Title: If This Was the Reason for the Green Man
Post by: heisinme09 on March 21, 2010, 09:42:42 AM: Question about We Are The World Haiti...when it first came out, I definitely heard it stated that The Green Man was inserted into the video so that fans could put a picture of themselves into the group singing....here is the link for the official site of the video and the cause....do YOU see anything about this?

Has the time expired to do this or something? Wouldn't it be mentioned here? I find this odd...all this time that there has been talk on this board about The Green Man, I dismissed it because I thought I already knew the answer for him being there...but now that I've checked into it, I don't see ANYTHING about it....WTH? Anybody have a logical explanation for this?

If you look at the WATW video, Michael is inserted in it. Around 2:20 he starts singing, you see him @ 2:22 then Janet shares the screen with him around 2:26. They used green screen technology to put Michael and Janet together here. Janet would have been filmed in front of a green screen and then her video would have been put into a video editing program, the video of Michael would be used as background footage. The program would mesh them together.

Michael is again Inserted in to the video at about 3:40. Both of these sections of video would have just been added to the whole video later during the editing process.

So again the explanations we have been given for the appearance of "Green Man" are not making sense. I really do believe it is how I explained it in that video I made but whatever, it isn't my job to convince anyone of anything

I meant it as a comment to the post I quoted. That MAYBE they used it there. ;) :D

Yep. I though they meant (physically together); Green Man and Janet.
It would be really eerie seeing her act like he's there. :?
And they could have found a better place for him anyways..

About being recognizable, do you mean why is he seeing just seconds?
This can be explained with the shure existence of more takes, where the green dummy is probably more visible.

But I thought you'd want to be inserted into the actual video, and he's only there for like a second and barely visible.

In that moment they would edit it with different takes they already have, and where MJ and this person inserted are more visible.

the singers were standing on platforms not MJ. MJ couldn't ''REVEAL'' himself. it would give the HOAX off.

I think he wanted to be seen for a second...but only for a second, so the beLIEvers can be sure it was him and he's alive...But Jennifer Hudson looks like she did something wrong.

Wouldn't you think that would be rampant? Wouldn't YouTube be the perfect venue to do so? Or on FaceBook? MySpace? I'm just asking....I haven't looked for any myself...wondering if any of you had? If none can be found, I think we have our answer...

you're totally.....it was only one mention about and then never again!
If that was supposed to be on dvd or on blu ray or whatever, then it should have been released weeks ago... So yeah, the other green men or the other green man were/was just a decoy...
