Other Odd Things / TII speech - Peter Pan.
« on: March 23, 2010, 04:16:12 PM »
Just something ive been thinking for a while..

quote from peter pan "To die would be an awfully great adventure"
Quote from TII "Its an adventure. Its a great adventure"

The adventure part doesnt make much sense in the speech (not that much of it does if he were talking to just the dancers)... until I thought of that.

What do you think.. ?  :?

Michael Jackson News / Kids to go with Grace? Public schooling??
« on: March 08, 2010, 11:11:47 AM »
With everything imploding inside the Jackson home, should Michael’s children be placed with another guardian? The insider says it’s not that simple.

“What are the options? Michael was very careful about who and what his children were exposed to,” said the source.

“They need someone who can be a constant for them…hopefully that person can be Grace [Jackson nanny Grace Rwaramba]. Her concern has always been for Michael and now it is for his children. She is absolutely dedicated to their well being.”

It has also be reported that the three kids might soon have a chance at a “normal” slice of childhood and it seems even their legal guardian Katherine, is considering sending the trio to a regular school this fall.

Currently the children are being homeschooled, while their cousins who also reside at the family’s Encino, California home attend school outside the compound. No decisions have been made as of yet."

Public schooling???!!! Have they gone insane???

Other Odd Things / Brooke Shields hoped for MJs Ressurection
« on: January 19, 2010, 12:10:59 PM »
Hollywood actress Brooke Shields says she really hoped that late pop legend Michael Jackson would jump out of his coffin while she spoke during his memorial service.

The actress fought hard to contain her grief when she gave an emotional speech at the public event held at the Los Angeles Staples Center to commemorate the King of Pop's life following his death from acute propofol intoxication last June and hoped he'd come out alive of the box.

"Did you see me shaking? Well, they didn't tell us that the coffin was going to be there. I thought - because there was a fantasy moment in my head - that he was going to jump out and start the concert," she said.

Shields, 44, who befriended Jackson when she was 13 also revealed that she hadn't been in touch with the "Thriller" hitmaker for a long time before his death, but often wanted to call him and offer her help.

"I had not only not spoken to him, I hadn't seen him in years," she said.

Asked if she had wanted to call him to offer her help, she said: "I did that, you know, 20 years ago. I mean the rhetoric didn't change, you know, I did that way back when, but anyway, I did my best."

The star was asked by Jackson's mother Katherine to give a speech at the service, but she ignored the words she was asked to deliver in favour of giving a more personal account of their friendship during her seven-minute address.

"They had written me out something. But I wrote my own thing and just had to do my own thing. I felt honoured to be a part of it," she said.

Other Odd Things / Randy was with Michael when he collapsed?
« on: December 26, 2009, 08:47:13 AM »
I have the book "Michael Jackson King Of Pop, 1958 - 2009" It says that "Michael's entourage had followed the ambulance...including his brother Randy who had also been with him when he collapsed."

Is this true? I did not know this....

Other Odd Things / A few thoughts on the 3 Michael Jackson programmes.
« on: December 23, 2009, 09:18:44 AM »
Just some things I picked up on during the three Michael programmeslast night...
These may be completely irrelevant but they just caught my attention...

1. The Culture Show - There was a man that was saying about Michael in the Black or White video when he turned into a black panter... "That was a message, that was no accident"

2. Dangerous tour. Live in Bucharest.
In an interview a while back I remembered Michael saying about them not having chairs in the stadiums because people would stand on them and it might be dangerous or something... I wondered then why they had sold out all the O2 seats including the seated areas where the chairs cant be moved from?? Wouldnt that be dangerous knowing how steep the sides of the arena are? (people have said its like standing on the edge of a cliff?)

3. Dangerous tour. Live in Bucharest.
At the end of the Beat It performance he does the same air punches as in the O2 conference. Any relevance??

4. Dangerous Tour. Live in Bucharest.
Where he leaves in the Jet Pack thing at the end... but its not really him...

5. TOTP2 - the songs.
Billie Jean... chased by photographer. Vanishes then reappears.
Rockin' Robin...Christmas ?
(I only saw the first part... dont know about any other songs  :( )

Probably very far fetched and irrelevant but just wondered what you all thought...

Other Odd Things / Xfactor & Sir Philip Green link?
« on: December 02, 2009, 04:54:58 PM »
Just wondering what you thought of this. I posted under Michael's family about this week being Michael Jackson week on xfactor and Janet Jackson is on the show.

Just found this...
"Simon Cowell plans global X Factor show"

"X Factor judge Simon Cowell plans to take the ITV talent show format to Las Vegas as part of a global internet venture, he has told GQ magazine.

The 50-year-old is teaming up with retail tycoon Sir Philip Green - who he says has "show business in his blood" - for the project.

Cowell said the pair planned to stage two shows a week which fans could watch online on a pay-per-view basis.

The pair are currently in talks with a major venue in Las Vegas.

Sir Philip, owner of the Arcadia Group - the firm behind Topshop and Miss Selfridge - told GQ: "We'll have a permanent place. The home of X Factor - live from Las Vegas.

"We'll have a store. And it'll be online.

"Vegas is tailor-made for this show. You get to the final 12, your dreams come true - you're going to sing in Vegas." "

Thi just struck me as it was Las Vegas and xfactor and there had been links between Michael and Simon with the Xfactor so i searched for connections between Sir Philip Green and Michael and found this...

"This has been a busy week for retail squillionaire Sir Philip Green.

On Monday he ran into Michael Jackson and took him for a midnight visit to Topshop, Oxford Circus. "It was no mad shop," he shrugged. "He just left with a couple of shirts and a jacket .... "

Are they friends?
What do you think?
