Eliza Presley's Lawsuit Is Back In Court
We've written extensively about the efforts by Eliza Presley to prove that she is half-sister to Elvis Presley and daughter to Vernon Presley, based on DNA and other evidence. Much of this same evidence also supports Eliza's claim that Elvis Presley is actually alive. You can get caught up to speed starting here, if you haven't followed this case before. It's been more than a year since we last wrote that Eliza's case was dismissed on jurisdictional grounds. This meant that the court in which she filed her lawsuit was not able to hear the case; rather, the case had to go to a different court. Because of this and other legal hurdles, Eliza has never had her "day in court" to present her evidence to a judge or jury. As we wrote then, Eliza was at the end of her road -- emotionally and financially -- and was not able to continue with the case. Trying to re-write the history books, which is what Eliza was literally trying to do, is no easy task. This is especially true when there are those who will go to extraordinary means to try to stop her. Eliza has recently contacted us again and informed us that she has been able to restart the lawsuit, due in large part to previously undisclosed information her legal team received about Vernon Presley. But, she was forced to try a different legal approach this time. Unfortunately, Eliza is not able to disclose exactly where her case is proceeding or how. She said she is relieved that she can finally finish what she started. Eliza was able to share this redacted letter from her attorney that disclosed something quite interesting about her case: A third court proceeding has been started ... Ms. Presley intends to re-file in Probate Court in Tennessee ... She believes strongly that she should be recognized as Vernon Elvis Presley's child, and that she should be allowed to claim her share of the four separate trusts he left as his "unknown heirs" due to her adoption at birth. [You can read the letter here] The part about the trusts is particularly intriguing. With Vernon Presley's estate having been disbursed so long ago, it would be very difficult for Eliza to claim a share of his estate, even if she successfully proves that her DNA and other evidence are legit. But, with one or more trusts -- including shares for "unknown heirs" -- that could change the landscape entirely. It all depends on how the trusts are worded and what exactly was put into the trusts for the "unknown heirs." It's quite unusual for someone to leave money for "unknown heirs." To the contrary, most people of wealth -- especially celebrities -- would do the opposite and exclude claims of any unknown heirs. Eliza Presley believes that Vernon Presley intentionally included this provision knowing that he had a daughter out there, whose identity he didn't know, because he wanted her to inherit something. Eliza is still saddened by the fact she was denied the chance to ever meet or have a relationship with her father. She and her team are working on a special video tribute for Vernon Presley that will be released on Father's Day. Eliza tells us the video will reflect on her father's life and put all questions to rest about her legal battle. She says it will be posted onto her personal YouTube page on Father's Day, June 17. What’s interesting to notice imo is that they used the maximum characters allowed on twitter and that they could have left the letter “N” on “Lovin” as the apostrophe counts as a character anyway. They could even have removed the coma after “Yes” and write “Loving”. Totally done on purpose!

Dr. Klein's lawyer, Herbert Weinberg, advised the dermatologist on November 30, via letter, that he would no longer be representing him for the California Medical Board proceedings. The letter states: "Please be advised that our company is withdrawing as your counsel. We urge you to obtain counsel as soon as possible, as you have been subpoenaed to appear before the Medical Board on December 15, 2011. Failure to appear may result in the Medical Board petitioning the administrative courts for suspension of your license to practice." During Dr. Conrad Murray's involuntary manslaughter trial in connection with the death of Michael Jackson, it was revealed that Dr. Klein gave Jackson staggering amounts of the powerful painkiller, Demerol when he would get Botox injections. Dr. Klein didn't testify during Murray's trial, but Jackson's medical records while under his care were presented by Murray’s defense. Over a three day period in April 2009, Jackson received a whopping 775 milligrams of Demerol. The California Medical Board wouldn't comment on what Dr. Klein will be questioned about. Dr. Klein's lawyer, Garo Ghazarian didn't immediately respond to comment. Witness in Conrad Murray trial fined $250 for disobeying judgeNovember 16, 2011 | 11:11 am ![]() Dr. Paul White A judge on Wednesday ordered the star defense expert in the trial of Michael Jackson’s personal physician to pay a $250 fine for flouting court instructions that he not mention private conversations with the doctor on the witness stand. Dr. Paul White, a prominent anesthesiology researcher who testified that Jackson caused his own fatal overdose, apologized at a hearing for making the statement during testimony last month. He said he was an inexperienced witness who became confused about what he was allowed to tell jurors. “I was trying to walk a very fine line between telling everything I knew honestly and openly before the court and not delving into things I came to know as the result of 10 or 11 hours of conversation with Dr. [Conrad] Murray,” White told Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor. A jury convicted Murray of involuntary manslaughter last week for providing Jackson with the surgical anesthetic, propofol, which killed the singer. White was warned before taking the stand by defense lawyers that he could not tell jurors what Murray told him and should refer only to information contained in a police interview. During a contentious cross-examination, White repeatedly referenced his talks with Murray despite warnings from the judge and prosecutor. The final straw came when White replied to a question from Deputy Dist. Atty. David Walgren by saying: “I was asked by the judge not to comment on anything I had learned from speaking to Dr. Murray.” At the hearing Wednesday, Walgren blasted White for “deliberately trying to sabotage” the trial, a remark the judge dismissed as “hyperbole.” Pastor found White in contempt but said that after hearing the expert’s explanation, he had decided to reduce the fine from $1,000 to $250. The judge also said he had decided not to find White in contempt for allegedly calling a prosecution expert a “scumbag.” White had denied the accusation, and the judge said he had determined it did not constitute contempt of court. Lawsuit to Block Payment to Doc![]() A cardiology equipment company has filed a lawsuit against MSNBC and others, claiming the network should pay off a debt Dr. Conrad Murray owes them before the doctor gets a red cent for his participation in the documentary. Digirad Imaging Solutions is a California company that obtained a $147,075 judgment against Murray because he didn't pay his bills. Digirad claims MSNBC, Zodiak Media Group -- the producer of the documentary -- and others might be paying Murray for the documentary, and Digirad wants its cut from the defendants before they pay the doc. Debbie Franklin, a 48-year-old mother of two from Temple City, Calif., was the juror who, on Monday, rung the buzzer three times in the Los Angeles courtroom where Murray had sat on trial for the past six weeks to alert the judge and the world that a verdict had been reached. "Our hearts were pounding to go out there," Franklin told "Good Morning America," of the moment she and the other jurors emerged from eight hours of deliberations to issue a guilty verdict for Murray that could send him to prison for up to four years. The jury convicted Murray of involuntary manslaughter in the 2009 drug-overdose death of the King of Pop. Prosecutors alleged that Murray supplied an insomnia-plagued Jackson with the powerful operating-room anesthetic propofol to help him sleep as he rehearsed for his "This Is It" comeback tour. Franklin says she and the other jurors believe Jackson, who was 50, would "absolutely" be alive today if not for Murray. "Conrad Murray did it," she said. "Conrad Murray agreed to be the one to go into the bedroom and do this. He [Jackson] was looking for somebody to say yes, and Conrad Murray said yes." Prosecutors portrayed Murray, 58, as a negligent doctor who gave the singer what he wanted, the drug propofol, at home in Jackson's bedroom without the necessary safeguards and care when things went wrong. "I thought they did an excellent job," Franklin said of the prosecution. "They were ready for every witness. The questioning went from beginning to end. Nothing seemed to sidetrack them." Franklin says there were three factors presented in the trial that led the jury to a guilty verdict for Murray. "The three biggest things for us were the 911 call, not calling 911. That was a big issue, and not having the medical equipment in the room to put somebody under sedation and leaving the room," she said. While the jury was nearly unanimous from the trial's start that Murray played a role in Jackson's death, not everyone was convinced the doctor was solely responsible, Franklin said. Murray, who did not testify in his trial, told police that he administered only a small dose on the day Jackson died. His lawyers blamed Jackson for his own death, saying the singer injected himself with an ultimately lethal dose of the drug while Murray was out of the room. "Even if Michael Jackson injected himself, which I don't think we believed, but, we felt, even if he did, that wouldn't have mattered because Conrad Murray brought the situation there," she said. "He was the doctor. He was in charge." Jackson's behavior was barely a consideration, despite the fact that Franklin believes "he had a lot of issues... I believe he had addictions or dependence." But the argument that the pop singer's addiction led to his own death was not enough to sway Franklin, or the other jurors. "I really think they didn't have a lot to work with," she said of Murray's defense team. "They tried to do what they could with what they had." Although the jury came to a verdict fairly quickly, it was not easy for the seven men and five women. "We took a vote and it was not unanimous, so we said let's think about it over the weekend and talk about it on Monday," she said of the jury's first day of deliberations on Friday. There was an addiction to Demerol in 2001 in ... the early 2000s but that was because of pain. Even during the autopsy report there was no addiction to any of that. Michael just wanted to sleep. He did not want to die. He trusted the doctor and the negligence and everything. It's really sad because we lost an incredible person. To see and hear the verdict ... My mother cried and we consoled her and the fans were cheering and everything but it's not bringing Michael back. We lost a brother." I think the sentencing was very soft. I mean, you would probably do more time if you stole. If you went into the hospital and stole cases of Propofol you would probably do more time then. And to give him two years for taking a life? Forget about Michael Jackson, but taking anyone's life. But it happens to be my brother who loved the world and loved people and did so much for the world ... He cared about people, human beings, children." Ellen: "Well, clearly we all lost somebody great. That we all have feelings about and memories attached but the fact that a doctor, someone we trust like you said, could be allowed to ever possibly get their license back after something like that. Beat it -- or not -- Vegas to unveil Michael Jackson slot machineBy Michael Martinez, CNN October 1, 2011 -- Updated 2243 GMT (0643 HKT) Los Angeles (CNN) -- As the trial surrounding Michael Jackson's death gets underway, Las Vegas is about to make a revelation of its own: A Michael Jackson slot machine, to be unveiled next week. It's just a coincidence that the release of the Michael Jackson King of Pop slot game on Tuesday is occurring along with the trial of the performer's physician, Conrad Murray, who's charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death, said a spokesman for Bally Technologies. The Los Angeles trial, exposing stark details of Jackson's last moments, began this past week. With iconic images of his sequined glove and dancing shoes, the Jackson slot machine exemplifies state-of-the-art gaming, with a surround-sound chair that even vibrates to the pop legend's music, the manufacturer said. The machine also has four high-definition screens for wagering and displaying his videos such as "Beat It." A University of Nevada Las Vegas gaming analyst who reviewed the machine Friday predicted it is "going to be a popular game for a lot of people" -- though it is "unfortunate" that the game is being unveiled during the manslaughter trial, the analyst said. Another expert on Vegas gaming noted how slot machines are programmed to guarantee a return for casinos. "Slot machines generally speaking are the most profitable for the casino, and they are the most cynical in their design," said Marc Cooper, an associate journalism professor at the University of Southern California and author of "The Last Honest Place in America: Paradise and Perdition in the New Las Vegas." "That the manufacturers of these machines would extend the cynicism from math to popular icons should not be surprising to anybody," Cooper said. The Jackson game is being introduced Tuesday at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas. Bally plans to show 150 games in total, with the Jackson slot machine among its top features, the firm said. Bally executives said Saturday that the timing was accidental. "We started the process about a year ago," said Mike Mitchell, vice president of game design at Bally, adding that's when the firm negotiated the licensing of Jackson's music and videos with several parties, including Jackson's family and estate. The game will be in casinos by early 2012, he said. Added Bally spokesman Mike Trask, referring to the manslaughter trial: "It's a sad story for everybody. No matter what you think of Michael Jackson and what you think of everything going on, there's no question that he was an amazing entertainer and he was an icon of American pop culture. The game emphasizes an immersion experience in which players sit in a chair with Jackson's music piped into speakers behind the headrest, and the tunes are intensified with subwoofers and thumpers, said Bally video game designer David Schultz. The music list is composed of six songs: "Billie Jean," "Beat It," "Smooth Criminal," "Bad," "Dirty Diana" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough," according to Bally. The game is designed so that during bonus rounds, Jackson's sequin glove shows the player where to touch the screen to spin a gaming wheel, designed like an album, to try to win a credit, Bally spokesmen said. A celebrating Jackson also moonwalks across the screen and gives the player wild symbols, spokesmen said. The game targets people who grew up to MTV and recall Jackson's original videos, Bally executives said. "These were groundbreakers, and they still hold up," said Bally game producer Chris Guerrero about the Jackson videos. "It's amazing to watch them each and every time." Said Trask: "The person who was 18 when 'Beat It' came out is now 40 and now has more discretionary income and is excited about this game." The minimum bet is 40 cents, with a maximum of $4, Bally officials said. Because the game will be networked with other Jackson machines across Nevada -- a so-called wide-area progressive game -- the jackpots will start at $750,000 and extend into the millions, Bally officials said. Mitchell deemed the game a "blockbuster." "We think the Michael Jackson brand, along with the energy and entertainment value, combined with the jackpot, will give us a huge hit," Mitchell said. Schwartz, director of the center for gaming research at University of Nevada at Las Vegas, said the game is being rolled out just as the global audiences are watching the televised manslaughter trial and learning the stark circumstances of Jackson's death. The Death of Bin Laden Means Terrorism Will Go NuclearKevin Boyle – No One To Vote For May 2, 2011 People, as our ‘protectors’ in the CIA know, will believe just about anything. Osama Bin Laden was introduced to us all as a central player in the narrative that brought us ‘The War On Terror’. It is important to understand that history is carefully scripted in advance by the agencies of international finance capital. It doesn’t matter if the narrative is true or false (actually ‘The War On Terror’ is, in all important aspects, false). What is important is that we, the dumb masses, are given a good story in which to believe. It’s all about the narrative. Well, now that the central baddie no longer has a role to play in our narrative, we can surely expect that the globalist story-tellers are ready with a new script. What seasoned CIA watchers will sensibly ask and what everyone else would be wise to start asking is this: “Does the ‘death’ of Bin Laden today signal a summer of nuclear terrorism in the United States?” The chaos is mounting. International Law is now a joke, a dead duck. The Middle East has been turned, more than ever before, into a seething cauldron. China is sitting back for now, while it watches its investments in Eastern Libya turn to dust. It understands that the west is determined to drive it out of Africa. Russia watches while Syria, and its deal with the Syrians to establish a naval base in the Mediterranean, falls apart. China is beginning to refuse to buy American debt so the dollar will shortly collapse. What better event to coincide with financial collapse than an act of nuclear terrorism at home. An immediate war footing would guarantee immediate recovery of the currency albeit, possibly, a new one. This ‘Bin Laden Is Dead’ bullsh*t should scare the pants of every intelligent human being who has been paying serious attention over the last few years. Nearly every news bulletin and current affairs programme will be endlessly asking the question: “Will Al Queda take revenge for the killing of Bin Laden?” When they (the CIA/Mossad/MI6 as usual) strike, the familiar traitors will be wheeled on to our screens to say, “We told you so.” Pray to God this is wrong, but it is hard to see any other consequence of today’s news, nor any other reason for the CIA to go to all the trouble to carry out this operation and concoct this lying story to go with it when everybody knows (outside of the idiot-zone) that Bin Laden is already a long time dead. The extent to which the theatre of the coming conflict is co-ordinated between western powers, China and Russia is unknown. However, it is looking increasingly like we are watching a full-on world war in the making. The fact that nobody wants this yet it seems to be coming tells us, yet again (if we still need telling), that our elected governments act in the interests of parties other than ourselves. Therefore ‘our’ government is the primary enemy of ‘we the people’. It seems unbelievable but there you are. The More Americans That Go On Food Stamps The More Money JP Morgan MakesJP Morgan is the largest processor of food stamp benefits in the United States. JP Morgan has contracted to provide food stamp debit cards in 26 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. JP Morgan is paid for each case that it handles, so that means that the more Americans that go on food stamps, the more profits JP Morgan makes. Yes, you read that correctly. When the number of Americans on food stamps goes up, JP Morgan makes more money. In the video posted below, JP Morgan executive Christopher Paton admits that this is "a very important business to JP Morgan" and that it is doing very well. Considering the fact that the number of Americans on food stamps has exploded from 26 million in 2007 to 43 million today, one can only imagine how much JP Morgan's profits in this area have soared. But doesn't this give JP Morgan an incentive to keep the number of Americans enrolled in the food stamp program as high as possible? There are just some things that are a little too "creepy" to be "outsourced" to private corporations. The JP Morgan executive in the interview below does his best to put a positive spin on all this, but it just seems really unsavory for a big Wall Street bank to be making so much money off of the suffering of tens of millions of Americans.... Well, apparently not. In the interview Paton says that 40% of food stamp recipients are currently working, and he seems convinced that there could be further "growth" in that segment. So is this what America is turning into? A place where tens of millions of the unemployed and the working poor crawl over to Wal-Mart and the dollar store every month to use the food stamp debit cards provided to them by JP Morgan? It turns out that JP Morgan also provides child support debit cards in 15 U.S. states and they also provide unemployment insurance benefit debit cards in seven states. Apparently states have found that they can save millions of dollars by "outsourcing" the provision of these benefits to big financial firms like JP Morgan. So what happens if you have a problem with your food stamp debit card? Well, you call up a JP Morgan service center. When you do this, there is a very good chance that you are going to be helped by a JP Morgan call center employee in India. That's right - it turns out that JP Morgan is saving money by "outsourcing" food stamp customer service calls to India. When ABC News asked JP Morgan about this, the company would not tell ABC News which states have customer service calls sent to India and which states have them handled inside the United States.... JP Morgan is the only one today still operating public-assistance call centers overseas. The company refused to say which states had calls routed to India and which ones had calls stay domestically. That decision, the company said, was often left up to the individual states. JP Morgan has been moving some of these call center jobs back inside the United States due to political pressure, but this whole situation is a really good example of what the "global economy" is doing to middle class Americans. Just try to imagine the irony - a formerly middle class American that has lost a job to outsourcing calls up to get help with food stamp benefits only to be answered by a call center employee in India. Welcome to the global economy, eh? But wait, there is more. It has just been announced that JP Morgan has admitted that they wrongly foreclosed on over a dozen military families and that they have been overcharging "thousands" of other military families on their mortgages. Ouch. It is a really bad public relations move to mess with military families. Is anyone over at JP Morgan even paying attention? JP Morgan has also been one of the primary financial institutions involved in the foreclosure "robo-signing" scandal. They just seem to be having all kinds of problems lately. But they are not alone. The truth is that we have gotten to the point where big Wall Street banks such as JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Citibank and Morgan Stanley just have way, way too much power. The biggest Wall Street financial institutions had no trouble begging for bailouts from the U.S. government during the financial crisis, but when the American people have needed a little grace and mercy from them they have been less than helpful. What the Media Does Not Say About the Anti-Iran Leaks by Muhammad Sahimi, December 07, 2010 Email This | Print This | Share This | Antiwar Forum The most intensely debated documents released by WikiLeaks last week were about what some of the Arab rulers think of Iran and its nuclear program. According to the documents, many of the Arab leaders have been privately urging the United States to attack Iran while publicly claiming that they oppose such attack. In an April 2008 cable, Adel A. al-Jubeir, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the U.S., is quoted regarding Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah and his “frequent exhortations to the U.S. to attack Iran and thus put an end to its nuclear weapon program,” urging the U.S. “to cut off the head of the snake.” United Arab Emirates (UAE) Defense Minister Prince Mohammed bin Zayed is quoted in a July 2009 memo as saying that “[Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad is Hitler” and urging the U.S. not to “appease” Iran, echoing the views of Israel’s Likud Party. King Hamad of Bahrain, where the headquarters of the U.S. 5th Fleet is located, is quoted in a November 2009 cable as saying, “That program [Iran's nuclear program] must be stopped. The danger of letting it go on is greater than the danger of stopping it.” Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri is quoted in an August 2006 cable as saying, “Iraq [invasion] was unnecessary. Iran [invasion] is necessary.” Zaid Al Rifai, the head of Jordan’s Senate and the father of its prime minister, is quoted as saying, “Bomb Iran, or live with an Iranian bomb. Sanctions, carrots, incentives won’t matter.” That the Arab rulers are hostile to Iran is not news to Iranians. The hostility is centuries-old. What is disturbing is that the U.S. mainstream media has used such private sentiments to advance the narrative that the neoconservatives, the Israel lobby, and the War Party have developed about Iran, namely, that Iran is a threat to the non-existent stability of the Middle East and non-existent “peace process” between Israel and the Palestinians, and that its non-existent nuclear weapons program is a security threat to the U.S. allies in that region and beyond. That those Arab rulers do not dare to make the same statement publicly because that would make them Israel’s bedfellows, not to mention the fact that Iran’s tough stance on Israel is hugely popular with the Arab masses, only indicates the utter dishonesty of such U.S. allies. But the mainstream media has also demonstrated its moral bankruptcy by failing to talk about the huge gap between the sentiments of the masses and their rulers in the Islamic world regarding Iran’s nuclear program, Iran’s stance toward Israel, the nature of the Arab regimes that are supposedly allies of the U.S., and the likely consequences of military attacks on Iran. That is because the mainstream media wishes to hide the truths that may destroy the pro-war narrative on Iran. To begin with, the mainstream media fails to point out that almost all the Arab nations whose rulers have advocated military attacks on Iran are ruled by unpopular and corrupt dictatorships or autocratic regimes that are supported by the U.S. Saudi Arabia is run by a medieval system in which women have almost no rights and the citizens enjoy no political freedom. Bahrain is an island nation in which the Shi’ites that make up a very large majority of the population are suppressed harshly by the ruling Sunnis. The government of Bahrain has even been importing Sunni Arabs and quickly granting them citizenship in order to increase the number of the Sunnis. The UAE, a nation that consists of seven absolute monarchies, is ruled by a corrupt Arab tribe, and was created by the British Empire in 1971. To see the duplicity of its rulers just keep in mind that the UAE has a bogus claim on the ownership of three islands in the Persian Gulf, the Greater and Lesser Tunb and Abu Mousa, that have been part of Iran for at least 1,000 years, while at the same time enriching itself through the lucrative commerce that it has been enjoying with Iran and the $400 billion that Iranian expatriates have invested there over the last decade. An extensive poll taken by the Brookings Institution last August clearly indicates that, contrary to their ruling dictators, the Arab masses support Iran’s nuclear program. They even support Iran having nuclear weapons, considering that possibility as positive for the Middle East because it would balance Israel’s arsenal, and they consider Israel and the U.S., not Iran, as the biggest threats to peace and stability in the region. In advancing the pro-war narrative on Iran, the mainstream media has also completely forgotten that one of the main reasons for the terrorism committed by the radicals of the Middle East against the West, and in particular the U.S., is the close association of the Arab regimes with the U.S. and the support that they receive. It fails to point out the following: * 15 of the 19 terrorists who attacked the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001, were from Saudi Arabia, two from Egypt, and one each from Lebanon and the UAE. * Not a single Iranian has been implicated in any terrorist attacks on the United States for at least two decades, and even when Iran has been accused of being involved, no proofs has been presented to the public. * The Taliban – bloody enemies of Iran – are in fact the former Afghan mujahedin who were funded by Saudi Arabia, armed by the CIA, and trained by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and they came to power in Afghanistan in 1996 with ISI support. Leaked cables indicate that the U.S. is still worried about ISI support for the Taliban. * It was Iran – not Saudi Arabia and the other Arab governments – that provided significant support to the U.S. to overthrow the Taliban in 2001, and in fact it was the Northern Alliance, an Afghan group armed and supported by Iran, that entered Kabul and overthrew the Taliban, not the U.S. Army. * Iran played a crucial role in the formation of Afghanistan’s national unity government in December 2001. * The Shi’ite groups that are now in power in Iraq and are touted by the U.S. as models of democratic parties in the Middle East were suppressed by Saddam Hussein during the 1980s when the U.S. was supporting Iraq in its war with Iran, and it was Iran that gave these groups refuge and armed and trained them. * It is the rich and conservative Arabs of the Persian Gulf who provide funding to Islamic schools – the madrassas – in Pakistan that are breeding grounds for training radicals that eventually carry out attacks on the U.S. and its allies. * It is Saudi Arabia that supports terrorist groups such as Jundallah that carry out terrorist attacks inside Iran, and the Salafi and Wahhabi sects of Sunnism, both emanating from Saudi Arabia, provide the ideology for the radical terrorists. * It is Saudi Arabia that by siding with Saddam Hussein during his war with Iran and with the Sunnis after he was overthrown by the U.S. has contributed much to war and misery in the Middle East. The vast majority of the fighters of al-Qaeda in Iraq were from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt. * The same Saad Hariri quoted in the cable visited Iran two weeks ago and called for a defense pact with Iran. The mainstream media does not even mention that when the Arab rulers call for bombing Iran, they also state that it should only be done if there is a just solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, because the media is interested in one and only one subject: advancing the anti-Iran narrative that is advocated by the neoconservatives, the War Party, and the Israel lobby. The mainstream media also fails to educate the public about the likely consequences of a war with Iran. It does not tell the public that Iran is not Iraq or Afghanistan, that any war with Iran will quickly spread throughout the Middle East and quite possibly well beyond, that it will destroy the economy of the West, and that it may eventually lead to World War III.
