Taxi star Andy Kaufman faked his death and is still alive, a woman claiming to be his daughter has announced. Since officially dying from lung cancer in 1984 there have been rumours and speculation the American entertainer's death was part of an elaborate comedy stunt. A document apparently certifying Mr Kaufman's death from kidney failure can be found online. But on Tuesday a 24-year-old woman appeared on stage at the Andy Kaufman awards - which honour new comedy talent - to announce she was his daughter and he was alive. "He just wanted to be a stay-at-home dad, that's why he wanted to leave showbiz," she told Michael Kaufman, the show's host and Andy's brother. "He's pretty much a great dad, and raised us. My mum has her own business … he helps her with that kind of thing, paperwork and stuff, so he can work from home and he doesn't have to be hiding out … concealing himself." "He just makes us food and takes care of the house." Before the woman was introduced on stage, Michael Kaufman revealed he discovered a letter from his brother in 1999 which also claimed the star was still alive. The essay explained he had a wife and a daughter and he had gone into hiding to live a normal life. Mr Kaufman was well-known for playing the role of Latka Gravas in Taxi, a character humoured for his poor spoken English. According to the New York Times, Mr Kaufman considered himself an entertainer, rather than a comedian. "I am not a comic, I have never told a joke," he said. "The comedian's promise is that he will go out there and make you laugh with him. My only promise is that I will try and entertain you as best I can." "I'm 78 and I've still got a lot of energy and I want to do what my dreams are, which is to see people come together across the barriers," Jones told Reuters in the Moroccan capital Rabat where he appeared in the Mawazine music festival. He scoffs at a question as to whether age and past medical woes, such as a serious cerebral aneurysm he suffered in 1974, might encourage him to ease up. "Not at all. I'll slow down when I die," he said. As a performer, Jones was already touring North Africa and other parts of the world in the 1950s with some of the biggest names of jazz including Lionel Hampton and Dizzy Gillespie. He arranged Sinatra's "Fly Me to the Moon" and produced Michael Jackson's album "Thriller" and the 1985 "We are the World" recording for African famine relief. Watching the star-studded 1990 documentary "Listen Up: The Lives of Quincy Jones" today, one is struck by how many of the music legends linked to Jones have since died.

If, like us, you were skeptical about news reports claiming that legendary Motown singer Diana Ross would get Michael Jackson's children when their 80-year-old grandmother Katherine Jackson passes away, doubt no more!
Ross, 67, indeed would become guardian of the dead singer's three children, according to new information exclusively uncovered by RadarOnline.
A source close to the Jackson family tells us that the superstar diva was named in her longtime friend Michael Jackson's will as guardian of Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket. And even though it was suggested that Ross declined the huge responsibility, that too is bunk, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
"Diana has made no moves whatsoever not fulfill her role that Michael intended for her," the source says. "Michael didn't trust anyone in his family besides, his mother, to raise the children. Michael loved Diana and chose her for a very specific reason," our source adds.
Katherine Jackson turns 81 on May 4, and it was revealed in court documents recently that she has a live-in caregiver.
"Katherine is a very doting, loving grandmother," the source added. "She just isn't getting any younger and that is why Michael named a second guardian."
An informant in Ross' entourage said the singer of Upside Down and Endless Love hasn't been involved in the children's lives, so far.
"She will step in if there's an immediate need to do so," the Ross informant said.
Ross has five adult children.

Dr. Conrad Murray provided attention to a fellow passenger on a Delta Airlines flight Sunday morning, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
Dr. Murray, who is facing a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 death of Michael Jackson, was on a flight from San Francisco for Minneapolis.
The flight was half-way there when the captain announced over the p.a. system that a passenger needed medical attention, and asked if a doctor or nurse was on board.
Dr. Murray, who's alleged to have injected the Billy Jean singer with turned out to be a lethal dose of drugs moments before his death, quickly jumped into action, an eyewitness on the plane tells RadarOnline.com.
"Dr. Murray assisted a man who appeared to be in his 40's, who was dizzy, clammy, and a little disoriented," the witness says.
"Dr. Murray and another physician who was on board both helped to stabilize the man who was traveling with his family. The captain of the plane decided against making an emergency landing, and the flight landed as scheduled in Minneapolis. The man was met by paramedics, and he was checked out. It was decided he didn't require further medical attention."
The passenger didn't recognize Dr. Murray, our eyewitness tells us. "But he was recognized by other people on the plane who were staring at him,"
This is the second time that Dr. Murray has helped assisted with a passenger seeking medical attention on a plane. Last May, Dr. Murray was on a US Airways flight when he treated a woman that had fainted.You are not allowed to view links.

There are some premium results, so cant see those addresses. I am going to try and do some more research on this. I need more info on Keith Murray - for example, who he lives with and his spouses name. If anyone can add anything to this, please help out. xx  i am also going to contact the London Standard and the two journalists listed to see if they will give me more information. i will keep you posted on this thread.
