Posted Mar 9th 2010 3:45PM by TMZ Staff
Subject: Another creditor's claim against Michael Jackson's estate.
Filed by: The law firm of Venable LLP.
Reason: Venable claims Michael owes the firm $471,103.56 for providing legal advice to Michael "on a broad spectrum of matters" from September, 2006 to June, 2009.

So I went to the probate court...
This law firm is not listed as a creditor and there is no documents listed as having been filed by them.

Go here Superior Court Of California County of Los Angeles: http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/probate/ (http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/probate/)
Click Case Summary on the left, scroll to the bottom and put the Case Number: BP117321 in the the box on the bottom of the page

You can now see the List of Claimants. To see the filed documents click the blue link for that.

Here is the link to the Law firm's website:

I think the purpose of this is that TMZ is just letting us know that Michael sought legal advice to Michael "on a broad spectrum of matters" from September, 2006 to June, 2009.

It's food for thought and telling us the story.  Let's connect the dots, shall we?

Or it could also just be a simple matter of the probate info not being updated in the website yet. I doubt that they do that on a daily basis.

Then how does TMZ have the story, it isn't public knowledge if it hasn't been entered into the file?

There is no claim from Raymone Bain.

And what does this mean
Quote
01/29/2010 Response (MR. JACKSON'S RESPONSE TO SEPARATE STATEMENT )
Filed by Attorney for Petitioner

01/29/2010 Opposition Document (MR. JACKSON'S OPPOSITION TO MOTION TO QUASH )
Filed by Attorney for Petitioner

It is not Joseph Jackson, and who are the attorneys representing Michael as they would have said Filed by Attorney for Michael Jackson
