I've heard somewhere along in my research that a death certificate with a name that is NOT your official name is not legitimate.
And look what we have here!

Even though Joe is a shortened version of Joseph, that is not Michael's real name.

I haven't actually heard of it before this. So I guess you could say it's kinda random for some little tabloid to be reporting it, unless I live under a rock and News of the World is like, the biggest tabloid ever. Have they gotten information wrong before?

Well, the key words is "appear" and "continues in security hold", therefore I conclude this DC may not be real at all.

News of the World and The Sun are huge!! Biggest tabloids in the UK, they make news up as they go along. I live in Liverpool, 20 years ago there was a bad accident at a football match 96 fans got crushed to death, it was horrible, all the fans were trying to help carrying bodies etc. The sun & News of the World reported that the fans were urinating on dead bodies and stealing from dead peoples pockets. Today in Liverpool we still boycott these papers. Years later they printed a tiny little retraction (after loosing lots of money) There was a public uproar. They also said they had proof that MJ was a sick child molester who used his superstardom to lure young kids- you decide..

Wow I had no idea! I feel stupid now haha. That's ridiculous about those stories. I guess they aren't really one to trust. But who can we trust? Everyones reporting this news... I just don't know.

Just for the record, it sounds like for everyone's sake, it's best not to take anything from the News of the World seriously, nor use them (or anything that resembles tabloid news) as a "source" to back up our investigative research. There's enough misinformation out there already. Let's use our BEST resources, not our WORST ones! All, agreed? ;)

Thank you for the information on News of the World. They sound like so many of the tabloids in America. Where is the accountability, anyway? No decency at all. It's frustrating! I had my doubts when I saw the article but now I will claim it to be false in my mind until we find something to validate it's legitimacy. Blessings.

That is disgusting. I thought that it was a tabloid and when I went to their home page, it confirmed it. If anyone thinks TMZ is bad, take a look at the other stories this tabloid runs. If I recall correctly, this is the same source for the pictures of Michael's bedroom from June 25th. I for one am not losing hope over anything this tabloid runs. ;)

Yes, but it was all started first by News of the World. In the last two days it has slowly at first and then rampant spread like wildfire to the point where there is now 1366 related stories about if you google Michael Jackson. News of the World says they contacted the coroner's office and verified that the CD is valid, so now everyone is reporting that the CD is legit. IDK. Something once again, just doesn't seem right.
"Just because you read it in a magazine or see it on the TV screen, don't make it factual."
I guess we will find out one way soon enough. I hope and pray that the real news is good news.
