I just thought of something about that day. It was said that the airport was shut down. Does anybody know why?
-
I have tried to find proof on the net regarding LAX being closed down on that day and I can't find anything. Maybe someone who lives in LA could give some insight.
-
There was a lot about that here and i am sure somebody found a report that it was shut down for an hour due to fog when there wasnt any fog maybe somebody can find it i am not good at that

I remember this topic last summer about LAX to be shut down on Jun 25. But then I came across some LAX web page where they had info showing delays and shut downs. What I did see is that they had that type of shut downs pretty often, and made the jun. 25 shut down like any other shut down they had. Nothing revelant, IMO.

Yes, that is the website. Look up yourself. If you look any other dates, you will see similar what was on June25.

I lived in California for six years and totally forgot all about the fog and flight delays  Thanks for reminding me :)

I am only repeating what I read somewhere earlier so it is just hearsay but it was inside info from a worker at LAX that a runway was closed down for a bit so that an unidentified flight could take off. Apparently it is fairly common especially at the big busy airports so the many dignitaries etc. can fly in and out with their private planes. That is just from memory though from what I read.
