I know I'm late on this but the close ups was an impersonator and other times it looked like MJ (to me).  They purposely kept distance at times which I thought was strange.  When they did that, I think it was MJ. :)
we saw the same thing.

for anyone that know about holograms & cgi's  would either cause a reflection on the floor.  i could see the reflection of his & the dancers feet?  at one point also his jacket.

just watched the performance several more times.  i have to admit the more i watch, the more i appreciate it.  i am still seeing 2 different faces, imo.  the dance routines are simple and not as smooth & fluent as that of a younger person,  ( u would think if it's not real make it as best u can)  i thought the moonwalk was messed up but it seems like it's changed.  the beat seems 1, 2, 1, 1-2, 1, 1-2.  but, the movement with the rhythm is on point, but stiffer ( i know what that's like  :icon_rolleyes:)  i love that with mj, his being in sync with every bing, bam & boom of a beat.  i have to admit at the end when he sat down and propped his leg across the arm of the chair, i did FEEL something.  so my analysis right or wrong crazy or not,  :Pulling_hair: i think at least some (if not all) of it was him. older & stiffer with some kind of morphing face. some of his movements reminded me of sofurgofromashes.

I agree.  I wasn't overwhelmed by the song at first, but after repeated listenings,  I'm a slave to it!  As for the beat, I am not a musician so I speak with very limited understanding, but I found the beat in his new songs to be more jazzy, slightly asynchronous and often a bit surprising.  But back to the topic at hand.  I know what you mean by FEELING something.  Seeing is NOT beLIEving because it's our feelings that will lead us to the truth.  And also when he sat down in the chair, I have to say I sensed a 'Fuck you!' attitude on his part.  It was a turf war on a global scale.  I won.   :michael_jackson-1135:

That vid was great, BTW!  Wonder why they mentioned Avatar and Benjamin Button?  A friend watching the vid with me last night remarked that he looked younger.  IS he younger?  All that talk way back about the fountain of youth.

I didn't personally think his dancing looked stiff, but again I'm no expert.  Did look like sofurgofromashes.  The movements were very controlled and his moonwalk serious, almost as though he was stomping out something.  Everyone was expecting something spectacular and convincing.  I was waiting for those phone calls from skeptical friends apologizing for calling me a crackpot.

So what was the point?  What exactly did we see?  It was not a song and dance performance, 'Michael performing the songs his fans want him to sing.'   ;D  The King of Pop is dead, after all.

BUT the King himself is not dead and a King, after all, doesn't usually perform, but has others perform for him!  (Remember the Time comes to mind)  But how would we know it was him if he didn't 'perform' in some way? Seems to me he found a way to perform but not perform.  It felt a bit Shakespearean to me, a television event that will change history.  The return of the King.

Funny though that they made a point of saying that only Jackie was there!  Wasn't it Jackie who said he would know his brother anywhere by his movements?  And didn't he say he felt his presence?  Just sayin..

exactly, that little jerk of his body has 'TUDE' all over it.  i'm back, i'm STILL BAD,....now what?

I personally  wouldn't attend  'virtual Michael's' concerts.
Having everything cued to happen with the technology would  be a dampener for  simple live venue spontaneity .  It would have to be a  tightly orchestrated fit to have  all aspects of the show , human and technology, run together like clockwork. I am no fan of that.
Not to mention that there is Michael's presence, his own energy that would be absent and I think this is the major point against the idea  being successful. Lacking in his essence, the whole contrived thing leave a 'soulless' feeling for the viewer.

i agree,  u hit the nail on the head...soulless.  that's probably why i felt nothing, except how much i miss the real thing.  u totally deserve the best answer award  :th_bravo:

Ok this is what I think, I think MJ is a good impersonator of MJ's impersonators, the spins he did is EXACTLY the way MJ's impersonators does, as we know Michael likes CONTROVERSY this was served to the Media to talk about it, remember in order to MJ to come back he needs controversy and that everybody talks about him so this is the way he did it. It's real MJ performing on stage, I agree with the ones that have said the dancer touched Michael's arm and that another dancer bumped his leg "ON PURPOSE". I see a correct lip sync what makes me wonder: how the heck Michael could make a perfect lip sync if he never sang this song?
Furthermore I believe it was used a CGI effect on Michael's face making him look younger and distorting his face somehow, if you carefully watch his face looks sometimes like Michael while he looks different in other moments.

Ah and I would like to highlight the helicopter sound while SWAT guys were performing at the beginning of the show, a clear hint to the helicopter where began the first doubts of Michael being dead.

i noticed the same thing.  sometimes while performing it looked like mj other times not.  unfortunately they never got close enough and he never stayed still long enough.  some of his dance moves were on point with the rhythm and some were not,  surprisingly the moon walk for one.

but what did TS's whole post have to do with Cinco de mayo, apart from the date 5/5/14

Good question!  According to CNN:

Quote
Actually today commemorates Mexico's victory against the French during the Battle of Puebla in 1862, and according to research by UCLA professor David Hayes-Bautista, it isn't a Mexican holiday at all but rather an American one created by Latinos in California during the Civil War.

There was a controversy that day at MSNBC where some white guy sported a sombrero chugging a bottle of tequilla.  The video is telling IMO, especially since it mentions another racist, Donald Sterling. (Whose story broke on TMZ - just saying)

Has anyone noticed all the news stories lately dealing with race issues?

Off-Topic:
Yes! :icon_rolleyes: (Another rabbit hole altogether. . . .)

i thought i made a reply about media being the cause for on-going racial tensions, but my post disappeared.
again:  racism = divide and conquer.

I'm far too simple for all this......

I'm just totally confused!  :elvis-1405:

:icon_lol: that makes two of us.  it's been so long i forgot about the DWD and ARG.  ARG is a game - correct?  so is this actually a game?  when i came to this sight i noticed MJ was being used as a platform to expose the corruption that exist,  thru a youtube poster for mj death hoax his/her vids consisted of that exposer, somehow i landed here.  here the same was being exposed along with what really happened on 6/25. i'm confused, is this something to be taken seriously or is it a game?  i do remember postings about an ARG.  i looked up ARG and read some of it. so that would make TS the puppetmaster  ( i don't care to much for that title because i don't like the fact of someone pulling my strings).   should i have been taking this as something serious to expose  the worlds problems or a game.   :icon_e_confused:   this was in the ARG definition-

This Is Not A Game (TINAG) – Setting the ARG form apart from other games is the This Is Not A Game sentiment popularized by the players themselves. It is the belief that “one of the main goals of the ARG is to deny and disguise the fact that it is even a game at all.”[5]

i did enjoy reading how you all put your heads together to figure something out.  and i loved the redirects.  but does this consist of a beginning, middle, and end?  will we ever get any concrete proof on mj.  even if no return that he is alright?
