "Tupac" at Coachella was being called a "hologram" but it wasn't a "hologram", it was "Pepper's Ghost" which is an "illusion".

I googled "Pepper's Ghost" and got:

"Apr 1, 2006 12:00 PM, By David Johnson

The most remarkable trick at this year's Grammy Awards was not the dress that held Mariah Carey's chest in check but the appearance of virtual band Gorillaz performing “live” on stage with Madonna. Any theatre rat would recognize the performance as an elaborate, 21st century take on Pepper's Ghost, the theatrical illusion in which an image or an actor offstage is illuminated so that the light waves bounce off a reflective material placed at a strategic angle onto an onstage screen, creating what looks like a ghostly image onstage.

“A 21st century take on Pepper's Ghost is correct,” explains James Rock, director of Musion, the UK-based company responsible for the effect (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login). “The principles remain the same. I don't think the laws of physics are likely to change soon, but the development of HD video projection, coupled with high powered projectors and the use of a thin membrane foil, have created reflected images that have a much more realistic look than anything previously achieved using a more conventional Pepper's Ghost setup.”

The backbone of the Grammy effect (and, indeed, of other televised Gorillaz performances to date) is the Musion Eyeliner system, which is composed of a video projector, usually DLP, with a minimum native resolution of 1280×1024 and a brightness of 5,000+ lumens, a hard disc player with 1920×1080i HD graphics card, Musion's patented Eyeliner foil, a 3D set/drawing that encloses three sides, plus lighting, audio, and show control. The content can be live, virtual humans, or any variety of objects and has, thus far, been used extensively in the corporate market for product launches and the like. The company has secured several worldwide patents based on the process, with the Eyeliner foil being a core component.

“The foil is one of the keys to the technique,” says Rock. “Suffice to say, it is supplied on a large roll — 16' or 32' high and hundreds of feet long from our supply source — and has a high gain reflective treatment that's applied to it during production. The foil is also very thin but quite durable to work with. This means that we can do very big images where glass isn't a practical option.”

The "1950s dimension of theorems" are describing a true hologram (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login) which "Tupac" doesn't seem to be.

So just another case of us overanalyzing?  A case of semantics?

But I did notice that the Momment of Now was outside of time.  And so while we, INside of time perceive a continuum and uncertainty about the future, OUTside of time, in the momMent of NOW, everything has already happened. It's only in the momMent of now can uncertainty be resolved and one can just be.  For me, in those momMents when I feel connected to everything and everyone, Michael is very much alive.  He is so much here that I wonder how it is that everyone can't feel him.

I KNOW that Michael will come back and the world will change for the better because of it.

Somebody shakes when the wind blows
Somebody's missing a friend, hold on
Somebody's lacking a hero
And they have not a clue
When it's all gonna end

Stories buried and untold
Someone is hiding the truth, hold on
When will this mystery unfold
And will the sun ever shine
In the blind man's eyes when he cries?

You can change the world (I can't do it by myself)
You can touch the sky (Gonna take somebody's help)
You're the chosen one (I'm gonna need some kind of sign)
If we all cry at the same time tonight

People laugh when they're feeling sad
Someone is taking a life, hold on
Respect to believe in your dreams
Tell me where were you
When your children cried last night?

Faces filled with madness
Miracles unheard of, hold on
Faith is found in the winds
All we have to do
Is reach for the truth

You can change the world (I can't do it by myself)
You can touch the sky (Gonna take somebody's help)
You're the chosen one (I'm gonna need some kind of sign)
If we all cry at the same time tonight

And when that flag blows
There'll be no more wars
And when all calls
I will answer all your prayers

You can change the world (I can't do it by myself)
You can touch the sky (Gonna take somebody's help)
You're the chosen one (I'm gonna need some kind of sign)
If we all cry at the same time tonight

If we all cry at the same time tonight
If we all cry at the same time tonight

Change the world

The Jacksons Plot ‘Unity’ Summer

02:01 PM Tuesday 4/3/12

Michael Jackson’s siblings take to the road once again as “The Jacksons: Unity Tour 2012” prepares to launch a summer run.

Embarking on their first major tour since Ronald Reagan lived in the White House, The Jacksons have four shows going up on Ticketmaster this weekend – Englewood, N.M., at the Bergen Performing Arts Center June 30; Baltimore at the Modell Performing Arts Center At The Lyric July 1; Washington, D.C., at DAR Constitution Hall July 3 and Houston at the Bayou Music Center (formerly Verizon Wireless Theater) July 14.

The biggest tour to date for The Jacksons was 1984’s “Victory” outing, the last tour the group did with Michael. Rumors of a reunion tour continued to circulate right up until Michael’s 2009 death.

Presales for the four shows mentioned above begin April 5 and general onsales launch April 6. We would like to refer you to the group’s website for more information but as of today You are not allowed to view links. And two other interesting links...

March 20, 2012

"The notorious Holmby Hills house where Michael Jackson died is back up for sale, yet again and with a tiny little priceup. The house has been on and off the market since 2008 (with a starting price of $38 million), and was renting to Jackson for $100,000 a month when he suddenly died in June 2009. Last fall, owners Hubert and Roxanne Guez (Hubert is the CEO of Ed Hardy) sued the woman who sells star maps down the street, saying she and her customers were scaring away potential buyers (we can think of a few other scary things they might want to sue first, but whatever). The house was designed by Richard Landry and built in 2002 on 1.26 acres. It has seven bedrooms, thirteen bathrooms, a theater, an elevator, a spa and gym, and a guesthouse. In December, many of the furnishings (including a “pair of obelisk and urn form table lamps” and a “Parian marble statue of a peasant girl”) were sold at auction. Now the house is back on the open market for the first time since last summer–it was last seen asking $23.5 million; it’s now asking $23.9 million."

More Haircutting While Chasing the Market Down

"Last Sunday we looked at a feature from Zillow Blog: ten expensive home sales in 2010 from all around the country.  Today we take another look at more hideously high-priced homes across the nation, only these still haven’t sold.

"Michael Jackson’s Rented House – Holmby Hills (Los Angeles), CA

Original Asking Price: $38 million (April 2008)

Reduced Asking Price: $28,995,000(August 2010)

Current Asking Price: $23.5 million (October 2010)

Haircut so far: –46% ($14.5 million)

Yes, MJ was the tenant here, not the owner.  It’s just your basic 17,100 square foot 7 BR/13 BA French Chateau designed by Richard Landry off Sunset Boulevard.  Has the usual guest house and private cinema.  Ho hum.  Last sold for $18.5 million in 2004, and may very well sell for something a lot closer to that."

would it be feasible that the stage persona could legally have one name ( then ever who could still legally play the role) while the other name the true one owned the property ( such as intellectual property, the music) ?

I would think so.  Here's a link to some celebrity stage names and "real" names.  I also looked up a couple  ;)

Thome also ended up not having to show for the trial...

March 28, 2011 - Los Angeles (CNN) -- "Michael Jackson's former business manager, Tohme Tohme, must testify in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, who is accused in Jackson's death, a judge ruled Monday.

Tohme's attorneys argued their client was not properly served the subpoena, but a process server testified she handed it to Tohme at his home March 3. A used car dealer testified Monday that he was with Tohme at an auto auction at the time.

"I am satisfied there was service in this case," said Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor after hearing both witnesses."

April 21, 2011 - (CNN) - "Judge Pastor did not order estate executors to give the defense detailed financial information about money the singer owed when he died. But he did say that Jackson's former business manager, Tohme Tohme, must testify in Murray's trial."

Tohme Tohme Ramses
:

Tohme Tohme—MJ’s manager for most of the year leading up to the This Is It tour. People like to say his office is the back booth at the Bel Air Hotel. Of Lebanese descent, it has been reported that he claimed on his company’s website to be an ambassador-at-large from the country of Senegal, but the Senegalese embassy disclaimed any knowledge of him. Tohme Tohme has often been described by the press as a mysterious fellow. But is he? Really?

In reality, Tohme owned a company called TRW Advertising. Jim Weller, (the W of TRW), creative director and one of the partners, according to the website, has won more than 2,000 awards including Ten Best in America by Adweek, created the “Where’s the Beef” slogan, and the TRW website states he was a former adviser to a president of the United States. The other partner, Sig Rogich, is a businessman from Iceland who was briefly the U.S. ambassador to Iceland.

Is Tohme Tohme really that mysterious or just a businessman who likes his privacy?

It was Tohme who introduced Jackson to Tom Barrack of Colony Capital and set into play the complicated negotiations that would then become the AEG-Live deal for the This Is It tour, which were intended to put back on his feet.

There is no question that Tohme Tohme adored Jackson.

Jackson fired him two months before the This Is It tour and brought back in longtime manager Frank DiLeo (who sadly passed away on August 2, 2011).

Shortly before Jackson’s death, I was told by someone familiar with the events, DiLeo asked Tohme to come back in and help, which would explain another thing that never made any sense at all.

On June 25, 2009, after Jackson was declared dead at UCLA Medical Center, according to multiple witness testimony in the preliminary hearing, Tohme returned to the Carolwood residence, took charge, fired the entire security staff, and replaced them on the spot.

What Tohme Tohme might have testified to is how much financial pressure  Jackson was really under at the time of his death, and whether Tohme had ever had an experience with MJ when he seemed impaired in any way.

Michael’s sister LaToya has claimed on numerous occasions that Tohme removed $5 million from the Carolwood residence (Michael always liked to keep a lot of cash on hand). And according to probate court records, Tohme did return $5.2 million to the estate (albeit a year after Michael’s death) that he claimed Michael had given him so that Tohme could purchase a “dream” house for MJ, a “retreat” of a sort, in Las Vegas.

As it happens, LaToya also went to the Carolwood house after Michael died and spent the night there. (Talk about a contaminated crime scene—although in fairness to the LAPD, they didn’t actually realize it was a “potential” crime scene until a number of days after Michael’s death.) Several people have asked me to ask LaToya about the Post-its. Don’t ask me what the Post-its are though; all I know is they disappeared, too.

Tohme Tohme likes to say that Michael Jackson wasn’t paying him anything.  That’s true. But he did have a piece of the This Is It tour. And rumor has it, he’s about to sue. (Stay tuned ...)

What Tohme Tohme Ramses would have testified to:

The extraordinary talent of MJ."
