The O2 Press Conference / Colour choice/symbolism at O2?
« on: May 20, 2011, 10:06:59 PM »
Forgive me if this is a double post, I searched and found nothing. I logged in just to post this.

I was looking at pictures on my wall of MJ at the O2 conference and all you see is red (curtain) and black (his clothes). I thought oh, that's his favourite colours, red and black (so I've heard). Then I started wondering if the colours symbolise anything; red could be blood, and black could be death. The colours seem so striking, but is there any meaning behind it or just purely coincidence?

I found this article and don't know if it has any relevance.

What raised my eyebrows (literally lol) was the mention of 3 women (sounds like MJ's father/brothers), the mention of Las Vegas strip clubs (MJ performed at strip clubs as a child) and lastly the mention of Murray buying one of the women a plane ticket (reminded me of Jermanie's hospital/airport slip-up).

Does anyone have any thoughts?

The O2 Press Conference / Body language analysis of O2 press conference.

I viewed this particular video of the press conference: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I'm no expert, but I've read a lot of body language books, I'm really into psychology (hoping to study it soon.)  I found new, interesting things from the video as I went along, that I'd never noticed until now.  Here's my take it on it, and I hope it makes sense:

When Michael starts to say "These will be..." he uses what experts call a "politician's point" which, as the name suggests it's the gesture a lot of politicians use. It means they are trying to get a clear point across.  The gesture is when he presses his index finger and thumb together.

Michael then shows the palm of his hand for quite a long time. Any time we see the palm, we can assume the person is honest.  Perhaps Michael knows this and kept it up for a long time, purposely to gain the audience's trust; as if to prove he is being honest.  After this he goes back to the politician's point.

He then starts to say "This will be it, and when I say this is it, it really means this is it..."  and right as he says "it really means this is it" he closes his fingers over his palm (not so honest?)

He starts giggling which could be from all the attention and he feels embarrassed (he's done that plenty of times) and he leans over the podium, as if he doesn't want to look at the audience (again may just be embarrassment.) The hand over the chest implies again, honesty, sincerity.  But he puts his left hand first and then right, so both hands are on his chest. Defensiveness, insecurity maybe?

Then he smiles and touches his bottom lip: "I'll be performing the songs my fans wanna hear." When he says the word "fans" his shoulders go up, that suggests tension, nervousness.  Touching the lip/laughing could mean lying but any time anything goes up to the mouth, it means the person is seeking reassurance.  So insecurity is there.

Then he starts saying again "This is it, I mean this is really it..." Notice the palm is back, just like the first time he tried to make it clear "This is it."

Something else I just picked up on (I'm watching it bit-by-bit as I type this to be sure I don't miss something lol.)  he then says "I'll see you in July."  Do you notice when he pronounces the word "July" it makes the whole statement sound more like a question.  More like "I'll see you in July?"  This means he is unsure of himself because if he was sure of himself it would come out like a definite statement.  Maybe he was unsure if he could go through with the concerts, or maybe he knew there wouldn't be any concerts.

Omg another thing I only just noticed. Look at 4:45 in the clip.  After he says "I'll see you in July" (sounding like a question) he says "And..." He is smiling and he suddenly closes his mouth. Watch his throat! He swallows! He could be lying, or feeling nervous.  Why, I wonder?  He then tilts his head to the audience, did he just see someone who made him nervous?

THEN he puts his hand up, giggles and says "I love you. I really do..." Now, go back to my last paragraph. What did he mean when he said "And..." AND WHAT Michael?  It looked like he wanted to add something, then stopped himself and felt nervous, thus closing his mouth to swallow.  Then, to distract the audience from what he almost said after the "And..." he puts his hand up (another palm), giggles and tells them he loves them a few times.  "You have to know that" he says. Why do we *have* to know it? All his fans know he loves them back.  I don't think I've ever heard him tell an audience he loves them the way he did.  I know it was meant to be his final shows, but if he said it in such a final way because of that, surely he would make more of a speech, thanking people throughout his career, his family, fans?  He would be clearer and say thanks for all the decades of loyal fans, and thanks to all the people he worked with.  The whole speech just sounded so disjointed.

He definitely looked nervous about something, I can tell you that much.  Either he was nervous of his fans' reactions to him implying he was retiring, or he was nervous because he was hiding something.  He couldn't possibly be that nervous out of shyness and the embarrassment of all his fans cheering for him; he has done plenty of other speeches (recent ones) where fans were cheering him on, yet he did not act that way.

HOLY cow I just picked up something else.  At 3:31 he says "These will be my final show performances...in London." WATCH the way he emphasises the word London. After he says "performances" he moves his head quickly to ADD the word "London."  He also raises his eyebrows when he adds "London."  So does that mean it's his last shows in London, but not elsewhere?  It looks as if he adds "in London" to clarify he only means London and not elsewhere. Can you see what I mean?  Watch closely.

Dave Dave / A couple more similarities I don't think have been mentioned
« on: December 09, 2010, 08:57:55 PM »
Okay, apart from the bleeding obvious resemblances between MJ and DD, "Dave Dave" stumbles on his words twice: when saying "become my own person" and "stigmatized".  Michael stumbled on his words exactly the same way.  Example, the 1993 Oprah interview: he says referring to watching James Brown: "I used to get angry at the cameraman" and stumbles on the word "angry".  Watch it closely, DD and MJ both stumble on words in exactly the same way.  I am sure there's other examples of how MJ does this.

Also when 'DD' says "my favourite video game was Pole Position. And I was playing Pole Position..."  Take note of the way he repeats "Pole Position". This is exactly what MJ did, I think an example was in Living with Michael Jackson and he is telling the story of Tatum O'Neill and he says "she told me to lay on the bed, and I layed on the bed..." and also when he says about Prince's birth he says "the doctor told me to pull him out, so I pull him out..." Notice the repetition?  I am fairly sure there are clearer examples of this which I will try to find but the way DD repeats "Pole Position" really reminded me of exactly how MJ speaks.

Just having a look at MJ's "death certificate" in a magazine.  Why are there 4 signatures blanked out?  When you look very closely, the certifier, coroner, and two others' signatures of which I can't see clearly, are hidden. But aside his social security number (which is expected to be hidden) why the signatures?  It has the coroner's name ...

Did they not exist in the first place?  Thus nobody can hold them responsible?

Or is this simply so people can't commit fraud?

Sorry, it might be a stupid question lol.

Also in the education section it says "HS graduate"; didn't he get some degree or something?

I saw this advertised for 2012, and looked it up and now it's saying it's being held March 2011.  I didn't even know the title of it until I saw it online You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

The title stunned me.

Thoughts?

This Is It / Oddities in TII and Jackson Family Dynasty
« on: December 06, 2010, 10:38:12 PM »
Since coming to this forum it got me thinking about This Is It and how it may relate.  I've seen the movie a fair few times and one thing I noticed the other night was when he uses Diana Ross' voice and the J5 background. MJ may have gotten permission but I always thought he wasn't allowed to use the name anymore, and Berry Gordy got into legal battles over the name etc. Just something I noticed.

Last night in bed I was thinking about what else may be odd about it, & Earth Song popped in my head. Now, the text at the start says "thanks to a few cameras" they were able to capture his rehearsals.  In Earth Song, MJ actually speaks about how he loves trees, and he likes to bring "hope and awakening" to people.  Don't you think him talking suggests it was a planned film, and not just impromptu rehearsals?  I mean, WHEN and WHY would he have recorded himself saying that? Was it meant to be incorporated into the "concerts"?

The most obvious set-up is the dancer at the start who says "life is hard, right. Been searching for something, blah blah..............this is it." I mean, the dancers would have known the name of the tour if this was in April 2009.  Obviously we all saw the name of the tour when MJ spoke at the 02 with the red curtains.  So this guy just happens to say a whole phrase that fits so perfectly? Come on...seriously?

And why was MJ only touring London? He has fans worldwide, and he said the Bad tour was to make it fair, since his last Victory tour was the USA only. So why UK specifically?  My mum didn't believe he is alive, but even SHE said every time she sees that crowd at the O2, something doesn't look right to her.

My mum bought the Family Dynasty series a fair while back, and before I even considered the possibility of a hoax, I started to wonder if it was fake because I could sense something wasn't authentic. Maybe only some was acted but a couple of indications were when Tito is telling one of the boys (Jackie's son I think) about the famous story of Joe coming home to find the broken guitar, hitting Tito, and then telling him to show him what he could do. Jackie's son was acting as though he'd never even heard the story!  Everyone's heard it, so of course all their kids would've too.  Also when Jermaine starts telling the brothers why he stayed at Motown when the rest left the company. Jermaine gets all teary and seriously, wouldn't you think he would've told them years and years ago? It just happens to be RIGHT THEN with all the cameras around?  Seems so false to me.  As much as I enjoyed watching though... :D

I haven't watched TII or Jackson Family Dynasty in full recently but I'm planning to soon with a more analytical approach...but these are just some of the things I noticed from memory.

I have two important topics to discuss in the one post, here goes:

Firstly: the legal side.

I mentioned to my mum that some people think Michael's still alive, and they have evidence, and about Dave Dave. It went down like a lead balloon, in less than about 30 seconds flat.  She said "BS", and the coroner and government have to actually verify a person's death. So my question is this: how could he fake his death (especially being so famous) without the government and coroner knowing?  I assume it is illegal and Michael would be thrown into jail the moment the coroner/government realise. I do not see any topics in this forum about the LEGAL side of it, the possible consequences of his faked death. Is he that powerful that he could coerce the government/coroner/whoever into going along with it?  It's one thing having his family, friends etc on his side but the government/coroner, seriously?  Perhaps his massive celebrity status could be an advantage and he could use valid reasons to convince the government/coroner to go along with it, such as fame has destroyed his freedom.

Don't get me wrong; I am about 90% sure there's something odd surrounding his "death" and some of the theories here sit so well with me. Dave Dave on LKL is strong evidence for most, me included.  I was wondering if it is also illegal to pose as somebody else (Dave Dave) and that is why he used the NAME Dave Dave instead of Dave Rothenberg (thus it's technically not lying).  The analysis of his "final curtain call" speech I also just read, and it seems a very reasonable explanation.

Secondly: the short film Ghosts

I surely can't be the only one who's analyzed the dozens of symbolism and metaphors in it.

The scene which may be relevant to all this is where he asks "Do you me to leave?" and the kids all say "No" and the Mayor says "Yes! Yes!" in an aggressive voice. Michael then says "Fine, I'll go" and he crashes his head and hands on the concrete - his face (identity?) turning to dust and then his whole body then turns to dust too.  Everyone but the Mayor is upset; the Mayor says "good riddance" and says "let's go" about 3 times. He opens the door to leave and unexpectedly Michael's huge face humorously says "hellooo!!!". The Mayor runs for his life, breaking the window (SEVEN years bad luck) and earlier when the mirror comes out of the Mayor's gut, he drops the mirror, smashing it (SEVEN years bad luck, are you with me?)

The MOST IMPORTANT interpretation of this scene is that right when everyone thought he turned to dust (died), he showed up and terrified the crap out of the Mayor (media?)  This may only be saying that although the media likes to believe they've killed/destroyed him and his popularity, in actual fact they haven't, the kids still love him and there he is, popping up when the Mayor opens the door to leave.  But is it something more?

I think the overall idea of Ghosts is brilliantly expressing that although the media try to scare and control him, HE is the one in control (hence the Mayor dancing AS MJ, like a puppet), and remember all the monsters/zombies dancing with him?  There is one little monster who is actually a joker (I'm sure you know which one I mean). He even flicks his joker's hat with a smile, suggesting Michael (and/or his staff) is/are playing tricks on THEM (media).  The monsters in Ghosts probably symbolise his staff because when Michael as a skeleton screams out they all stop and to see what he wants them to do next.  In reality his staff did just about whatever he asked; he controlled everything right?

I've read in Randy Taborelli's book also that Michael discovered in the Thriller era that he's actually the one who controls the media, NOT vice-versa.  Ghosts therefore is absolute genius in my opinion, in terms of symbolism and metaphors.

Perhaps I am taking it too literally, but do you think Ghosts has a relation to his real life "death" somehow?
