Title: Michael's 1993 Interrogation - Naming unrealeased songs!!!
Post by: MJmakesmespeechless on March 19, 2010, 09:59:09 AM
This is a MUST watch. It is a snippet from an over 2 hour interview (on DVD) - total Dvd is about 4 hours
It's from The Michael Jackson Interviews Part #2

1993 Interrogation in which Michael is questioned on the subject of whether or not he was the one who actually wrote certain songs from his and The Jacksons albums. This is about 2 hours footage and it can be REALLY hard to watch at times. You will see how drained and so tired he became after being questioned over and over again (sometimes the same ones repeatedly). Michael had just had oral surgery and he was not feeling well at the time so he was constantly sipping tea, water, fidgeting, playing with his sunglasses, and basically anything he could to stay focused, and awake. At times i think the drinking the tea etc was to make those annoying jerks that were innterogating him annoyed. Have to admit he broke a smile several times. And it is funny at times but you can clearly see the pain. The asking of so many questions over and over and the interrogators not giving a damn he is sitting for hours and hours clearly very uncomfortable. Only one of them asks near the end if he is not feeling so well and he seems quite compassionate but then the interview comes to an end. You will love this one i guarantee it.

So here is some of the video....
I think there may be more parts on You Tube

Oh God...   How did the interrogator found all these songs?? I bet Mike's enemies made up this case to force him to ennumerate all his songs in order to know on how much money he sits!  :x

We must put down all the titles to see if they will be released on Mike's new album. If they will be released - then we'll know SONY found them in archives. If there are other titles - there's a chance they'll be more recent songs!

Poor mike, I wanna hug him and give him some sandwich and tea... he is so polite and patient. And he remembers all these songs. He even sings some of them!  :!:

"What the hell has this to do with the case?!!!"

In the beginning...

Interiviewer: "Was it released?"
MJ: ""Pardon?" (Sorry? Excuseme? What are you asking me?...)

There is a part 2:

[youtube:1281tj2t]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8kgAn0yByM[/youtube:1281tj2t]

Those videos are really amazing!
I like these little smiles between all that sadness.
And he seems to think sometimes:
"OMG! That much of songs I wrote?!"
And when he shyly dance to remember the songs... So lovely!

It is hard to watch isnt it??? The badgering is totally insane and uncalled for. Michael maintains his composure each time and staying so true to himself and being SWEET. He's the most compassionate human being ever!

The other one from (96) that you posted --- that last line is funny...He's like what has this got to do with anything??? I dont know what your trying to get at.....

I remember the new released dong at MTV somewhere months ago of which everyone said it wasn't MJ's, but in part 2 the song comes up, so I guess it is his ;)

I mean that the first time he´s asked for the first song being released, he looks surprised at the interviewer. If I´m not wrong, this is a legal statement about the molestation (or maybe I misunderstood).

So I don´t understand what´s the point asking about the authory of the songs and if they ever were released. Were they trying to state a relation between the meaning of the songs and the allegations?

Is there more parts of the interrogation refering to other things?

To clear this up...the FIRST and THIRD video posted actually go together. They are from 1993 and he talks about the songs.

The SECOND video posted actually doesnt have much to do with this at all. It's from 1996. A whole different matter

Yes,
I agree with somekindofsign....what is the true purpose of interrogating MJ over his unreleased music???? Is this a shady way of getting info--for perhaps Sony--to determine how much they can still make off him, as a means to manipulate MJ or give them reason to murder him?  I am utterly confused as this has nothing to do with the molestation cases at all. Something is shady, very shady. Does it now have relevance with this new SONY contract??????? It is looking ominous, oh so very ominous!!!!

If you get the DVD it has about 2 hours of this interrogation over the songs...you can see Michael is clearly surprised at some point and says something like "how did you know about that?" (some of his songs)
He's thinking now where the hell did you get that???

No, this isnt to do with the molestation accusations..  this was a case where someone had accused MJ of stealing songs that MJ hadnt written himself. I cant remember the exact songs this person accused MJ of stealing...  but in the end it went nowhere and the other person didnt win as MJ proved he writes all his songs himself and the ones he doesnt he gives credit for on his albums.

This is true..  but in this DVD of this questioning..  there is gold dust because MJ spends a HUGE amount of time explaining how he writes songs and how he creates...  it is priceless to have that on tape and have a lesson in creativity and writing from Michael Jackson.

I guess so!!! The home videos (first part of the DVD) are being narrarated by Michael and watched by Michael as they are playing...lots of funnies and stuff on there. If you go to the Michael Video's forum on this board i posted a few of the videos he appears in like him going grocery shopping in 2003 and stuff like that

It was distrubuted by a company in the USA called Midnight Vision 2009. I think they go under a couple names. Iam assuming they got the rights to it.

It is REAL stuff believe me!!!

He may be Bad, he may be Dangerous, but an Italian court says Michael Jackson is no thief. Not anymore, at least.

An appeals court in Rome has overturned a lower court's decision, clearing Jackson of plagiarism in a case brought to court in the early '90s by Italian songwriter Al Bano.

Bano, whose real name is Albano Carrisi, claimed in 1993 that Jackson's "Will You Be There," which appeared on the 1991 album Dangerous, infringed on part of the music of the Italian songwriter's 1987 song "I Cigni di Balaka" ("The Swans of Balaka").

In a May 1999 court decision finding Jackson guilty, Rome Magistrate Domenico Bonaccorsi had written, "Besides the differences in language and text, both songs appear identical. The similarity cannot be put down to chance."

A fine of $1,900 was ordered, then suspended, and Jackson was asked to pay court fees, but his lawyers appealed the decision.

"The criminal court's ruling was groundless and a travesty," Jackson's copyright lawyer Eve Wagner said at that time. "The criminal court had not only ignored the previous rulings by six other judges in Jackson's favor but also the opinion of the court's own expert that there was 'no possibility of plagiarism.'"

Bano has also brought numerous civil cases against Jackson but has failed to win any of them.

[edit] Music videos
Filming for a "One More Chance" music video began in 2003, but was suspended after police raided Jackson's Neverland Ranch following child sexual abuse accusations.[41] At the time of the police investigation, a spokesperson for Epic Records stated that there was little chance of the music video ever gaining a release.[42] The video was replaced with a montage of clips sourced from throughout Jackson's career.[41]
[edit] Future album
Following the massive surge in sales of Jackson's catalogue following his death, Sony Music Entertainment, spearheaded by its Columbia/Epic Label Group division, signed a new deal with the Jackson estate to extend distribution rights to his back catalogue until 2015, which was later extended to 2017, as well as permission to release ten new albums with previously unreleased material and new collections of released work. The first album is scheduled to be out in November 2010 (featuring songs recorded 2001 - 2009), and the final album before December 2017. The songs will range from the early Off the Wall era, up to months before Jackson's death. The deal was unprecedented in the music industry as it is the most expensive music contract to a single artist in history, with Sony Music reportedly paying $250 million for the deal and with the Jackson estate getting the full sum as well as its share of royalties for all works released.[10][43]
