I think we have to keep in mind that LaToya is quite the actress. She even spoke out AGAINST Michael at one time because her husband forced her to. I know she felt so guilty about that... so I believe she would say absolutely anything Michael told her to say maybe as a way to make it up to him :)

Another reason why she´s doing that cause she wants to show she loves her brother. I guess you remember when she  said bad things to the press to him during the first allegations?! With "murder" she might mean the media! Cause the media is the reason why he was hurt so many times in life. And now the Jackson´s are fighting back all the things they had to endure in the past.
