Hi all,

Saw this lyric video posted today of George Michael's new song 'White Light'. Correct me if I'm wrong but I found the lyrics to be very strange and hoax related. Hope I'm not going mad and you can all see it too! Let me know what you think!

Fake News (MJ Edition) / Sickening tabloid trash!
« on: November 08, 2011, 02:45:12 PM »
I haven't felt this sick in as long as I can remember. In our local major paper, there is the most disgusting opinion piece about MJ's "death". I don't even want to post it on here so I provide the link and make sure you hammer the comments section because this guy is nothing short of pathetic. I don't normally like to involve myself with conflict but I feel that this is utter crap that needs to be attacked by us for MJ.

Also note this same person who wrote the main article for the paper regarding yesterday's verdict canned the fans outside the court for not recognizing that MJ was a junkie who caused his own death with his addiction to drugs and so they shouldn't have been chanting "Justice for Micahel!"

MICHAEL JACKSON'S KIDS
Watching a Movie, Not the Trial

With the fate of Conrad Murray still hanging in the balance, Michael Jackson's children -- Prince, Blanket and Paris (in the white hat) -- went to the movies last night and saw "Tower Heist."

According to our sources, Katherine has been filling the children in on the details of the trial herself -- she'd rather they hear it from her and not through anyone else.

We're told when the verdict comes down, Katherine will be the one to tell them the news.

Jurors did not reach a verdict on Friday and deliberations will continue Monday morning.

Other Odd Things / 'Thriller' album for $9.99 on Australian iTunes
« on: October 27, 2011, 12:22:07 AM »
Hi all,

Apple iTunes Australia are selling the 'Thriller' album for $9.90 and it only just occurred to me that there may be more to it in terms of the numerology. Most of you will of course know that I'm referring to the insight provided by our TS. To add to this, I remember they were doing this with the 'Bad' album not long ago either but it didn't happen to stand out to me like it did with the Thriller one. Now it could be nothing or could it be something but given in the past we have been given clues from Apple like them promoting Michael on the iTunes homepage with the 'Liberian Girl' behind the camera picture, I choose to beLIEve this is simply not just another coincidence. I'm not sure if it's happening in other countries but I love the fact that my iTunes has been selling such significant albums by the man for the very interesting prices of $9.99  ;)

Jermaine talks about MJ and the plastic surgery, molestation charges and the search for the truth about his "death". Interesting viewing.

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the right section but this morning on our breakfast program here in Australia, they had an interesting segment on mysterious celebrity deaths including Marylin Munroe, Heath Ledger and yes, they of course mentioned MJ. It may not be directly hoax related but an interesting viewing anyway. Enjoy!

MICHAEL Jackson was planning a revolution. "I hope you're ready," Jackson told producer Teddy Riley. "We're going to shock the world."
Riley was ordered to be in London from July, 2009, where Jackson had sold out 50 shows at the O2 Arena.

"I was supposed
to go to London for three weeks to work with him in the studio," Riley says.

"Michael was hungry. He wanted to do those shows so badly. He told me once he did the first week of those concerts, he would be ready to cut a record."

Riley had not written anything specific for the album.

"I made music on the spot with Michael and this (London session) would be no different," Riley says.

"I knew his style. We would write at the piano, demo, and retest it to see if it was worth completing.

"For Michael, I got everything to the finish line, to a point where it was ready for the streets."

A few weeks after the conversation, Jackson shocked the world - though, not the way he had planned. He died of a heart attack on June 25, 2009.

This month, a posthumous album, Michael, was released.

It features 10 songs Jackson recorded with unknown collaborators in 2007.

Some are unused songs from Jackson's Thriller (1982) era. Another is a duet with Akon, recorded in Las Vegas three years ago.

Riley, who Jackson nicknamed The Finisher, brings his production sheen to Michael's demo quality songs and sketches.

"My job was to get the feel and sound of the album to what Michael would have expected," Riley says.

"His expectations were all about the music. Michael would want this album to be great musically and sonically it must slam."

Indeed, Riley gets Jacko's groove back on a new song, Hollywood Tonight.

But, elsewhere, on cuts like Monster and Breaking News, the source material is too weak to be saved.

The tracks, co-written with unknown producer Eddie Cascio, are way below par. Eddie is the son of Dominick Cascio Sr, a former manager at a New York hotel frequented by Jackson in 1984.

Jackson befriended Cascio, his wife, Connie, and sons, Eddie and Frank, and regularly stayed at their home in New Jersey. In 2007, after a three-month stay at the Cascio home, Jackson recorded 12 songs with Eddie.

"They were his surrogate family," Riley says. "He lived with them when he didn't have anything to do. When Michael wasn't busy he would go straight to their home and stay."

Eddie Cascio, now 28, was three when Jackson came into their lives.

"Eddie has been studying Michael, the music and the chords, since he was a kid," Riley says.

"Michael advised him and mentored him. As Eddie grew up, he grew into making music.

"Eddie showed Michael some tracks he had. Michael liked them. And they started writing together."

But the Cascio co-writes are charmless and predictable. Both wallow in complaints about paparazzi and everybody wanting a piece of Jackson.

It gets worse. On Monster, Jackson sang his vocals through a PVC pipe.

"You use what you have and it becomes history," Riley says.

Riley says Jackson used a low-cost Shure microphone on Wanna Be Starting Something, the opening track on Thriller.

"Now that's a cheap microphone," Riley says. "But he sang into that and the music industry couldn't believe it. But it became famous and everybody began using Shure."

Asked if Michael is up to standard of previous Jackson albums, Riley answers: "I think it is. All of Michael's albums were innovative. But they were all different from each other."

Riley says Eddie Cascio is in the same spot he was when Jackson asked him to oversee the 1992 album, Dangerous.

Riley followed Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad, all produced by Quincy Jones.

"How do you follow Quincy?" Riley asks, laughing.

"But you have to remember - Michael is the one who co-signed these new songs. Michael is the one who put his pen to it. Michael is the one who put his vocals on it."

Michael is out now.

Michael Jackson News / Assange hints at UFO cable release

Julian Assange has hinted at revealing confidential UFO information in a soon-to-be-published group of Wikileaks cables.

The founder of the notorious website revealed the information during a chat with readers of the UK's Guardian on Friday.

Assange was asked whether he had ever been forwarded documents that deal with the topic of UFOs or extraterrestrials, to which he answered:

"Many weirdos email us about UFOs or how they discovered that they were the anti-christ whilst talking with their ex-wife at a garden party over a pot-plant. However, as yet they have not satisfied two of our publishing rules: 1) that the documents not be self-authored; 2) that they be original.

However, it is worth noting that in yet-to-be-published parts of the cablegate archive there are indeed references to UFOs." Assange said.

Wikileaks revelations continue to flow, this week embarrassing Kevin Rudd locally with a cable describing his foreign policy views on China.

According to a leaked WikiLeaks when Prime Minsiter Mr Rudd warned US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to be prepared to use force against China "if everything goes wrong".

Mr Rudd also told Ms Clinton during a meeting in Washington on March 24 2009 that China was "paranoid" about Taiwan and Tibet and that his ambitious plan for an Asia-Pacific community was intended to blunt Chinese influence.

Michael Jackson lifts lid on his demons from the grave

Michael Jackson’s tortured life shortly before his death has been laid bare in the lyrics on his upcoming album.

The superstar rails against the media, hangers-on, moneymen and his personal demons.

Singing on his first posthumous album, called simply Michael, his haunting lyrics were played on British soil for the first time to Metro on Wednesday.

It’s not long into the 43-minute, ten-track record before his insecurities surface.

On Monster, featuring rapper 50 Cent, he hollers: ‘Everywhere you seem to turn there’s a monster. Paparazzi got you scared like a monster.’

As question marks remain over his death last year, Jacko sings: ‘And you’re running just to scape it. But they’re gunning for the money. It’s dragging you down like a monster.’

He turns his attention to being under the media microscope on Breaking News.

‘The paparazzi will not leave him alone. Reporters stalking the moves of Michael Jackson. Everyone’s wanting a piece of Michael Jackson,’ he sings.

Then, hinting at his own self loathing, the surgery addict sings: ‘Just look in the mirror and tell me if you like what you see.’

R&B star Akon, who duets with Jacko on new single Hold My Hand, out on Sunday, said: ‘The world was not ready to hear Hold My Hand when it leaked a couple of years ago.

'Now in its final state, it has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song.’

The album is released on December 15.

Other Odd Things / New album advert with "Liberian Girl" pic
« on: November 23, 2010, 03:20:47 AM »
Hi guys,

Just thought I'd let you know of something odd I found.
I was browsing the iTunes store, which is an Apple program, and on the homepage there was an advertisement for MJ's new single and album and the picture they used was the same picture from the memorial of "Liberian Girl" with MJ behind the camera. I thought that surely this is something. Very odd! :D

This could even fit into the 'Racism' section but as whole I thought it would be more appropriate in here.

Our goal is to bring all Australians together to end the disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in one generation – our generation.

Quote
GenerationOne is a movement for all Australians - Indigenous and non-Indigenous. It is a non-partisan movement and will listen to any and all contributions that can help break the poverty traps, in our generation.
GenerationOne provides the opportunity for those who are already active to do more, and for those who have never participated in a campaign to play a simple role in achieving real change. It collaborates and promotes any other organisation that is doing good work in the fields of education, training, mentoring and employment.
GenerationOne is a not-for-profit organisation that was founded by Andrew and Nicola Forrest as a movement for change. Financial support was provided to create a movement that would show the importance of education, training, mentoring and employment as the best means for ending the disparity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. The Foundation Supporters were the Forrests, James Packer and Kerry Stokes with further significant support from the Lowy and Fox families. Almost all have been active in Indigenous employment already, but realise that real change only comes from all Australians getting involved.
GenerationOne works closely with our sister organisations - Australian Employment Covenant (AEC) which aims to gain commitments of 50,000 jobs for Indigenous Australians and the P-Plate program which links those AEC commitments with school children.

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if you have heard of Tourette Syndrome before. If you haven't heard of it before, click here:

I realize this is all Australian but as I am from there this is predominately what I could find. This is a disorder very close to home within myself and my family. I am at a young age and I am proud to say, in what was a decision made out of passion and L.O.V.E (which seems much more effective now because of the redirect), I recently have joined the committee of TSA Victoria to add a youthful perspective to all things Tourette as we try and put it on the health map. I hope to add fresh and new ideas as we push forward, this is all of course voluntary. I feel very proud to be spreading LOVE and not being paid for it. It feels so natural and you get such a warm feeling to know you're giving to a good cause.

With LOVE,
Nick.

Michael Jackson News / End of the world may be way off

END OF THE WORLD MAY BE WAY OFF

Theorists who believe the end of the world is nigh may need to find another ancient calendar on which to pin their apocalyptic hopes, according to reports.

There was good news for those who believed in the 2012 Mayan apocalypse: the Mayan "Long Count" calendar might not end on December 21, 2012, a report in LiveScience said.

"By extension, the world may not end along with it," the report said.

"The bad news for prophecy believers (is) if the calendar doesn't end in December 2012, no one knows when it actually will - or if it has already.

"A new critique, published as a chapter in the new textbook Calendars and Years II: Astronomy and Time in the Ancient and Medieval World, argues that the accepted conversions of dates from Mayan to the modern calendar may be off by as much as 50 or 100 years."

That would throw the 2012 apocalypse off by decades and cast doubt on the dates of historical Mayan events, LiveScience said.

"The Mayan calendar was converted to today's Gregorian calendar using a calculation called the GMT constant, named for the last initials of three early Mayanist researchers," the report said.

"Much of the work emphasised dates recovered from colonial documents that were written in the Mayan language in the Latin alphabet, according to the chapter's author, Gerardo Aldana."

"Later, the GMT constant was bolstered by American linguist and anthropologist Floyd Lounsbury, who used data in the Dresden Codex Venus Table, a Mayan calendar and almanac that charts dates relative to the movements of Venus."

Professor Aldana said Mr Lounsbury "took the position that his work removed the last obstacle to fully accepting the GMT constant".

"Others took his work even further, suggesting that he had proven the GMT constant to be correct," said Professor Aldana, from the University of California.

Professor Aldana said Mr Lounsbury's evidence was far from irrefutable.

"If the Venus Table cannot be used to prove the FMT as Lounsbury suggests, its acceptance depends on the reliability of the corroborating data," he said.

That historical data was less reliable than the table itself, causing the argument for the GMT constant to fall "like a stack of cards".

LiveScience said Professor Aldana did not have any answers as to what the correct calendar conversion might be, preferring to focus on why the current interpretation might be wrong.

Similarities between Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley
By Conrad Luznar

Michael Jackson "King of Pop",  Elvis Presley "King of Rock n Roll", have there ever been two male performers more dynamic than these two icons of the music world?   These were two entertainers with some similarities.  Both were catalysts which took American music to new heights.  Both grew up listening to and loving music.  Even though Michael Jackson started out in actual show business with his singing brothers at an earlier age than Elvis, it was their later teens and throughout their twenties which showed the metamorphisis which led them both to being labeled "King".

Both Elvis and Michael took off like a comet shooting through the heavens at a certain point in their careers.  These two entertainment greats could generate such love and loyalty from their fans, the likes of which is seldom seen.  Their careers had parallels in some similar ways with highs and lows and periods of doubt as to if they could continue to keep and impress their audiences.  But as true kings do, they both rose to the occasion and slew the dragons.  This is part of what made them so phenomenal.

Anyone who has been to an Elvis or Michael Jackson concert knows the unbelievable excitement and energy these stars created when they appeared somewhere.  They always played to packed houses of fiercely loyal fans.  If there were balconies near the stage you would always see women hanging over them reaching out to their idol.  People would stand on chairs, scream and yell their names.  It was an awesome frenzy indeed, brought on by two singers with unbelievable charisma, talent, and charm.  It started from the moment the opening act came out and lasted even after Elvis or Michael took their final bows.  Fans could not get enough of their King.

Both Elvis and Michael were gifted with extremely excellent voices, and both could move and dance.  Of the two you might rate Michael more of a dancer since he really did do a lot of dancing and also made videos with much dancing involved.  But never the less, Elvis could also bust a move.  While both were much adored, I have to give Elvis the edge on being a ladies man.  Of course his Hollywood career helped that a lot, but no matter what he did, ladies loved him.

Another similarity between the two was "Graceland" and "Neverland" both mansions well known to the public.  At these mansions the two "kings" lived, loved, played, and entertained...oh how so many fans would have loved the chance to be there with them.  Of course they both had their entourages at their mansions much of the time, every king needs his court.  Neverland was more of an amusement park type place, fashioned a little after Disneyland.  Graceland had a stable of horses out back and always some great cars and motorcycles around.  The main thing however was the mystique both of these mansions held, a place of awe for their fans.

Unfortunately, behind the scenes both of these superstars had their share of problems, lawsuits, and dark moments.  Their great fame seemed to have led both to a dependency on prescription drugs, which ultimately led to their downfall and eventual deaths at an early age.  But it is truly hard to judge them unless you walked a mile in their shoes and knew all the mitigating factors.  Many, many kings throughout the history of the world have had their share of problems, why should these guys be different?

The main thing is they left us a fantastic assortment of music to remember them by, and they never cheated fans in a show.  They both put their whole heart and soul into every show and left the fans more than entertained, each show was an experience of an entertainer who would only pass this way once.  And no matter how great the show was, it always left the fans wanting more.   The two boys of entertainment who would be "Kings" wowed us all.
