Hmmm......This kind of open cast call has happened before.Websites STILL hasn't announced any new roles filled...wonder how the effort toward raising money for schools is going?

Yeah, it's been done before - in 2009.

Kids can audition for 'Lundon' via YouTube
Published: Monday, March 16 2009 7:52 a.m. MDT

Look out Hollywood.

Aspiring child actors don't need to move to Los Angeles for a chance at fame any longer. All children need to become the star of Sandman Studios' rendition of Dennis Christen's latest book, "Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys," is a video camera and a little imagination.

"We're doing auditions on the Internet using YouTube," said Dennis Christen, who also wrote the screenplay for the movie. "Kids just record themselves talking and post it online."

Even the video camera isn't essential. According to Sandman Studios' Web site, hopefuls can record their audition, a short scene from the upcoming movie, on a cell phone camera.

The production company plans to choose 150 children between the ages of 5 and 10 to play in the video. One lucky girl — a Hispanic-American who looks about 8 years old — will get the role of leading lady Lundon O'Malley.

"I think every child should have access to great opportunities, no matter what their zip code," Christen said.

i know this thread is old but debbie just posted this picture of dave with a part from a book she is reading. i didn't know if we had seen it before.  i can't help but notice the left eye. looks like perhaps he is blind in that eye the color is different from the right. and this close up the rest of the scaring looks a fair amount different from what we saw on larry king. what do you guys think. does this make the point stronger that it was maybe not him?

I remember seeing this pic before so I did a google image search of Dave Dave and this pic has been around since at least 2010.  But he definitely looks different here than the Larry King "Dave Dave".

This photo of "Dave Dave" is a REVERSED image.  Here is what the poster behind him should actually look like.

Organizers cancel Jackson Vienna tribute concert

 VIENNA | Fri Sep 11, 2009 3:25pm EDT

(Reuters) - A Michael Jackson tribute concert planned in Vienna this month has been canceled and the event will be staged in Britain next year, organizers said on Friday.

Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson had struggled to get R&B stars Mary J. Blige and Chris Brown and veteran singer Natalie Cole to confirm they could perform at the September 26 concert.

"Due to the short time frame it was not possible for many of them to change their schedule so that they could be on stage in Vienna on September 26, therefore we decided, after careful consideration, to change the date of the tribute concert to the summer 2010," Jermaine Jackson said in a statement issued in London.

World Awards Media, who are promoting the event, said in a joint statement with Jermaine Jackson that the exact venue in Britain and the date would be announced shortly.

Jermaine Jackson said many artists had wanted to join the tribute to his brother and that Britain was a fitting venue as Michael had been planning a series of concerts there.

Organizer Georg Kindel earlier blamed negative treatment by the Austrian media for the cancellation and told reporters that the tribute would be held at Wembley Stadium in London in June 2010, to mark the first anniversary of Jackson's death.

"The artists were disrespectfully treated as B-list artists by the media," Kindel said, adding that tickets for the Vienna concert will be refunded.

BIG NAMES MISSING

U.S. representatives for Blige, Brown and Cole said on Thursday that none of the three would perform in Vienna, contrary to statements by the concert organizers.

This left only lesser-known performers such as Sister Sledge, best known for a 30-year-old dance track, "We Are Family."

Vienna city council said earlier on Friday it would not support the concert after realizing the show would not bring in as much advertising revenues as initially expected.

Organizers had hoped the city would provide up to 600,000 euros ($876,200) in funding for the event at the capital's 17th century Schoenbrunn palace.

"A cancellation is better than something that is bad and that doesn't interest anyone," said Robert Nuernberger, spokesman for the Vienna tourist board.

Organizers had expected artists to reinterpret Jackson's greatest hits including "Billie Jean", "Thriller" and "Bad", in front of an audience of 65,000.

Not sure TS will answer - but I am still wondering why he listed the date of the burial as August 3rd 2009 (8-3-09) not September 3rd 2009 (9-3-09) which is when we were led to believe it occurred and was beamed around the world   :suspect:

Quote
#2.  Direction could also be run on the scene by the FBI.  In fact, 6-25-09 was the day that FBI had primary say over how things would be run; MJ picked the day, and time, and most of the rest was arranged by the FBI.  The memorial (7-7-09) and burial (8-3-09) were events that MJ was the primary director (these were also the events with the Liberian Girl pictures).  And even on 6-25-09, MJ could give remote directions, if needed, via encrypted e-mail {www.hushmail.com}.

Typo or intentional typo of the date?  A TMZ article from that date 8-3-09 says Katherine spoke out for the first time about her son's 'death' to Geraldo saying "My son is dead and I don't think he just died of natural causes. He's too young. Something happened."

Does anyone remember?  Wasn't it shortly after this "phone call from Katherine" that Geraldo removed almost everything concerning "Michael Jackson" from his website and and didn't even talk about "Michael Jackson" for quite a while?

Ya it totally looks like the jackets the TII dancers wore at the funeral.  Too bad the photo doesn't show more of the jacket.

 :icon_e_wink:

A West Point uniform jacket belonging to the late Chester deGavre that was found at a New Jersey beach by Donna Gugger of Holland, Pa. after Superstorm Sandy, is shown Wednesday in Onacock, Va.

Thanks, Paula-c!

I never could figure out the writing on that shirt!

For some reason, I always imagined Dr. Murray would be in a suit, like the security guys.  Similar to the "Dr. Murray" in this re-enactment from VH1 Crime Scenes -

It's interesting to me because it's not common practice to move in before papers are signed at the mortgage company. I guess it's different when you have money.

Or, when your real estate agent is the brother-in-law of Kathy Hilton.  :icon_e_wink:   So many coincidences...

"Real estate agents were having difficulty selling the house mainly because fans flocked to the property in droves to get a glimpse of where Michael passed away.

Mauricio Umansky, the husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, arranged the purchase through his company The Agency.

Kyle and her sister Kathy Hilton have been longtime friends of the Jackson family.

Although the mansion's sale is in the final stages of escrow, new owner Steven has already began moving in."

I've been trying to find something to confirm the actual size of these "cells" in the LA Men's Central Jail where Murray is supposed to be.  The closest I have found is part of a comment from this link - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

"I've done two tours at Men's Central... Try spending 24/7, some guys fighting a case for 4 + years, in a 8x10 cell with 11 other guys with one toilet and sink, roaches, mice, rats and sticky filth everywhere you touch."

It sounds like a horrible place - but this person says an 8x10 cell would hold 12 men.  So IF Murray is in an 8x10 cell by himself, he should not be complaining.

OR ANOTHER THOUGHT -

All this talk about "cells" and the size of "cells"

"Cell" can also be an abbreviation for "Celluloid" which can mean "a motion-picture film - a film you show in the cinema"
