Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx (left and right, above) were just two of the big stars that hit the stage tonight to honor the memory of Michael Jackson at the Michael Forever tribute concert.

Jennifer Hudson was supposed to be among the performers, but tweeted just before the show, "To my uk fans that were coming to the mj show in wales. I will no longer be attentding due to major production issues."

Seriously, it's just passed 9pm in Cardiff, is this over already? And I am missing some folks on the pictures. Does someone know someone that was there? How do we know this really was a real concert? Sorry, but this is pretty weird, or am I the only one thinking that?

I've been working all day. I didn't get to see it at all! How long did it last?
With that many big stars, there has to be footage somewhere that will leak.

Must have been a boring concert... Is it me or does it look like they have offered free seats and are people sorry they even attended?

Where are all the fans with gloves and fedoras? The only one I see seems to be photoshopped into the picture. Sorry, but I have a hard time believing this actually happened. There is something strange with those pictures, it seems staged. I really would like to hear from someone who was there.

Blanket may be crying for numerous reasons, if it's real anyway. I don't know if and how often the kids see their dad, but if it's not that much or not at all, then I can understand his sadness. It's harder to explain to such a little kid, the other two are older and more independent.

He's beautiful by the way. Gonna break a lot of hearts as he grows older.

Maybe that Blanket was a little overwhelmed by what was going on, he is still a young child and can have difficulties to find his marks in such situations. I am sure that Blanket will smile again very soon if not yet already.  ::P

And with this news becomes more suspect...

Plug Pulled On Facebook Live Stream Of Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

Bad news for fans of the King of Pop: The Facebook livestream of Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert has been canceled.
Facebook commerce outfit Milyoni had teamed up with Ridgeline Entertainment for the October 8 event from Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, which will be hosted by Jamie Foxx, with scheduled performers including Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Hudson, and Smokey Robinson.

The event is still scheduled to proceed, but it won’t stream on Facebook. Milyoni explained in a statement:
Due to legal challenges brought by the music labels that own the rights to Michael Jackson’s lyrics, we have been notified by concert promoters Global Live Events and Ridgeline Entertainment that the live Facebook broadcast of the Michael Forever tribute concert has been canceled. As the technology provider behind the live Facebook broadcast, Milyoni will fully refund all customers who pre-purchased access to the concert using Facebook Credits or PayPal.

Milyoni Chief Executive Officer John Corpus added:
While social media presents a new opportunity for artists and concert promoters to reach global audiences, it is still a new and disruptive frontier ripe with challenges. Milyoni will continue to work closely with our music and entertainment partners to pursue this new channel of distribution, beneficial to both artists and fans worldwide.
If you’ve ever bought tickets for an event that got canceled, we’d love to hear from you in the comments section — what was the refund procedure like?

Sooo...the concert happened then? LOL

I don't know, it could all be just another big hoax with artists posing to create the look of a tribute concert.  But wouldn't that raise even more questions if these people don't know Michael is alive?

Paris was tweeting out of London so it would seem they are in the U.K. unless that's all pretend as well.

I personally think the tribute must have happened but that it was designed to show the parallels of the Cardiff giant hoax, to those paying attention and to those (us) who knew of the P.T. Barnum aspects of the hoax.

Is it all over? wow! I heard nothing about it anywhere else. And those people looks so bored.

I hate to see children cry, especially Michael's kids. Blanket could be crying because he could be missing his dad. I don't believe they're with their father every day. If he saw Michael in London and maybe Michael had to leave soon and that could be the reason why he cried. I love you Blankey.

Don't forget he is still young and shy.. That can do it for a child. He probably was crying because he hasn't seen his dad for a while. Or maybe these are tears of Joy. Who knows.

Who knows, maybe this tribute WILL actually happen...artists uniting for the LOVE of Michael Jackson...showing support to the Jackson family...and if they do livestream it, it'll get a lot more attention, a Live Aid show type-thingy.  While the trial is going on (maybe) and Dr. Murray's future apparently in the balance, we have people getting Michael-fever all over again...  Then what?

Should've been livestreamed, the rest is quite accurate I think.

Someone on Twitter who said they were there as a photographer said that Blanket was very nervous. someone later asked Paris about it and commented that it was cruel to make him go on stage but Paris responded by saying he went on stage of his own free will. They helped him out when he became overwhelmed.

My thought is that Blanket is so shy that he teared up when he became overly nervous and couldn't finish what he was saying.

This does have a very strange feel to it, however. With the BEP and Jennifer Hudson backing out at the last minute it left few acts. From what I could tell most artists sang more than one song. I would have thought it would be a steady stream of big name artists. Where are Michael's closest friends. Yes, Gladys was there and so was Smokey but where was Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, and Diana Ross? Where was Madonna? Where was Akon and Teddie Riley? Obee? How about that young kid who was going to perform at the 02..the one who sang at his memorial?

I just can't get past the line up. Beyonce made a performance by satellite? Really? This was not fitting for the greatest entertainer, Michael Jackson. I'm thoroughly disappointed so I'm holding out hope that a) this didn't happen or b) Michael did this intentionally.

Blessings :)

Blanket says something like "I'm very happy to introduce my father on this special night" then Paris corrects him and says" we're very happy  to be here to honor our father on this special night"

Did Blanket "slip up" or was he just nervous? Reminds me of when Prince messed up his speech at the Grammys!

Regardless...Michael's children are so Beautiful...Bless their little hearts! Michael must be so proud of them!

I wish I could have watched the concert, because without seeing it, I can't really judge whether there was something "fishy" about it, or if it was a genuine tribute.

Blessings and Love to all! bearhug

afraid/ afraid/ I didn't really listen because I thought he was just mumbling. You are totally right! Remember Blanket's youtube clips of him being silly and talking about Van Gogh, Monster's Mike Wazoski, and Star Wars themes?  I think he's playing his hoax parts as well! Little munchkin!! The next question is Where exactly is Michael that Blanket is introducing us to?  Looks like we'll have to start examining people closer.

Sooo...the concert happened then?

The concert had to happen.
They had to do it in Cardiff and nowhere else.
Lady Di was awarded "The Freedom of Cardiff" briefly after her marriage.

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGgiAzVjIWQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGgiAzVjIWQ)

We all know what happened afterwards.

Look at these photographs.
Coincidence or last warning by the man who "is still dead" and has no other voice but of those standing up taking his place?

Now anybody tell me nobody in the family knows what they are doing.
They do, each one of them, to a different degree.
Again I stand amazed and speechless of their bravery and courage.

Those are interesting photos.  All Getty Images again.

Looks to me that this is either not Christina or someone decided to photoshop her to add some pounds.    And those ballerinas?  Look more like men.  But certainly not the anorexic looking ballerinas customarily seen in professional revues.

Not so sure about LaToya.  Is it really her?  All I've seen is this one photo.

I'm beginning to think none of this happened.

Of course Blanket would have been nervous, but it makes me think he was supposed to say that, so that it would be an intentional slip-up. The way Paris jumps right in and corrects him was pretty improvisational (and she does want to be an actress) ;)

Daily Mail being mean to Christina:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2046954/Now-thats-Bad-Christina-Aguilera-hits-low-note-unflattering-costume-Michael-Jackson-tribute-concert.html (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2046954/Now-thats-Bad-Christina-Aguilera-hits-low-note-unflattering-costume-Michael-Jackson-tribute-concert.html)

You know, that looks photoshopped to me to make her upper thighs and stomach larger.  Notice the photos are by Getty Images.  I'm betting this concert never happened.

And every comment on that site is about Christina. Not at all about the kids (and how they are clearly Michael's biological kids), and any other artists.
You know, if this tribute happened, then its messed up what they said about Aguilera. Atleast she came through and attended. She didn't back out like most.

Here's another video of Prince, Paris, Blanket introducing Beyonce, she sang "I Wanna Be Where You Are"

Looks like we'll have to start examining people closer.

 afraid/  afraid/  afraid/

Yes Blankey exactly says that. That can be a slip up as he was very excited but can it also be an intentional slip-up? ;) Why not I say. These kids are so smart and I'm sure that they are playing their parts so well in the hoax. I think little Blakey could have joined the game plan to do his act.  I would say awwwwwwwwww once again. I love them A LOT.

Wow, that's a snarky comment...  WTF?? I know people her age with way more surgery, yet they don't look that good. Besides that, she still has an amazing body. She obviously takes good care of herself, plus the Jacksons clearly have good genes. Or did you think Katherine had much surgery too? And what about Mike's other siblings? They all look amazing for their age.

Quote
boo
1: An affectionate name for someone you love.

2: Something that a ghost says.

Perhaps this is why the MJ Tribute concert HAD to take place during the trial.  MJ the friendly ghost is saying to the people and world he loves, I love you and this is ALL -- "Thriller 2" (Paris' jacket)--trial, death and all, a scare just for fun! This is all Thriller 2, because I had to top Thriller, and I promised 'the best is yet to come'.
"Boo!" is also a more kid-friendly kind of scare, that kinda reminds me of MJ's Ghost video where the kids love it!

Did I hear that the verdict of the trial was coming out on October 31 or was that my imagination?

Her belt looks like a word but I can't make it out. The buckle looks like a shirt with buttons.
Quote
"I'm gonna button my shirt
or my jacket or whatever it is.
I'm gonna look around a little bit,
play with them.

Snap my fingers maybe, then bam!

I'm still of a mind this event didn't happen.  The video footage from welshchick2 is horrid I couldn't watch Beyonce or Ne-Yo.  Someone on Youtube made a great comment.

WTF did you film this with???A potatoe??And why do you keep zooming in and out when you know it ruins the sound??

Is she the only person out of 50,000 that managed to take videos?  I also think the background noise sounds fake.  Are we back at the 02 announcement?

Must have been a boring concert... Is it me or does it look like they have offered free seats and are people sorry they even attended?

Where are all the fans with gloves and fedoras? The only one I see seems to be photoshopped into the picture. Sorry, but I have a hard time believing this actually happened. There is something strange with those pictures, it seems staged. I really would like to hear from someone who was there.

Actually, it wasn't a boring concert at all. The show was very special and awsome mj_dance/ . As I've witnessed the reactions of the crowd they didn't find it boring as well. I admit that this picture doesn't represent the over all atmosphere in the arena, imho. I've seen people laughing, yelling, singing, crying, hands up and an amazing crowd wave. There were some MJ look-a-likes michael-jackson/ , many gloves and MJ hats, I've seen from a far distance an impersonator. Jamie Foxx did a great job, he's a great entertainer with a good sense of humor. As far as the hoax investigation concerns, I wasn't really a good investigator  during the concert, may be because I was too overwhelmed and sometimes too emotional that my hoax vision was a bit blurred. It was striking that Marlon asked the crowd: "Can you feel the spirit of Michael in the house tonight?"  8-) ;) YES, I did! And there was one moment that Latoya (I think) anounced a BIG SURPRISE with a pauze.... Well, that was pretty clear to me, not only to me, to my husband as well and he's NOT a beLIEver. I think Jamie talked about a surprise as well. What could've been a surprise if the list of performers has already been announced long before the concert? They know how to build a tension, especially for beLIEvers, keep it sizzling & simmering ;)
Anyways, I did have a great time, I loved it. I hope you did too Michael :-*
L.O.V.E.

CARDIFF, Wales >> Chart-toppers, soul singers and three generations of Michael Jackson's family — including his children — celebrated the King of Pop at an energetic tribute concert Saturday, urging fans to focus on the late star's music rather than his death.
The run-up to the "Michael Forever" concert was overshadowed by the Los Angeles manslaughter trial of Jackson's doctor, and marred by fan criticism, sluggish ticket sales and dissension within the Jackson family. But once the four-hour show started, Jackson's musical genius, and the warm tributes of friends and family, carried the night.
"We're very happy to be here on this special night to honor our father," said Jackson's 13-year-old daughter Paris, who made a brief onstage appearance alongside brothers Prince, 14, and 9-year-old Michael Joseph Jr., known as Blanket.
The children wore outfits evoking their father's famous styles — Paris most strikingly, in a red and black "Thriller"-style jacket. Blanket stood stoic and shy, but the older children smiled and appeared confident in the spotlight.
On a stage shaped like a giant glove, musicians including Christina Aguilera, Gladys Knight and Cee Lo Green performed songs from across Jackson's career — from his childhood with the Jackson 5 through monster solo albums like "Thriller" and "Bad."
The Black Eyed Peas, probably the biggest act on the bill, pulled out of the lineup this week, citing "unavoidable circumstances."
Participants urged fans to ignore the criticism and controversy, and to revel in the celebration of Jackson's musical legacy.
"It's not about the controversy," said R&B star Ne-Yo, who kicked off the show with a rendition of "Billie Jean," complete with some passable moonwalking. "It's not about the trial. It's not about his death. It's about celebrating his life. It's about celebrating his music."
The 50,000-strong crowd at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium did just that, roaring with approval as Jackson's brothers Marlon, Tito and Jackie — three-fifths of the original Jackson 5 — took the stage to perform "Blame It On the Boogie" with British boyband JLS.
"Can you feel his spirit in the house tonight?"   asked Marlon. Judging by the cheers, the fedora hats and the sequined gloves in the audience, many could.
Jackson died in June 2009, at age 50, as he was preparing for a string of comeback concerts in London.
His last hours are being relived in graphic detail at the manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, accused of giving Jackson a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol and other sedatives in the bedroom of his rented mansion on June 25, 2009.
"This is a great counter-act to that," said Motown great Smokey Robinson, who gave a soulful rendition of "She's Out of My Life." ''And it gives people something happy to do, rather than thinking about what's going on in the trial."
The show mined a rich trove of Jackson hits. Leona Lewis crooned "I'll Be There," Beyonce delivered the early single "I Wanna Be Where You Are" and Jamie Foxx performed "Rock With You." Aguilera sang Charlie Chaplin's "Smile" — one of Jackson's favorite songs.
"Tonight is a history lesson," Foxx told the crowd. "We're going to cover five decades of greatness."
The show reached a climax with Knight performing the poignant "Gone Too Soon" before a rousing finale that brought most of the performers — and the Jackson children — back onstage for the exuberant "Don't Stop Til' You Get Enough."
The concert has divided the King of Pop's family and followers. The three brothers, sister La Toya and vocal group 3T — composed of three of Michael's nephews — all performed, while 81-year-old matriarch Katherine was in the audience.
But Michael's brothers Jermaine and Randy and sister Janet have stayed away, saying it is wrong to hold the show at the same time as Murray's trial.
Before the show, Marlon Jackson said he respected his siblings' decision, but said he was sure Michael would have approved.
"Each one of us grieves differently," he said. "We want to celebrate the positive side of his life, the positive things that he did."
Some fan groups around also criticized the show for ticket prices that started at about $100 and for what some regard as an out-of-the-way location in Cardiff, 150 miles (240 kilometers) west of London.
"I believe it should wait, not only because of the Murray trial," said Wesley Noorhoff, president of a Dutch Michael Jackson fan club. "If you do a tribute to Michael, it has to be the best there is, just like Michael."
But those who came to Cardiff said it was a fitting antidote to the grim courtroom spectacle in Los Angeles.
"There's a lot of negativity in that courtroom," said Ronnie Lee, a 32-year-old truck driver from Pembroke, Wales, sporting a "Thriller" T-shirt. "This is a chance to say, 'Thank you Michael' and celebrate the music."
As the crowd poured out of the stadium, opinion was divided.
"Rubbish," said Sophie Stockdale, 23. "If you wanted to watch Beyonce on video link, you could do it on YouTube."
But Sophie Morris, also 23, said she'd loved it.
"It was amazing," she said. "I actually cried three or four times."

Yes it did happen and I was there... as a resident of Cardiff I was thrilled when it was announced that the Michael Forever Concert was coming to Cardiff. Upon enquiring about purchasing tickets we had the donation fiasco then the countdown clock purchasing tickets fiasco ...but.. none the less I still wanted to attend and was informed on Thursday 6th October that tickets were being sold half price at Ticketline and Groupon and vouchercloud...I rang Ticketline and asked why they were halfprice and the guy said that only 15,OOO tickets had been sold ...and that the stadium capacity was for 74,OOO people... we purched "gold standing tickets" from Vouchercloud for £45.OO  whoop whoop  we thought... we met up with friends in a local pub ...and bragged about our halfprice tickets and were flabbergasted when they informed us that they had tickets FREE  ..from Cardiff City Council or the Welsh Tourist office as they worked for them ...I would imagine that this was to get "bums on seats" as the concert was being recorded . Whilst I did enjoy Tito,Marlon,Jackie ,Smokey and Gladys the likes of Britains Got Talent and the XFactor contestants Alexandra Burke,Leona Lewis,JLS and Diversity were all really good acts we felt that Michael deserved bigger stars to fill their shoes ..where were they ????  Considering the stage was built as the largest event rig ever used at a european stadium ...where were the massive screens normally used at a major event ..we were reduced to tiny portable television screens posistioned in the seating area ...GRRRRR  also long breaks between performers whilst they swept and mopped the stage to no Michael Jackson songs playing in the background to keep the crowd motivated ...just silence....very poorly organized by Globalevents.  I attended Michaels concert in the late 80"s in Cardiff and he was AMAZING ..the amtomosphere was electric... I felt none of this at this show. The highlight for me was when the children came on stage ...

I think that it could be Michael's intention to let artists in different career stages perform. Some of them are in a beginning stage of their career and some are artists who deserve much more credit and they need to shine, or they need to shine again. This tribute concert might be an excellent chance to shine in the spotlights. This concert is not just for the public, it’s also for the artists who deserve more, it's all for L.O.V.E.

It depends on your expectations and your personal perspective. Of course it is your opinion, which is based on your experience of a Michael Jackson concert. I've never experienced this, but I'd imagine the electric atmosphere Michael created at his concerts, which will never be equalized (unless Michael performs again of course  ;D ). I think this tribute concert didn't have the intention or the goal to be equalized or be compared with a Michael Jackson concert in the first place. Hope you enjoyed it anyway.

Michael's children did really well and they look amazing. Blanket is adorable. I bet Michael is super duper proud of them.

I think Blanket might have had his introduction in joining his older siblings on the acting front at this Tribute.

I think his little "slip up" was intentional. If you look at the gesture Prince gives Paris straight after Blanket say his bit..... he sort of motions to Paris indicating almost like OK now you are meant to step in and say your line which is meant to be the "official " line.

Where's the audience?

Check out the empty seats at the beginning of this video of the Tribute.

Something is very wrong here.

Off topic but... that top is FABULOUS!

Can I be like LaToya when I grow up! Looking pretty good @ 55 yrs old.....yesssssssssss, love the outfit!  :)

Of course, find yourself a good plastic surgeon and you can look forever young.  She had lots of surgery to look that way.

First of all Souza I said the truth. She is a beautiful woman, nice body yes. Please your language.. for me  WTF??  is  vulgar. I will never swear at you or at any other human being. We all have our own opinion and maybe you should start respecting it. I did not talk bad about LaToya. I like her very much. Secondly, I did not talk about Katherine or her children, so please stop putting words in my mouth, and stop analysing what is in my head, because you will never guess in a million years. In life you can tell a person what ever you want, it is the way you say it. Maybe you should try it sometimes. I wish you a good night and blessings.

Toya looks great and Paris looks a lot like her aunt. :)

And although La Toya has had cosmetic surgery, she doesn't look fake at all. She deserves a lot of credit for the way she looks because her body is bangin' and her skin is flawless  ::P . We all have to keep in mind that Hollywood pressures celebrities to always 'look good for the camera'. We must not judge her, we wouldn't want to be judged ourselves.

This is irritating.  Everyone's reviewing this like it was a real event instead of investigating and analyzing the event (real or not) in terms of clues.

For example, is it an accident that there are 2 sets of white rabbit ears in the audience?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTmdWUNdKvY

How are we to take this tribute seriously?  We need not go down the list of strange and ridiculous events again.   Read comments on the Youtube videos that have been posted.  THE Tribute for the King of Pop was by all accounts a flop.  I saw tons of empty seats.  No performance took my breath away or made me cry.  I would think for a Tribute the kids would be more circumspect, but instead Paris smiles and yells, 'Give it up for Beyonce.'

Where was Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder.....?  Why was there no footage of Michael shown?  Frankly it looked like a large disco and nothing more.   We all know Michael's genius.  Could he really have been involved in something this lame if it wasn't intentional?  If so, what was he trying to say?

Christina's horrid photos (and I believe they were deliberately horrid) and her singing Dirty Diana in Wales....MAYBE there's a clue here????

Blanket says something like "I'm very happy to introduce my father on this special night" then Paris corrects him and says" we're very happy  to be here to honor our father on this special night"

Billy Bush on Access Hollywood Live was commenting on this statement and he said " I bet everyone was waiting for Michael Jackson to walk out and say, SURPRISE, I'm ALIVE!!!"  OMG!

Funny he said that....then they moved on to another story...

I'm in the process of reading jermaine's book, Joe was organizing a concert in Japan or China ( not sure which) during the 2005 trial...maybe he's behind this mockery...and yes, it was a mockery...what a disgrace to Michael....

I haven't watched the concert so I can not say anything about it. But from what I read, I can say that it was a disappointment for some of the fans. And if you ask me, IF Michael was gone for real, the tribute would be an amazing one which was full of his friends like Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder and all of them. The tribute would ROCK THE WORLD if Michael was really gone.

I believe that Michael wanted to give the fans a tribute who were asking for a tribute. It shouldn't be a spectacular one because he is alive but still some of the fans enjoyed themselves with the concert. He did it to satisfy non-believers' tribute requests. So, noone will be asking for a tribute now on.

Sorry, but this is not consistent with anything we've looked at before.  Why would Michael carefully plan in minute and amazing detail this whole hoax and then slap together a half hearted tribute just to satisfy his fans and do it during the trial?  Why is the footage we've seen so unconvincing?  Why so many empty seats?

Why did Blanket make that 'mistake'?  Was Michael being introduced?

Wow......that's very interesting.  Jackieblue's video talked quite a bit about this Day of AtOneMent.  I'm sure we're missing something significant with this tribute.

Why Ne-Yo for example.  Was it a reference to NEO from the Matrix?  The ONE?

Again we have a pregnant woman in center stage.  Oddly, Jennifer Hudson canceled at the last minute.

And there's no way Blanket's slip up was a mistake.  I didn't even hear it until Paris called attention to it with her correction.  And what's with the afro wig?  It might have made sense if she did a medley of songs from his early years, but she did not.

Oh my God you will never believed this, but yesterday when I was at my grandmother I saw something !!Usually I dont watch Tv,but when I was there at one point I felt the need to wacth some music on MTV.Last week  week when the Tribute was,I asked MJFAN7 what is with this photo:

Then she said to me this:

The Ant is from Alien Ant Farm's Band.. they did a nice rock cover of Smooth Criminal a few years ago.

Now as I told you I was watching some video-clips on MTV,when suddenly this video came up,lol.I didnt knew before that ALIEN Ant Farm is a group, and they sing .While I was watching I saw a monkey that looked like Bubbles, some dance from Thriller, and the floor from Billie Jean.
What made me go  OMG!,was LIZ TAYLOR tatto on someone shoulder!!!!!!!Isn't this strange  :?????Why Alien Ant Farm was at Michael's tribute, because they dont have any history with Michael,or maybe they have, but we don't know ???????? They made the music for many movies we already disscussed here related to Hoax and who knows maybe is more that meets the eye.Maybe we will know in the near future. Also, A new, remastered/re-released version of Smooth Criminal can be found on the soundrack of The Green Hornet movie, done by SONY   8-)...........Mmmmm

Yes, they did a cover of Smooth Criminal & their music video was a parody of Michael's life. I guess the only reason they were invited was because of the cover, i can't think of any other reason.  suspicious//
