Joe Jackson FLASHED A HANDGUN to a room full of people at a recent event in Vegas ... and told the crowd it's just like an American Express card ... he doesn't leave home without it.

The bizarre moment all went down while Joe was at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino in Vegas this weekend to be honored at the Black Music Awards (apparently that's a thing).

Joe was introduced by his friend -- Majestik -- who told the crowd a story about Joe confronting Michael Jackson's bodyguards two weeks before MJ's death.

During the alleged confrontation, Majestik says Joe flashed his gun at the guards and said -- "If I hear you all givin' my son drugs or doing anything illegal with my son ... I'ma kill all of you."

When Majestik turned the mic over to Joe -- JJ corroborated the story ... saying, "It's very true. Every word he said."

Then Joe told the crowd ... "I carry a piece everywhere I go ... I'm gonna show it to you."

Joe proceeded to open up his suit jacket, revealing a handgun holstered by his hip. Joe explained, "I've been threatened a lot of times and so I need to be safe."

We reached out to Joe to see if he is even legally allowed to pack heat -- but so far, we have yet to hear back.

On Thursday 23rd June 2011, @DeborahFfrench said:

Today, June 22, 2011, Dr Patrick Treacy gave this profoundly moving speech at the Gardner St Elementary School that Michael once attended and that now proudly once again displays his name on its auditorium.

Dr Treacy's Speech:

Fifty three years ago, a young black boy was born in a small town in Indiana. This was a different time, a time when the African-American Civil Rights Movement tried to gain freedom from oppression by white Americans.

It was also a time when the next generation of post-war Americans were growing up, the sons of soldiers who had freed prisoners from the tyranny of prison camps like Auswitch and Buchenwald, a time when all of Europe was filled with a profound and abiding gratitude to the American people.

As Elie Wiesel, a survivor of the Jewish Holocaust said in a speech to an important gathering of White House dignitaries in 1999 'Gratitude is what defines the humanity of the human being'.

And gratitude is what we should now have today for that young American black boy. His name was Michael Jackson, someone I am privileged to call my friend, somebody who often stood alone to fend for the children in the world, for the destitute, for the victims of disease and injustice.

Michael was very troubled by the suffering he saw in the world and even more to the indifference to it. His first words to me when we met were

'Thank you so much for helping the people of Africa'.

There were no airs and graces, no pomp and circumstance and his only concern was for the lives of other people who lived on a different continent than the one in which either of us were born.

I had been to Africa and seen the devastation of the plague of HIV at first hand and when we discussed it, there was tears in his eyes and he said we had to do something together for the people of Africa.

He planned to hold a great concert in Rwanda and we would fly there together in his private plane and then down to see his great friend, Nelson Mandela. Sadly, these events were not to happen and the world lost one of its great humanitarians.

In that speech, Elie Wiesel had also some words to say about indifference. He said ‘To be indifferent to the suffering in the world is what makes the human being inhuman’.

For the person who is indifferent, his or her neighbour is of no consequence. Their lives are meaningless as indifference reduces the other to an abstraction. Indifference always benefits the aggressor -- never his victim, whose pain is magnified when he or she feels forgotten.

Michael Jackson felt that pain, not just for the hungry children, but for himself when the people of America remained indifferent to the injustice that was perpetrated upon him making him a virtual prisoner in his own land, causing him to flee to the Middle East and eventually find solitude in Ireland, my home.

What an irony that someone who cared so much about the rest of humanity was rejected by his own. It was a pain he felt deeply and one that on occasion he discussed with me, but mostly he did not want to talk about it and I never opened those painful memories …being like him, exiles beyond the norm.

Michael Jackson was never indifferent. He brought light where there was darkness, hope where there was despair; he never turned away from cruelty when he could give compassion.

We have just started a new century, a new millennium. The first ten years have been some of the most brutal the planet has ever encountered. The century started with terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon. These actions dragged this great nation into conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. There have been wars in over twenty countries, which cast a dark shadow over humanity: So much violence, so much pain…..

If there is one thing to do today, to preserve Michael Jackson's memory --- that is not be remain indifferent to the suffering we see all around us in the World.

There are times when I feel God has abandoned this world, the terrible earthquake in Haiti where bodies were cut from building by hacksaw, the funeral undertakers in Zambia where the coffin-makers work banging nails in wood late into the night, the streets of Northern Ireland where throats are cut for pronouncing a word on a beer bottle with the wrong accent.

I have lived in Baghdad, I have been a prisoner of Saddam Hussein, I carry the war wounds of Northern Ireland and I say to you here today that there is a God who looks down on all of this wrong and he brought us Michael Jackson to help to solve it….

Over seventy years ago a ship with a human cargo of one thousand Jews -- was turned away from the port of St. Louis back to Nazi Germany. The ship, which was already on the shores of the United States, was sent back and the people left to the fate of the dictator.

This happened in America, a country with the greatest democracy, the most generous of all new nations in modern history. It is happening again today, with the bombing and terrorization of innocent children on foreign shores. Don’t let it happen, stand up for the things Michael stood for, to wipe out injustice, to combat disease and try and save the planet we live in.

What will the legacy of Michael Jackson? How will he be remembered by generations as yet unborn?

Let's be grateful to God that he sent us such an angel to live amongst us for a while and let us not be indifferent to the wrongs we see around us. If Michael ever wanted us to do one thing that would make him happy as he looks down over us today it would be not to turn away from the victims of oppression and aggression and if in doubt about ever knowing what how to act....just think

….'What Would Michael Do?'

Posted on twitter  posted for those who may not have seen this.  And I have to say that this is a wonderful speech which needs to get to a much larger audience, it is such a positive speach about Michael.

50 Cent Suspect -- We Just Wanted to Get Wasted
12/22/2010 12:20 AM PST by TMZ Staff

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The guys who were arrested inside 50 Cent's Connecticut mega-mansion weren't trying to steal anything -- they just wanted to get hammered in the lap of luxury ... at least that's what they're telling people.

TMZ spoke with the sister of Alexander Hernandez -- the guy who was found drinking wine in Fiddy's closet when cops arrived yesterday -- who tells us Alexander is claiming he and the other suspect just wanted to "hang out" at 50's place because they're both huge fans.

She adds ... Hernandez is claiming he never tried to steal anything from inside the house -- they only wanted the "thrill" of getting inside.

As we previously reported, cops say both men were inside Fiddy's pad -- and in possession of weed -- when police responded to the home.

Alexader's sister also tells us family members are concerned about her brother -- because he's still in police custody and could possibly miss his newborn baby's first Christmas.

Joe Jackson Compromises Wrongful Death Claim
34 minutes ago by TMZ Staff

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joe Jackson may have just dug himself a hole to China during a TV appearance in Brazil ... by telling the host Michael Jackson "never supported me."

During the interview on "Hoje em Dia," the interviewer incorrectly said, "According to TMZ, you were being supported by Michael."  Joe responded, "No, he never supported me."

The statement flies in the face of his claim in the Michael Jackson Estate case ... that Michael did indeed support him -- which is why Joe asked for an allowance.

Even more serious for Joe, by admitting MJ never supported him, it could severely compromise his wrongful death lawsuit against Dr. Conrad Murray.  Joe's statement could severely limit his monetary claim, because now he can't show he lost money when Michael died.

TMZ previously reported, Michael didn't support his dad, but he gave Katherine $50,000 - $66,000 a month ... and she would then use that money to pay for Joe's living expenses.

Michael also cut Joe out of his will.

Other Odd Things / SCIENTOLOGY - LISA MARIE AND MJ CONNECTION
« on: September 29, 2010, 04:40:08 AM »
I was watching a BBC documentary yesterday evening (link below), what disturbed me as much as anything was the amount of pyramids symbolism in the Scientology Logos (Illuminatti Links  :?:  )  which I had never considered before, and the way the "religeon" is carried out, the confessions which are video taped, the way people are followed and controlled!  It was most disturbing.  Did this happen to Michael when he married Lisa Marie, did they try to get him into Scientology and to control him, when he and Lisa parted, if what we were shown on the TV is true, once they were no longer married Lisa would not be allowed to contact him

Before watching this programme I had no knowledge of Scientology at all and it made me feel  :o     It really made me begin to wonder.  :?

Jackson's Ex-Manager Demanding To See Financial Records
MICHAEL JACKSON's one-time manager and adviser DR. TOHME TOHME has filed legal papers demanding to see the late star's financial records to aid his creditor's claim.

Tohme alleges he is owed millions of dollars from Jackson's estate after organising a deal to save the late Thriller hitmaker from financial ruin.

He insists he persuaded bosses at Colony Capital LLC to hand over $23 million (£15.3 million) to save Jackson's Neverland ranch - but he was never rewarded for his efforts.

Tohme, who is demanding the $2.3 million (£1.5 million) Jackson allegedly promised him, is now stepping up his bid by asking for the singer's financial documents be made public.

On Tuesday (28Sep10), Tohme's lawyers filed papers arguing he and other creditors should have access to a report that was filed by Jackson's estate administrators last week (end26Sep10), which details the singer's finances.

Tohme is requesting to see revenue, expense and profit information that is not publicly available, reports the Associated Press

Joe Jackson / Katherine is to Divorce Joe ?

MICHAEL JACKSON'S MUM AND DAD SPLIT AFTER 60 YEARS
ABOVE: Katherine is fed up with Joe's behaviour over Michael Jackson's death 19th August 2010 By Steve HughesMICHAEL Jackson’s parents are splitting up after more than 60 years of marriage.

It was said mum Katherine has “finally had enough” of dad Joe’s behaviour.

Katherine, 80, has filed for divorce after cruel Joe, who abused Jacko as a child, blamed his wife for the death of their son in an interview.

Speaking about the months leading up to the Michael Jackson's death, outspoken Joe, 81, said of his wife: “I begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy.”

The betrayal is said to be the last straw for Katherine, who won sole custody of Jackson’s children Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and “Blanket”, eight, following the singer’s shock death last June at the age of 50.

A long time family friend said: “After 60 years, she’s had enough. She’s been humiliated by him for too long.”

Speaking about Joe’s latest interview, the friend added: “She’s absolutely livid. This time there’s no going back.”

Katherine has been living with family in Encino, California while Joe has been staying in a flat in Las Vegas and spending nights out at seedy joints on the infamous Strip. Until now Katherine has refused to consider divorce because “as a Jehovah’s Witness, she believes that a marriage is for ever,” said the insider.

But the years of humiliation, which reportedly included Joe fathering a lovechild, have taken their toll on Katherine.
In the 1960s Joe managed The Jackson 5, the band made up of his five sons Jackie, 59, Tito, 56, Jermaine, 55, Marlon, 53, and Michael.

In the 1980s it emerged he hit his sons if rehearsals went badly.
