VH1 ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE WORLD PREMIERES OF MICHAEL JACKSON'S "THEY DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT US" MUSIC VIDEO AND 30-MINUTE ORIGINAL SPECIAL, "ALL ACCESS: MAKING 'MICHAEL JACKSON'S THIS IS IT'"
"They Don't Really Care About Us" Music Video Premieres on VH1 and VH1.com Tuesday, January 19th at 10pm*
"All Access: Making 'Michael Jackson's This is It'" Premieres Saturday, January 23rd at 10pm*
NEW YORK, Jan. 15 -- VH1 and VH1.com will air the exclusive world premiere of Michael Jackson's "They Don't Really Care About Us" music video on Tuesday, January 19th at 10pm.* On Saturday, January 23rd at 10pm,* VH1 will also exclusively premiere a new 30-minute original special, "All Access: Making 'Michael Jackson's This Is It,'" including never-before-seen footage from the concert rehearsal.
The 30-minute special will take viewers behind the scenes of the making of "Michael Jackson's This Is It" tour prior to his untimely passing. The special, taken from footage from the critically acclaimed film "Michael Jackson's This Is It," will also include additional new content not previously seen in the blockbuster film. The special and music video premieres mark the first time that significant footage from the film will be broadcast on television. Both premieres will be simulcast on VH1, VH1 Classic, and Palladia.

MTV Networks (a division of Viacom ( VIA, VIA.B), acquired the exclusive United States television rights to air "Michael Jackson's This Is It" beginning in 2011. In raw and candid detail, "Michael Jackson's This Is It" is the last documentation of Michael Jackson at work, capturing the singer, dancer, filmmaker, architect, creative genius and great artist at work. One of the best reviewed films of the year, "Michael Jackson's This Is It" has reached over $250 million in box office receipts worldwide. Randy Phillips, Kenny Ortega and Paul Gongaware are producers. Executive producers are John Branca and John McClain.
The film is being distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Releasing. "Michael Jackson's This Is It" will be released by Sony Pictures Entertainment on DVD on Tuesday, January 26, 2010.

I remember one informer told us some time ago about Dome Project - its main part supposed to be a video to "They don't really care about us", but then it turned out, he was just a poser... So, I'm almost sure we'll see only some snippets from film... Actually, if u ask me now, even if He's alive, at this moment - I'm not sure if He's going to come back... I'm down now... :cry:

How do you do a making of "a making of" film? It makes no sense. And why a new video for "they dont care about us". the only thing I can get out of this is something HUGE may jump off on the 18th. We could all be living in a very DIFFERENT world after this Monday. Stay Tuned.

Thank you for this amazing post. I will try to see it if I can. I just love the short film and the song, They don't care about us! I love the Prison mix version (the short film) of They don't care about us. It is so powerful! I do agree that this song is a very interesting choice. Hmmmm, must be a clue! ;)

Throughout this whole hoax TDCAU seems to be hit on a lot. It was the first thing they released from his rehearsals to be shown on tv.
If this was a whole new video and not from tii, wouldn't most people kinda think that was weird? :P It's not a new song.

Wow. This is interesting. Hmmm! I hope SONY will eventually release more of Michael's live performances, concerts on dvd. Heaven knows they have already made a killing on Michael's back in these last 7 months. At least give us something we have been begging for forever. If you're reading this SONY, please at least think about it. If you want more money, get busy. I will be your best customer.

Thanks for the info! But I have a question. Sometime ago someone here mentioned that a month or so after the release of TII it will be another one with double DVD. Anybody knows if this is true?? because I wouldn't want to buy it and then realize that a better version is coming. :)

On another note, does anyone of you know if it will premiere in the VH1 all over the world or just in the US? that wouldn't be fair :| And how do you make a behind the scenes of something that supposedly we shouldn't have seen, because the footage was for MJ's private videos?? It's just like the slip up of some guy that said that MJ was very excited about the film or something like that!! well how was he excited about something that wasn't supposed to be made??
Well maybe they will show us how they took the ambulance pictures in two different days and the rehersals of the memorial service and the funeral!! :D

@MJlover19 Yes Prision is my favorite too..and honestly I remember it coming out and being this big controversy...they acted as if it was violent and disturbing but it really wasnt(especially for the time when alot of music and video really were)I remember it being said that this is why he made a second one. Now all I hear is that they made the prison one second,but I really remember they released brazil version after the whole big deal over the prison. Falso memory syndrom :roll:

Absolutely! The song is amazing the message is even better. Too bad they didn't put this one on one of the DVD's but we still can watch it online but when I do catch that one on VH1 or anywhere else I'm definitely recording it.

That´s as brilliant as meaningful, considering the chronological order of events and the message of this song...

weird.....I was just searching frantically online as I can't find anything on vh1.com or tvguide.com, etc. so was beginning to think this wasn't happening.....and then an advertisement JUST came on TV announcing vh1 "exclusive world premier of Michael Jackson's TDCAU video" showing the footage from TII and then a reminder to buy TII DVD on Jan 26th. Sooo, looks like this will be full performance of TDCAU during the TII "rehearsals"....I'm going to try to watch it but hopefully everyone else can share their thoughts as I might miss it :(

I just watched it on VH1 (on TV) and it seemed to be cut exactly from TII. If anyone else saw it and thought differently, let me know but I really think it was only to promote the DVD for those who didn't see TII at the theater.

This is the song and clip that was played over and over when he "died". The only footage released. It's one of the most complete scenes in the movie and he is dressed up. Now we get a video for it. It's advertisement for the DVD - but it's also carrying a message.
MLK, Freedom, Make your History - all very clever. ;) It's a major key in this whole thing, I am certain.

but at least I tought they would have added scenes or something like that.

OH MY GOSH! did anyone else hear another guy's voice singing "But if Martin Luther was livin'" at 2:07 and think it was weird????? why another voice and could it be of any significance?
and did this also happen in the TII movie? i don't rmb hearing an extra voice there...
Yeah, one of the backing singers also sings the line, it happens in the movie as well, but it seems clearer in this version.

I really like this clip...looks like an army marching at the sound of TDCAU....would Michael want to do with this song an "army"?? i mean an army against what is wrong..and star change it..we should look into it and analyse the video ;)

NEW YORK, Jan. 15 -- VH1 and VH1.com will air the exclusive world premiere of Michael Jackson's "They Don't Really Care About Us" music video on Tuesday, January 19th at 10pm.* On Saturday, January 23rd at 10pm,* VH1 will also exclusively premiere a new 30-minute original special, "All Access: Making 'Michael Jackson's This Is It,'" including never-before-seen footage from the concert rehearsal.
The 30-minute special will take viewers behind the scenes of the making of "Michael Jackson's This Is It" tour prior to his untimely passing. The special, taken from footage from the critically acclaimed film "Michael Jackson's This Is It," will also include additional new content not previously seen in the blockbuster film. The special and music video premieres mark the first time that significant footage from the film will be broadcast on television. Both premieres will be simulcast on VH1, VH1 Classic, and Palladia.
