OK, the report on his "apparent suicide" is really bugging me; they say gun shot to the head and don't mention the gun at all. (In reports like this they usually say something like: "a 38 Caliber revolver - or a S & W Semi-automatic was found next to him") Why there is NO mention of the Firearm and statement from wife or family member as to weather they owned a firearm? Plus I've read this report from 4 or 5 on-line news sources and some say found in Back Yard and some say Front Yard. Usaully there is variation in details from one article to the next, but no matter what source you read it is the same with no variation in details (except the back/front yard discrepancy) I have seen no updates on this and I have NOT seen this on the Mainstream (TV) news at all. I have only seen this on I-Net (just like Chandler- I never saw anything about his death on TV, did any one else?) There is just something very sketchy about this.

Agree.. very very fishy there is not much news on the internet or tv ..

He wasn't famous, perhaps mainstream media doesn't find it important? I think the only reason the internet & TMZ reported it is because of his ties to MJ to be honest.

I would be happy with the fact if it was a hoax! It may be a means to take down the bad guys if they were to believe a key player (for MJ) was out of the picture.

Haha yeah, maybe Mike needs some serious legal advice and is tired of sneaking around in public. Having Lopez fake his death too would be easier--they can hang out in their hiding spot together. I kid, although that would be great. Lopez wasn't really famous. The only reason he received that much coverage was because of MJ. If he wanted to disappear he could have. Still, this is Michael we're talking about. Can't rule anything out :D

Has any news source been able to find out a possible reason why he committed suicide? Did he leave a note? What did his wife say? Did any of his friends or colleagues notice any changes in his behavior?

he did leave a note if i remember right...what was odd was that they said he gave no motive..ok then wtf was the note about?? isnt that why ppl write suicied notes??

I dont think its a hoax. I think simply the media either doesnt know anything yet or they got their stories wrong....and it could be a little of both. They hear rumors and write about it as fact. Which is wrong, but I think also maybe its still under investigation and certain facts havent been released yet. Maybe they never will be,. Even though its a supposed suicide it still needs to be investigated.

I believe the local news here ran stories when Marie Osmond's son committed suicide and wouldn't it be the same thing - it's a family member of a celebrity. I haven't watched much TV over the past few months but I'll check my local TV websites to see what's been reported. I don't think he faked his death but it really does seem suspicious.

You may see reason he was "suicided" when you read his role in the 02 announcement. Be sure to read the long Newshound Blog posted here...this tells everything that went on behind the scenes of the 02 Announcement - You will be very surprised. Lopez may have been trying to get MJ out of this obligation and that did not sit too well with *some people*...

As to your other questions: He left a note with no reason (just loves his wife & kids, etc.) Some colleagues said he appeared "Stressed" a few weeks prior but no one knew why. I strongly feel he was eliminated due to his role with MJ's London Concert Mess.

Paris Hilton tweeted RIP Peter Lopez, but it was a few days after he died. Not sure how famous he was.
