It's not the same. The widest point of Schefflera is closest to the mid point of the leaf, which is typical of all plant leaves. The widest point of Twitter Front's leaf is nearest the tip, which is atypical. Which is why I wonder if it's even real. Also, Schefflera arboricola 'Variegata' is variegated yellow or chartreuse, Twitter Front's leaf is variegated light green.

Bec, I think we need to look on a larger scale. What was Michael always concerned about. Planet Earth and what does this planet consists of Tropical Rainforest.  This plant maybe a native plant of the Tropical Rainforest. I am going to go and do some research.

That's what most houseplants are. In any case I searched all plants, not specifically houseplants. Good luck with your search and report back if you find something interesting.

i think it's a real leaf , his tweet was:frontback777 Front 9 Jun Magic exists in every single creation. Look with your heart...not with your eyes. Nature's artwork---Moby Dick
so not a faux leaf imo
but i was thi, king like you have shazam and soundhound to identify sounds, perhaps there are ways to identify images..and ofcourse there are: for iphone and ipad there is leafsnap which with a photo of the leaf can be identified if in their database and also plantpedia , these are just two apps but if you google there are more and some are for free, so if anyone with iphone or ipad want's to give it a try (don't have either myself) maybe we'll be able to find out what leaf it is ...or maybe someone could just ask twitter front and save us all the hassle  ;)s

You are not alone

“She had blue skin. And so did he. He kept it hid, and so did she. They searched for blue, their whole life through, Then passed right by—and never knew.” —Shel Silverstein

We don’t like to talk about struggle. It’s easy to say that we should embrace vulnerability; living it proves much harder. Many of us are afraid to speak up when we’re having a hard time. We live in a world that often labels struggle and vulnerability as signs of weakness, rather than as natural and acceptable parts of human experience. Strength, in turn, becomes defined as never having or showing weakness, rather than moving through the moments that challenge us.

Let’s borrow Silverstein’s metaphor, and think of our experiences with struggle as our “blue skin.” We hide our blue skin behind the mask of “I’m fine,” fearing that if we reveal our challenges, others will think less of us; we fear our struggles will isolate us. Although it can seem we’re alone in that fear, we’re not. Ultimately, however, that fear often leaves us all looking out from behind our masks of “I’m just tired” and “I’m okay,” searching for blue and the confirmation that we are not alone in our experience of struggle. We pass by blue every single day—we just never know, because it’s hidden, like ours.

Feeling like the only one with blue skin in a sea of people who don’t appear to be struggling can be a demoralizing and isolating experience, even if we reason that it’s impossible that we’re the only ones having a hard time. Everyone struggles. We know that. So why don’t we talk about it?

By relegating our struggles to the realm of silence, we are not only invalidating our own experiences, but we also risk eliminating the spaces in our community and in our relationships where we can discuss them with openness, honesty and vulnerability.

If we don’t talk about these battles, people will fight them in silence, alone. And sometimes, they will lose. We won’t know our friends and loved ones were experiencing excruciating pain and struggle until it’s too late.

In February of my freshman year of high school, one of my friends took his own life. In the days following his passing, one statement ceaselessly echoed through the subdued conversations held around campus: “I had no idea he was struggling so much.” None of us had any idea he was hurting so badly that he felt suicide was the only solution. We never had the opportunity to meet him in his pain, to walk with him through it, to talk about the struggle now and the promise of brighter days to come. We lost our friend to the silence and stigma surrounding struggle before we got that chance.

Silence and stigma are powerful things. Even after witnessing their dangers and consequences, I waited far too long before asking for help with my own struggles with depression and anxiety. I was scared of the stigma and the ways it might affect me, my family and my relationships. I was so scared, in fact, that I didn’t tell anyone outside of my family for three years. Three! Eventually I mustered up enough courage to stutter out a confession to my best friend. It took me a while, but I am so glad that I finally said something. Her continued love and support following that (surely unexpected) news opened my eyes to the power of letting people meet us in our vulnerable places. I began to understand the healing and hope that can be found in community.

Sometimes I can’t help but wonder how many people I pass in a day that feel as though they’re struggling alone, and searching for proof that others feel the same. Even when you know you’re not alone, it’s hard not to feel that way sometimes. However, the story does not have to end with secrets and silence and loss. The story can end with honesty, community and recovery. There are better endings, and we have the power to write them.

It won’t be easy. Letting people see our more broken parts never is. We’ll have to learn to love and to listen when—most importantly when—it’s challenging, or uncomfortable, or uncool. I invite you to take off your mask. Don’t be afraid to show that blue skin. By allowing ourselves to be vulnerable, we are creating a space in our community for open and honest conversation about difficult things. Reach out to a friend, whether it’s to seek help for yourself or to see how they’re doing.

We all have a voice, and we all have the power to raise it. Let’s use ours to break the silence, and let people know: You are not alone.

Others / Re: Peter Lopez - Suicide or Murder?
« on: February 05, 2013, 05:10:28 PM »
wow very odd the autopsy report!!
they state he was found in supine position which means on his back, but according to one of the drawings in the report the debris of twigs, leaves and rocks was located on the front of his legs?! The investigators report states he had pants on ,they dont say long or short though.Still if you look at the bullet trajectory it says entry at right temple and direction is right to left , front to back and downward??? Try and imagine the scene of someone putting a gun to his own right temple and shooting himself, do they point downwards???? For me  he was forced to his knees( debris on front of legs) , shot by someone standing (downward trajectory of bullet), and then laid down in a "supine"position, gun then placed in his right hand and voila we have a suicide ruling. Or maybe i just read too many crime books. Will google earth his residence and try to get view of his yard where this took place, report talks of chainlink fence so am curious as to whether its accessible from another side...

Not having had much time to comment these last days it was nice to see the thread getting many replies...
Just a pity that it seems the replies are going towards a "lets guess the bam date" route.
@thriller4ever a page or two back you posted how this hoax is not about global warming as you feel that would be the most ridiculous premise for a hoax. I certainly did not start this topic claiming that it was. It has to do with my thoughts on the four years statement not being "hoaxy" i explain this on page one.
@aussie  you post that jermaines five year statement is in direct conflict with mj telling us four years, again thats assuming the four years has to do with his comeback.
@everyone
Just like other real life events that take place do actually take place and are therefor not hoaxed, i simply say that not evereything we heard coming from mj's mouth the past years or decades( however long one choses to believe this hoax has been in preperation) is hoax related imo. mj felt very strongly for our planet thats no secret!

so jacaranda, you suggesting that this letter shows MJ had a desire not to be on demerol, does that mean you actually think that he WAS a drug addict?  :icon_e_confused:

Taking a medicine for a complaint, and developing a dependancy on it, does not make someone a drug addict.
So no, that's not what i'm saying.
IF the letter is genuine, then it shows, at that time, that Mj had developed a dependancy on demerol, he was not
ok with that, and sought to do something about it. So good on him. If he was in pain, for whatever reason,
he has every right to have something prescribed to him, to help combat that pain. Same as anyone else.
And he could develop dependancy. Same as anyone else. It's not uncommon to end up dependant on any opioid analgesic
and can happen damn fast too.
IF this was the case then he should be afforded understanding and support, not be vilified for it.
There's nothing dirty or scandalous about it.

The letter is either:
Genuine, and leaked by MJ
Bullshit, and leaked by MJ
Genuine, leaked by other
Bullshit, leaked by other

And sinse theres not really any way of knowing which of those it is, I personally think it's more useful
to question WHY it surfaced when it did. Like I said, at that time, the media was full of 'demerol was cause of death' stuff,
for example:

Then this letter appeared shortly after that. Media say demerol, letter says Anti-demerol. (whether the letter is genuine or not,
has no bearing on it, It's ANTI demerol).
So i'm saying, based on the content and the timing, it's a possiblity that it was simply released in answer to the
accusation that mj was a demerol addict and it caused his death. If that makes sense. ??
Sorry if i'm doing a shit job of explaining what i mean.

Not a shit job at all! Very good explanation that i'm inclined to believe to be possible. I'd started looking up the buprenex 5-7 day program but could'nt make heads or tails of till you posted the other page of the letter and now it does make sense so thanks for that!

"Taking a medicine for a complaint, and developing a dependancy on it, does not make someone a drug addict" absolutely agree
with this too.

Bam=comeback and any other interpretation is grasping at straws.

right on  8)

and @ its her , your explanation of the four year statement being directed at crew and dancers but pertaining to the hoax , i must say i had'nt thought of it that way and it does sound good but i still seriously believe he was talking about what Hansen had said about climate change and Obama's 4 year term being crucial to change . But great way of interpretation by yourself nonetheless! :bearhug:

9
Well gwynned i ve seen you ask bout bam =comeback a few times already.  Don't believe it was actually stated anywhere  that that would be the case, but it just seems logical that with a " bam " a comeback is meant i suppose!
Unless an actual physical bam depends on certain wrongs being righted, which has not been the case so far has it.

Meanwhile the official mj facebook page latest post was interesting, still getting used to working with this i pad thingy so not yet up to copying and pasting but wishfully thinking it has to do with this thread.

10
By authority i hope you dont mean government because we cant say on one topic oh you cant trust anything they say yet on another need to hear it coming from them or else not trust it. In this particular instance the authority on the subject of climate change would be jim hansen but what he has to say on the matter gets beaten down by the government because they dont like anyone interfering whilst they scratch the backs of their financers and vice versa.    Regarding looking at the statement by mj in its whole to me he is asking his dancers and crew for their endurance ,patience, telling them that the public needs escapism from this world we live in , from their everyday lives and problems and that he and his dancers are there to provide this escape if only for one evening during a concert.  Everything else said regarding environment in that statement is to me mj passionately defending his love for the world and its inhabitants, like they, they who it starts with us because he is sure as hell familiar with the fact that the government wont do anything to help if it does not help themselves to be richer and more powerful first.
Ive been down the road of dissecting stuff from TII not in least the fist in ear statement and the burning of jackets which to me symbolized dust jakets or book covers  thus books being burned thus our knowledge being taken from us
But i still believe the four year or else its irreversible statement has everything to do with what jim hansen said about obama s four year term at that time.

11
not being one of the "everyone who's dissapointed" i just consider that MJ , aware person that he is, may have simply been pointing towards the climate change topic . He certainly did not say four years to get it right or i'm not coming back. The words came from his own mouth no doubt there , just doubt he was talking about a future come back schedule.

Revisiting Old Stuff / Revisiting Old Stuff: Four years toget it right
« on: January 08, 2013, 03:05:51 PM »
i'm thinking the four years to get it right statement by MJ in This is it has to do with exactly what he was telling us in that context namely our duty to step up and do something before we completely ruin the planet for later generations (if we have'nt done so already)
This was what was in the news when Michael was in the planning stages of This Is It, and very likely what Michael meant when he reiterated that "we only have 4 years left to get it right or else it's irreversible".

In Jan 2009, a leading climatologist warned that the new president needed to lead the world in making significant changes to stop and reverse global warming...You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ). Jim Hansen, one of the most prominent experts on climate change, was the one who said "we only have 4 years left". Hansen was not referring to the end of the world in 4 years, but rather to Obama's 4-year term as president. As carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere increase, global temperatures increase, melting the ice caps and causing sea levels to rise, which is predicted to reach devastating levels over the next hundred years. The urgency of Hansen's message is based on his contention that it is not just a proportional relationship between CO2 levels and rising temperatures, but that over time, the rate of rising temperatures will accelerate. He said, "We cannot now afford to put off change any longer. We have to get on a new path within this new administration. We have only four years left for Obama to set an example to the rest of the world. America must take the lead."

So i don't think the four years has to do with his come back date.

TIAI ~ 2011 / Re: TIAI November 11 (11-11-11)
« on: November 30, 2012, 01:46:04 PM »
When TS starts out by saying he'' debunk " stuff proved just to keep us on our toes , then we can't end up depressed can we? He's basically telling us again not to believe everything he says right?
Someone , think it was wishing star said about not believing mj would "use" a DWD patient like that but TS said even MJ did not know everything about how it would go down so possibly FBI made this decision?
If FBI is truely involved than this surely must rule out any "artistic" reasons for hoax such as outdoing Elvis, or greatest show on earth etc
If FBI is truely involved would we seriously have clues or at least what we categorized as clues?
Lost as always...

Michael Jackson News / Re: Here we go again, Oprah dissing Michel Jackson
« on: November 21, 2012, 04:28:56 AM »
Now i've no love for Oprah, but i did'nt really from this snippet , get the idea she was dissin MJ. If anything i think she was sugarcoating the fact that Justin would be nowhere if it had'nt been for social media. It remains to be seen ofcourse when the whole interview is aired, if she will infact engage in trying to put MJ in a bad light again, but something tells me she won't get into that again. I certainly hope not anyway!s

maybe the moral of the story is.......they had TWO mj's
