Maybe it is true because I read multiple times that they've told Blanket that his daddy is on vacation! Why would they lie to that kid if he's really dead? A 7year old knows already what dead means. It would be very cruel to make him believe his daddy's coming back.

If we had proof that Michael is in Witness protection Program, or any other Protection Program, none of us would have a reason to be here.  It is just a theory, one of several that make sense to me, but just a theory nontheless.

hmmm elvis is also supposed to be in witness protection program since 1977....

personnally i never believed in the witness program theory...nor for elvis (who is dead IMO) or for MJ...why on earth would he be leaving so many clues if he was hiding and fearing for his life??????????????

and usually witness protection programs include the children as well...they could have said they all died in a car crash or whatever and they would be hiding TOGETHER somewhere

It could well be. A lot concerning this was already discussed in the "mafia" thread. He felt his live and that of his children/family was in serious danger, there are video and phone recordings of him mentioning this. Friends and family to whom he mentioned that he was afraid that people wanted to murder him have also stated this in the media and on video. This is the scenario -murder by several people- the family apparently believes to be most likely as well.

This leaves the question of whether Michael really died or not. For outsiders, both are difficult to proof. There was a funeral, but no body was shown. There were emotions, but those could also be interpreted as having to have said goodbye to someone that (temporarily or definitively) took on another identity or because of the awful circumstances that led to all this. There was a death certificate, but the versions available for the public were not signed by a physician or coroner (it was blanked out, with no penstripes visible, which does not proof it was signed).

If Michael did survive a murder attempt, the guilty ones still need to be prosecuted which means there still would need to be an investigation as well as a medical exam (blood tests, tissue tests etc). In that case, the best way to seek official protection is within a WPP.

Some ridicule the possibility of celebrities to make use of a WPP. That is nonsense, every person has the right for protection.

Some background information about what a Witness Protection Program is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Sta ... on_Program (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Federal_Witness_Protection_Program)

How it works: http://people.howstuffworks.com/witness-protection1.htm (http://people.howstuffworks.com/witness-protection1.htm)

Take note that witnesses within the program usually:
- are given a new identity and name
- are not allowed to travel back to their hometowns
- are not allowed to contact unprotected family members or former associates
(That would include NOT leaving clues or guessing games all over the internet or showing up at TV shows
  dressed up like everyone.)
- are required to give testimony in court during trial (!!)

Well the clues are clues because we say they are. Not because it is fact they are clues. He might as well be in WPP. We just don't know.

Couple of years ago, I heard that Michael Jackson was called into a jury (I don't remember the case.) Maybe it has something to do with that? I dunno...Just throwing in my two cents.

Guys I dont feel MJ is in a WPP. Simply because why would he even have to fake his death for this. The clues really do debunk the WPP Theory because you would not leave all of these clues only to go into hiding. MJ would not want to leave a trace especially if his life was in danger u know? To me the murder theory is looking (unfortunatley ) more plausible. Yes, even after all the months of our investigating. And if MJ does not come back (and it seems as if not) then we definitley want to see justice in this case. I dont think MJ was in fear for nothing or to simply draw attention. :(

I do not believe clues were left. So that does not debunk the WPP scenario.

Most, if not all, of the "clues" are no clues but people only seeing what they want to see and reading what they want to read. The crap is analyzed out of almost everything and twisted in such a way that it appears yet another "clue". There is however no proof whatsoever that Michael left those "clues".

EDIT: I also believe Michael would not be so cruel to have everyone believe he was dead and then play sick games of leaving "hide and seek" clues. Someone who would do such a thing is utterly cruel and mean, or has some serious mental issues.
