Remember the possibility of Leezas Dave being MJ.... There might be a clue in the text above:
...scary and ...scarred... (I had a look into the dictionary, because I´m no native speaker) but these words are close together:
I know the pronunciation is different, but the roots of the words are the same. (leaving wounds on the soul or body)
He´s asking: "Am I scary for you baby ?" --> Do I leave wounds on you? Do I hurt you?
And he states: "You know you're scaring me too." --> You`re leaving wounds on me.
--> Could it be that this is not metaphorically speaking but meaning real scars like those he shows in the disguise of Dave Dave (even if they are smooth) and giving a clue in the song? like: --> You make me scar my face (put a mask on)
He is also speaking about "masquerade", "performance", "can the heart reveal the proof" and so on.
And there is something else that strikes me: Does anyone of you know why "Ghost" and "Is it scary?" are equal in chords and lyrics at the beginning? Maybe there´s a reason for it ? He quoted himself? For which purpose???? Did he ever do that again inspite of remixes?
Is "Is it scary?" just a variation of "Ghost"? So he could have done one song! What is the specific on "Is it scary?"
He is pointing out his ability for doing disguises and asking if it has any impact. He is stressing the hide and seek-theme....
I don´t know what to make of it. But I think the album "Blood on the dancefloor" is telling a story which is closely related to the preparation of the hoax.

I don´t stick to a certain theory. I´m just reading and listening...
In Morphine he is describing his death --> heart attack by a painkiller overdose . In "Is it Scary" he says what´s happening afterwards. You can hear heartbeats troughout the song (kind of bass-drum) and the sound of sb. breathing through an oxygene mask for resuscitation. At the end you hear the heartbeat twice and then stop (the end of the song).
I´m aware of the "Ghost"-video, what do you mean?

"Is It Scary" was originally written by Jackson for the 1993 film Addams Family Values. Paramount Pictures had signed Jackson to record a horror-themed song for the film (which became "Is It Scary") and to promote it with a video, but the song was dropped from the soundtrack due to contractual difficulties.

I think Michael was telling the world how he felt. He's sick and tired about tabloids writing crap about his nose or face.
He's saying he's gonna be exactly what the tabloids wanna see, or what they want him to be, then he asks Is it scary, now? It sounds like a threat, but then he says if you came to see the purity, it's inside his lonely heart. :cry: Tabloids didn't care about the beautiful songs he wrote, and what a gentle, altruistic man he was...good news doesn't sell. My opinion on his looks? He always looked fine to me, even at 50! :D

It seems to me as if MJ was playing ping-pong with the media. He was complaining about them in so many ways and he obviously had a reason for it, but he was addicted to them at the same time. Could you imagine his artistic work without all the "crap" from the media? They were his inspiration, though it sounds really hard!

The equal cords and lyrics in Ghost and Is it Scary sound like they may represent ***TWO*** as do the 2 heartbeats at the end of Is it Scary as in TWO Michaels.....TWO people....a double or Twin :)

One part that stands out for me in ghost is the line "NO BODY to be found" as a poster above typed it nobody.....BUT.....let's look at it as NO BODY to be found because there is no body. Nobody is dead.
