So, my family and I have been coming up with ways we can help the earth and the people in it. We don't have much money, but we do have free time on our hands. I have two small children and I want them to enjoy this earth as much as I have enjoyed it. Not only has this helped the earth, but it has enabled me to help other people. Here is the short list of what we have started, maybe we all can put our lists together just to show Michael that we are hearing his message and that we want to make a difference.
1. Saving electricity: turning off lights and setting the sleep timer on our tv when we go to bed.
2. Conserving water: When taking showers we turn the water on low when scrubbing our hair or shaving
3. Volunteering at our homeless shelter to serve food on Sundays
4. Three afternoons a week, I deliver food to the elderly.
5. Recycling anything we can. My daughter has got a kick out of looking for the recycling symbol on everything. Everywhere we go she finds something that can be recycled. The money we get from doing this we give back to the homeless shelter to buy things they need.
I found myself on this site looking for clues of Michael being alive. I knew I didn't need to search anymore, I know he is alive in my heart. So, instead of being on her 24/7, I decided I needed to do more good things with my time.
I love MJ and everything that he stood for. I want to try to make a difference in someone elses life. I love the feeling of seeing the smiles on peoples faces when I help them.

Nice post dragonflylilies!I did make some changes too.My children are helping, they are more concern about the planet then I was a their age...Imagine,I use to let the water run while I was brushing my teeth....can't believe I was doing that  Shame on me   And we are recycling a lot and that,we've been doing for quite a long time. When I think, back in my teens,we we're ignorant about lots of environmental issues but the important thing is that we do make that change and teach our children... ;)

Now this would make Michael happy to hear. Well done. We all should be concentrating on doing more of this. For me, I am trying to increase my giving to those in need. Thank you.

THIS will make Michael happy! Well done!

I bet Michael is very proud of you and your family. We all have to make that change.
Love your idea :P

Good for you, keep the desire to help others, there is nothing as fulfilling as this, in life. I especially like that your including your children in volunteering, this will make such differance in their lives, children that grow up with parents that have compassion for others also grow up having compasion, this is a wonderful attribute to have in future generations of our children. ;)

It's great, congratulations :) ;)

I'm happy to hear that, and I'm doing the same thing myself.
I give a lot of money to charity and try to live in a way that is good for the enviroment.
That is, from my point of view, one of the best way to show Michael and the world some love.

Since I was a little girl, I used to turn off watter while I brushed my teeth and did something else. I always turn off my tv when I'm going to sleep and I don't even talk about lights, I just save my money lol :)

I am so glad that everyone here is either starting to make that change or has been doing it. I will tell you though, that it was pretty difficult to start some of these things, but it is so much more rewarding helping others.

Great job!! We've been recycling 4 about maybe 2 years. And we've also been turning off the lights to save more money for a long time.

My neighborhood passed out big green buckets and we could put any thing that is able to be recycled in the bucket and than put it where we put our trash and the city picks it up. We don't even have to sort it :) Also, for a while last year I volunteered at a clothing shelter for about 3 hours a weekend last year sorting clothes for families in my city. But, since the start of this year I have had soccer games every weekend. :P Also, instead of throwing away old clothes my family donates them. :)
