I saw that Epic records changed their banner, added Michael on his toes and they made an interesting post. Here is a screenshot for you guys to see.

The video they give the link of is the BAD video. But instead of Bad, they wrote I'm Back. I'm not so sure what to make of it but can it be about the person called Back or is it a clue about him turning back? What do you guys think about this? And just for the record, the Official Michael Jackson Twitter Page posted this picture just an hour ago.

OH WOW!!! This is so very interesting. I just went to http://www.epicrecords.com/news and they are showing a different banner BUT directly below it they are still showing their latest tweet as being the one you mentioned saying "I'M BACK" with the link to MJ's BAD video.

If you type epicrecords.com in your browser, it displays the cover of the Michael album before you can even get to the main site....so the focus is definitely on MJ. :)

This seemed very interesting to me too and what's all with the Bad theme? Remember we talked about why they were using old pictures of Michael only? I'm sure that Michael has someones on his side at Sony and Epic and this is a clue. Did you guys think that he wanted to mean Back is Michael himself with I'm Back? I'm talking about the Back who was writing at the community. But also this can be a clue about the return or both meanings at the same time. I don't know really but this is very interesting.

English is not my native language so I'm not so sure where they use ISSUE. It is used for magazines as far as I know. Can it be about how many copies they published? 7 copies? I don't think it is about copies tho. Or issue=VERSION? But what version? What a koincidank it is by the way. lolol/

Off the wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, History, Blood on the dance floor, Invincible, Number Ones were produced with Epic.
"Michael" is not the 7th album, only if we don't count the remix and Number ones.
Issue, by my limited english knowledges, also means "problem", "affair", "subject", "topic" or something like that.
Anyway, this happened on June 2nd, so TR's prediction seems to come true after all :lol:

I asked in my first post in this thread about the date of May 13th. I just looked at the calendar and noticed it was a FRIDAY the 13th. Some think that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day...maybe Epic Records tweeting MJ's BAD video and saying "I'M BACK" was Michael's way of making it a GREAT DAY?! lolol/

Issue could also mean like a magazine issue. It's the 7th issue. Coincidence? Could be.

They've been using the Michael cover since November 2010. :) I tried typing in DEC2010.jpg and got nothing, but I tried a month before with OCT2010.jpg and of course got issue 06.

Maybe Epic Records was lining up for Michael to be issue 7 and keeping that issue there for a few months? Or is Michael that big of an album hit that it needs to be there for a 7 months?
I think timing has a lot to do with it. We notice Epic Records 7 months later with their I'm Back tweet connected to the 7th MJ album and stumble upon issue 07 with the Michael album cover, where it just so happens that track 7 is Breaking News.
If only it were the 7th month, eh? ;)

Why all of a sudden Michael's Bad video is Breaking News? :? For me all his video are always BREAKING NEWS :D, but i just don't get why BAD is so popular now.
It might be for the BAD tour DVD (i want it SO MUCH bounce/), but i'm not sure. IDK

Something's building, "simmering", and we'll obviously have to "keep watching". Whatever it is I'm looking forward to it. Another record would of course thrill me! I really liked the BACK music video with all those song snippets! I don't think so. MJ's official twitter account posted a Bad theme picture at the same time, those can not be coincidences and I do not believe they would write Back instead of Bad. Who doesn't know his song Bad on this earth and especially the ones who work for Epic records and makes the posts for them on Twitter? That's not possible imo. The song's name is not Back, it is Bad. Why would they write I'm Back by mistake? They would write Back only if that was a mistake.

For me it's just advertising for the Album Michael.

I am not sure what to make of this. It sure seems to be just a nice way of promoting, but the word chosing is a little bit overlimit. But maybe I just look at it through my hoax eyes while the rest of the world would think it's just not literal bringing Michael's albums back to charts.

I just hope we're close to the end, to tell them "I told you so. 8-) ". Also for Michael, to show to the world to not believe everything they see in the medias, and such all other things he wants to tell us thanks to this hoax and soon, I hope, the comeback. :)

What if he doesn't come back, will you think less of yourself because you allowed yourself to be fooled with false hopes?
If he DOES come back I think you'll be too happy to even care to tell them "I told you so".

Although, I have to agree, the official MJ Twitter feed posting a Bad pic and the Epic tweet with a link to the Bad short film is interesting, considering the official MJ site/Twitter already posted something on the day. Usually, it's one thing on any given day.
Tomorrow may hold a Bad Tour DVD announcement, or Behind the Mask video's release date announcement, some Cirque news, or new album news. Only a few hours to go until we find it. Definitely too soon for a Bam; my gut feeling.

I have been saying for a long time that the lyrics to "Bad" are significant to this hoax. If you substitute the word "bad" for "back" everytime, the song makes more sense. I also mentioned the possibility that BAD was intended to be an acronym, maybe for "Back After Death"...hence the all-caps. If you listen to the lyrics and keep the hoax in mind, the song really hits a whole new level. It makes sense too, because everyone noticed a "new" Michael Jackson when that album/song came out. He looked different, he acted different, he sang different (not completely, but you know what I mean). It is my belief that this was around the time when he started to break free from the control he was under...he started to take steps to gain full control of his life and music. The enemy fought back and tried to bring him down...but he had anticipated that because he knew how the industry works...so he planned ahead...aka...death hoax. I think of the song "Bad" as an introductory AND grand finale song to this hoax. "My friends you ain't seen nothin'...just wait til I get through." I was going to comment how handsome Michael looks in that pic posted on the 1st page but i see that the thread is getting to another direction with once again the same common factor following the same pattern.
However, going on with my post, when I saw that pic my heart jumped. Michael looks like in the bad era but a bit older (or is just me influenced by a conversation i had earlier today. Koinkidink).
Going back to Epic would mean the end of Sony era? Could all this hoax be just for contractual policy? "Sony" Michael Jackson being free and back to Michael?

That's very a interesting mini-theory. There's certainly something going on with the many references to Bad era Michael in this whole fake death thing. You also can't ignore the Sony involvement. Are they in on it? Are they being hoaxed as well? Stay tuned... it's a great story for sure.

I think it's a legit clue (the, "I'M BACK"----> Bad video link). I also think it's almost 100% necessary for someone at Sony to be in on this. It would explain a great deal, especially in regards to this new Michael hoax album.

The video they give the link of is the BAD video. But instead of Bad, they wrote I'm Back. I'm not so sure what to make of it but can it be about the person called Back or is it a clue about him turning back? What do you guys think about this? And just for the record, the Official Michael Jackson Twitter Page posted this picture just an hour ago.

CC - could you explain your thought a little more? I'm not following you but it's an interesting idea. I just don't know how it would benefit either Sony or Michael.
About Michael leaving Sony - that new history breaking deal with Sony that the Estate made was for 10 years, right? We mustn't forget that he's forever (or unless it's sold) tied to Sony with the ATV catalog. He has a lot at stake being 1/2 owner. However, with his clout in Sony/ATV and with his value in Epic, that would make him pretty powerful in the Sony world as he holds a lot of influence in both subsidiaries, IMO.
I keep thinking about a video I saw (still waiting for the next part to come out) where they said Michael has been buying up stock in Sony Entertainment. I would die laughing if he came back and said he outwitted Sony by buying up the majority of Sony stock. However, I think that's impossible as one would have to disclose who they are. But it's fun to think about.
I, also think that Sony is involved in this hoax. At least some at the top would need to know. There is no way that they can't be. But that's just my belief. Blessings.

Mj say he OWNS half of Sony, so maybe at some point sony say: It´s enough, you can take it from here and MJ say: OK, I leave you but I want Epic... something like that LOL and that´s when MJ became the Epic owner.
At some point (i think in the killer thriller party speech) Mj say that he only have to do 1 more bookset for sony and he will be free so... maybe this is it was the bookset and now he is free...

Ok, I see it this way: Thriller album is Michael's most successful album. Michael expected BAD to outsell Thriller, but was unsuccessful in his attempts. I think BAD started this self competition for Mike, he wanted to outdo Thriller. In an interview Michael says that he never keeps Grammys, Awards or anything in his house because he wants to constantly feel like he hasn't accomplished anything. The BAD era has a lot to do with anti-industry and its the era when people began to question his appearance and his choice of style and song. After BAD, everything he did was 'shocking' and 'controversial'. Thriller era, he was America's Prince who could do nothing wrong :). BAD era, he breaks away from his good boy image and shows his true creativity and originality. BAD is where it starts, in my opnion. BAD is when Michael became Michael. And I believe there is more than just one reason why this hoax is necessary in his career. TII concert tickets were selling like hot cakes, but the TII concert announcement was just a bit of a shake up for us, to get some new and exciting attention. The hoax is the pre-show and of course there is more to come (lets hope).
BAD era probably has more significance than just this, but this is the best I can do right now. I'm pretty sleepy!

I didn't move anything, i think my post was taken out of context. I was going to post a reply to someone, but figured it would be better if I put it in the Negativity Thread instead of here and the post in question was not meant to hurt Jentletouch's feelings, but merely to explain to him/her why I felt a certain way. You know, freedom of expression, that whole thing :). I felt it would be more appropriate there and I thought I was doing the right thing. But if not, I apologize to anyone who disagrees. Souza hasn't said anything about it so I'm not too worried, and its sort of old news by now anyway if it was ever news to begin with. But my intentions were to keep this thread on topic since I felt bad that I had participated in getting it off topic in the first place.

I copied this from the Wikipedia - I think that this whole "Event" (I don't like calling it a hoax, because there is so much more to it than just a hoax) is based on the BAD Album. If you look at all the subplots of this "Great Show" ie the memorial, etc... it seems to tie into all the titles of the songs. Liberian Girl for sure is the basis of this whole "Event" except on a world wide scale. Man in the Mirror was definitely talked about alot and also Smooth Criminal. Many of the songs from This is It are from the BAD album. Perhaps we need to take a closer look at the words of these songs and what they meant to Michael.
