First of all, I've asked this before in double threads but since there is a double theory section, I wanted to make a topic about it. I'm just curious how many people believe in the double theory.
So the main question is clear: Do you believe that he used doubles or not? It doesn't matter in what era, and it's only about Michael not about his kids etc.
And the other question is: Are you a fan or not?
Second: It's not my intention to start an argue here, I only want to know how many double-believers there are.
I (still) don't believe that he used doubles for public performances like speeches or concerts. I think he only used them to mislead for example the papparazzi.
And I'm a fan for almost 20 years now.

Yes! I believe Michael used doubles but not for main events, Mainly I would say for decoy, I do believe doubles were used in the rehersals of TII for placement & dance routine. ;)

I believe that they would have two or even that he has used doubles.
I always liked MJ music but I do not know whether to call me a fan... but now after the "death" I can say that I'm a fan of MJ <3 (better late than never)

That would be mean he fouled people around for such a long time and IMO he wouldnt do that. He is such a perfectionist, I dont think that he would leave big events like concerts or big interviews to doubles. He would do it his way.
And I am a big fan since Billie Jean, so around 1983.

yea i agree. i'm a big fan i believe he used doubles in his later years for certain reasons. and t get people off his back, i do not believe he used doubles in his early years like thriller and bad, those were his peak eras he was really hitting the charts at those times, so i dont think he would use doubles for that, that would be fooling his fans which i doubt hed do, and i agree i dont agree he used doubles for concerts either, i dont think any double or impersonator could ever do what that man does, not spot on at least. :)

I dont believe in the 02 double or concert doubles at all but you said it right. I think perhaps he could have used doubles just to get away from the press and fans at time but never ever for concerts or in interviews or anything like that. Nobody can do Michael like himself so why would he want anyone to? Like they say if you want something done right DO IT YOURSELF

There are people who are a longtime fan, and believe in the double theory.
But I think, and maybe I'm wrong, that most of the double believers are 1) no fan, or 2) fan since his death

No, I am not a fan. I started my "Discovering Michael Jackson Journey" on June 25, 2009.
I do not own a single CD, do not own a copy of TII, saw the movie ONCE, never read a book written by him or about him, had only heard a couple of his songs over the years (usually on the car's radio or like thriller at Halloween), never followed the trial, don't read tabloids and I don't watch TV...

I always thought he was taller about 5'10 to 5'11 range seems right
It is possible to grow in height until your about 25 so i think maybe he was 5'9 and then grew a bit more

It was also mention on this forum that MJ used a double during his 2005 child molestation trial. I feel when ppl do go off topic the clues goes in another direction. It gets me to think and do research. IMO.

Well from what i have read in other topics there are some of BOTH on here
maybe , but i think for sure most realize that something is terribly wrong with the whole scenerio(sp) and we have to keep questioning it. perhaps the question we should ask is could someone else have used doubles in a scheme to use or hurt him?

it seems to me that pictures and videos have been used in topics and sparked our thoughts in the direction of another one. all of the topics can ultimately come together to help.
by the way there is a new thread about an article written in 2009 about using doubles for the tour. i had seen it earlier and couldn't find it again and didn't want to mention it. i didn't know if the implication of the questions were to imply he was being decieving in a corrupt way only for gain.

Michael has definitely used body doubles. I remember year ago they had a special about him on the "Fabulous Life" on VH1 and one of his doubles was on the show. He and other doubles had plastic surgery to look like Michael to be used as decoys. :D

I believe Michael Jackson used impersonators and lookalikes to chase of paparazzi. Because it's a fact. People working with him during tours have addressed that.

I'm pretty sure that he used doubles. I've watched TII a lot of times and no way i'm tellin' NO WAY that it's him in most of the scenes.( and not to mention the O2 or the last 20years)
And as bein' a fan..i don't even like the word: fan. That means fanatic to me and no offense. So no, i'm not a fan, i'm just not that type. I love and respect the man, but for me he's not the king of pop or an icon..he's an island for me. Everytime i'm in a bad mood, it's enough to put his record on, that just makes me smile. I see that a few people say they are not fans... If people are not fans, why waste so much energy on finding out the truth? Whats the agenda if you don't really care too much for him? This is a legitimate question. I really want to know. How can one spend this much time on Michael and not be a fan? He has so much to offer the world. He gave so much to the world.. Why not be a fan of a wonderful human being like that?

This is a legitimate question. I really want to know. How can one spend this much time on Michael and not be a fan? He has so much to offer the world. He gave so much to the world.. Why not be a fan of a wonderful human being like that?

Stop making assumptions like that, not being a fan is not a crime. Fans haunted him all those years, fans made it impossible for him to live a normal life, fans attacked him, wanted to tear him apart, physically hurt him, think about that and look up the meaning of fan please, than think about your assumptions.

You took the words right out of my mouth Souza.I'm not a fan but have admired him for all the good he did do so far in his life by helping millions of people from all over the world whether its through his music or through him personally.You don't have to be a fan to appreciate someone who has done far more then anyone else in this world towards human kind.

I'm just curious, really.
Not having T-shirts with his face on them, or posters on my bedroom-wall, not having an MJ-doll means i don't really care abt him? I'm a fan of arts, a fan of good music, a fan of nice movies, but i'm not a fan of a person. Even if this person is the most talented one on the Earth. To love and respect someone, and being their fan are two different things. Most of the fans love their ICON, i like, respect, and tryin' to figure out the man himself. He couldn't live a normal life ( what he wanted so badly ) because of the so-called fans who tried to tear him apart everytime they seen him. He couldn't go to the cinema, he couldn't go to the mall, he couldn't go anywhere, because of THEM.
If these people would REALLY care abt him so much, they wouldn't do that with him. I know that all of you are nice people, and i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, 'cause fortunately everyone is different. I don't really care if you are a fan or not, that doesn't matter, as long as we respect each other. Everyone on this forum CARES abt him, that's for sure. Why is it such a big deal that some of us don't dream abt bein' his wife? All that goes for nothing. It's not a race, there are no losers and winners, it's not like some of us have more right to be here, and others have not. We r here for the same reason, finding the truth. And we r here, 'cause we DO CARE.

TracyK, in answer to your question. Why do I have to be a fan? I love and respect him as a PERSON. You can't be a fan of every person you've ever cared about or respected. It just wouldn't make sense. And on a side note: The fans are the ones who kept him awake at night screaming outside of his hotel window. They're the same ones who tackle, pull, and tug at him every waking second. And the same ones who invaded his privacy. Why would I want to be a part of that chaos? I love and respect the man, but at the end of the day I am no fanatic. But I do wish him well.
