Oprah Winfrey's final show airing this Wednesday will be the biggest farewell that television has seen in nearly 20 years. The last time anyone leaving a TV show got this much attention was when Johnny Carson left 'The Tonight Show' in 1992. Ending 'Oprah' after 25 landmark years, the daytime queen is expected to break her own ratings records.
It's basically a three-day goodbye. On Monday and Tuesday the show will come to you from an arena. Oprah had nothing to do with these two shows but rather let her staff produced front-to-back, inviting some of their boss's favorite celebs to perform and say goodbye. These two shows were taped last week in Chicago from the United Center.
However, we know very little about the actual ending, which airs Wednesday. The woman who hates to be surprised is going to do just that to her legion of fans.
"Oprah wanted to keep the final show a mystery," an insider tells me. "We know almost nothing about what is going to happen. As recently as last week Oprah still hadn't decided if the show would be live or taped which seems to indicate that a huge celebrity send off is unlikely as the stars would have needed to schedule a trip to Chicago."
Of course, I'm sure that if come tomorrow a celeb gets "the call," they won't hesitate to drop everything and travel thousands of miles to be there.
One thing is certain: the whole World will be watching no matter how Oprah decides to say bye-bye. Advertisers are already clamoring to pay $1 million dollars for a 30-second spot on the broadcast. Will you be watching? Right, dumb question ... OF COURSE you'll be watching.

Rumor has it that it will be Will Smith. But why would he be the final guest? Not saying anything bad about Will Smith, I happened to love his movies, but come on, the LAST guest of Oprah Show HiStory? It's got to be somebody besides him. And she has already had Obama on there, so it wouldn't be the President. I can't think of anyone else big enough that would cover...what did they say? The show reaches over 150 countries?????
It more than likely will not be MJ, but I'm nust really wondering who it is. And, I know, she's probably a nut job, but I just watch a Pearl Jr. clip of a video and she pointed out that the background music of the Oprah commercial for the finale shows were the same music that is played on hundreds of Michael Jackson death hoax videos. And ya, know...she was RIGHT! It is. go listen to the commercial for the Oprah Final show finales. It's one and the same. Seems a bit of a cawinkydink to me ;)

No offense, but Oprah has been saying for some time now that her finale will "blow our minds!!!!" In all honesty, I have seen nothing of this at all!!!!
There is only one guest, in my mind, who could accomplish this, and only we know who that is. Will she live up to her own words and hype!?!?!?!!?!? Come on Oprah! Don't let us down!

fordtocarr, you can tape it. Or if you have a PVR receiver satelite you can record it.. You have options. I do feel could be Michael, Oprah stated she may have it recorded. If it is recorded it could be a possibility Michael.. Maybe he is not in the arena or wherever they will be, but maybe by satelite.. He can be somewhere else, and he will tell us he is fine, but cannot devolge any information where he is.. I am just saying could be a possibility. Do not give up hope nor faith.

Just heard a bit of Suze Orman on the Joy Behar show tonight talking about Oprah's finale. Stedman was discussed and they made it sound like he could be the surprise. I think from what I saw on Oprah today, it will continue to bore me. The surprise guests are no surprise at all and not too exciting so will it just continue that way??...yawn.
I don't think Oprah's people would want to take the spotlight from her and have someone as spectacular as MJ...
he will steal the show and they would all be fired !!!

I thought about that too, Steadman, Gayle King, Maya Angelou, the people who Oprah adore most in her life. At any rate, I won't be disappointed and won't be able to watch it. I'm working when her show aires.

The show is being taped now in Chicago. Taping started 1 Pm Central time. I wonder if there will be leaks... Seems difficult to keep anything hyped that much secret in our digital age.

Well, then it will play, starting EST...so they'll know first who the guests are. It will hit the net right away. Plus even in the EST, Oprah is shown at all different times of the day...so I, being in this first time zone could see and know first, but my area don't show Oprah until 4pm. Other areas show her earlier. I don't think Michael would return at different time zones, or prerecorded...I think it will be LIVE and monumental so the whole world could know. Just as with the "death", but the return itself would be much more colossal, as WHO RETURNS FROM DEATH???

I won't be tuning in - sorry, Michael. If you want my attention you'll have to give me a better sign.
Anyway, I was thinking. She will probably have the ones on her show that she helped give a boost to, like Dr OZ, Dr Phil, etc. She will have a time of reflection, maybe give a gimpse of her favorite shows and then she'll probably turn to her staff members and say "YOU GET A CAR, AND YOU GET A CAR, etc., etc., etc"!

I know CM is a lot taller, but could he be wearing some type of platform shoe, or some type of stilts, like construction people wear to paint ceilings, etc.? It just seems so bizarre, that CM has been at the cemetary, doing that weird message on youtube, and now being seen at Disneyland, of all places.
Who in their right mind would be seen at a person's grave that they were accused of killing????

Seriously? All that "media hype" just for Oprah?? If it's true, then I have lost some respect for her, but maybe, just maybe, it's not the truth...lets hope anyway, still not sure whether I believe it would be Michael though.

I know most will say no, CM cannot be MJ. But, I'm of the minority like you who says "perhaps". Wouldn't that be a huge surprise? Sometimes we see CM and he's a lighter color, sometimes darker, sometimes spotted. Sometimes he looks different. Who knows but the truth will prevail so we just need to pay attention and see it through to the end.

I don't think Michael will be there face to face with Oprah. If and I said If, he is the big big surprise, he probably will be talking by satelite, or skype. He will not be there persay. I don't know about this, I been having mixed feelings about this. I honestly hope God can grant us Michael so he can show us he is doing fine, and he can explain why he hoaxed his death.

Hi I live in the Chicago area and just watched the local late news and they interviewed people leaving todays final show. There were no guests and no surprises, just Oprah herself for the hour. Few of the ladies they interviewed were very impressed with the show, one said she cried most of the show. So we shall see how it all ends tomorrow, maybe, I just might be busy when its on. Take Care

The show is about Oprah and her show, "how she changed the world", etc., crap like that she supposedly has accomplished for others during those years. She might have done things, but it is definitely exaggerated a lot. I guess americans got nothing to do........., or spend money on something more useful.

I had a feeling that this is how her last show would be, although I did think it would be a little more of a walk down memory lane. It sounds like she will be spending a lot of time thanking people and according to an MSN article I just read, Stedman makes another appearance.

Well knock me over with a feather. What a disapointment. I didn't figure MJ would be on it, but a tiny part of me was hoping, at least for some type of clue if nothing else.
I am really depressed. Now all those stupid Jermaine tweets are entering my head. Why in the hell would he tweet about the hoax or NON hoax after two frickin' years? Is he just trying to some how promote his book? I mean, you know the family knew about us all before now.
So, where do we go from here? Just wait for the trial? And did it ever say who the "surprise" witness the prosecution had that the defense did not know about?
And just one more thing. IF he really died, then why didn't they have an open casket? He supposedly had full makeup, he wasn't disfigured or anything like that. So why not let his fans see him? James Brown's casket was open, I believe even Elvis was too. Because MJ was not really in that casket, that's why, right???!!!!

MeandMyShadow-You really could not have stated it much better! I believe the closed casket says it all.....how much clearer can it be, really?
As for Oprah, it is a huge disappointment. From an emotional standpoint, I also feel that she owes it to MJ, as a form of retribution, to assist him with his BAM. However, I have a feeling he has that covered. Plus, it really doesn't surprise me at this point, she would opt to go out as she has---it is human nature to toot your own horn when you are that important, I guess. Also, from MJ's perspective.....would he really want to involve her? I think not! Plus, even though I can purport not to personally know the man......I have a feeling he is decent and would not interfere with anyone else's fame or limelight. So, even though I really feel it is not the appropriate time for him to make his comeback (per his ultra important time line)........we have also got to consider the fact that many news worthy events have been occurring that he may not wish to compete with-----the Royal Wedding, Bin Laden, Oprah etc.
I am excited to see progress being made in Las Vegas! That is eye opening, especially as economically depressed as that city and the world is. I find it incredible to finally see LV get an MJ presence----a big one at that with the in-residence Immortal World Tour and now the re-creation of Neverland there. Fantastic and about time! It was so depressing to vacation in LV and not see anything MJ!!!!
Vegas has always been fantastic but now it will be ultimate fun!

I've herd of her, but here in Dubai only one channel (as far as i know) is showing Oprah. I was trying SOOOOOOOO to find out if they will air her last show here and i couldn't figure it out. On her website it says that it was supposed to be aired here, but i still didn't find it.
So yeah i think the BAM should be worldwide, everyone (the more the better) should be able to see it, that's what i believe in. :D

I agree with the majority.....if MJ should ever choose to BAM he will do so on his own accord and it will be done in real time---meaning that it will hit the news at the same time for every time zone and he will rely on no other celebrity to do so. Most likely he will do so on a major news network like CNN. For all we know he could own his own media conglomerate and BAM on that?!?!?!?!?

Since I missed Oprah's final show and I am watching it now. I am listening to her talk. It's like Michael is speaking through her. You know how God use people to help others. I feel that MJ is doing the same with Oprah. I saw some of the show on her website and she mentions "The Yellow brick Road." IMO.

About what you guys say about BAMS day, that he will pick a time where everybody will be able to watch...I don't totally agree. I am from Europe, and when the media announced his death it was really late over here and most of the poeple have known he had died only in the news the next morning....

You know what they say, they forget about the deads.. I honestly think she is not in the hoax, and in reality when some one dies and it is not too dear to you, you forget about that person, this is all human nature. It is very sad at least she could have spoken in his memory, when she did the interview at neverland or something. hey selfishness what can I say.. blessings.

If you all are crazy about Michael and think of him all the time, it does not mean that the rest of the world do the same. You assured yourselves he would be her final guest and drew up a huge plan for him and now writing - What a huge disappointment:)
Why would Oprah even mention about him on her final show? It's HER show so it's supposed to be about her troughtout her career life. What does her life have to do with Michael? Just the fact he once was interviewed by her? Come-on ladies, have you already forgotten her program about paedophiles and how dangerous they are for the society that she aired right on a day of his verdict? Maybe his family has but we must remember that. Would Michael use her platform remembering that? Not to mention that making a great comeback on just the Oprah show, without a serious press conference first or something like that would be just plain stupid, surreal and killing.
When Michael wants to come back, I am sure he will avail himself of help from much more important people than just an anchorwoman. He will try to make it look dead serious. Not a show whatsoever. And only smart people, like you and me lol will know what's all about. ;)

She mentioned everthing else on her show that had nothing to do with her. :roll: What are you talking about? She spoke of the most remembered moments and if that interview wasn't one of them, then something is seriously wrong. It was a monumental moment, the most monumental in televised history and she got it by interviewing Michael. She doesn't have to like him to be true to what he accomplished for her by allowing her to interview him. It was an exclusive. No one had ever gotten him for such an indepth interview and especially in his home. Come on now. I don't know if I am in total agreement about MJ not wanting her platform because of the paedophile issue. That would be acting like he was guilty of it and he would want to stay as far away from her as possible. He was innocent of the accusations, so why would be purposely avoid her? If anything, I would think he'd want to set her straight, and what better way then on her show?
But, he must be planning something bigger than her. Like Jentletouch mentions, a news conference or something along those lines.

MeandMyShadow I just thought he would be disgusted by her and consider her as an enemy. Especially when she doesn't stop doubting and questioning the people that know him if they've ever seen any inappropriate behavior from his part. When she interviewed Lisa, for example. I think he has certain moral principles.
I also remember her saying that paedophiles would never be her guests. So if she hasn't changed her mind yet, and she acts like she has not, she dared to ask about it even his own mother ( which was just the limit of indecency, if you ask me ), so why Michael would be her FINAL guest? Let the woman clear her durty mind first. Also why would Michael want to clear it for her? Let her read the court papers, I hope she doesn't question the American legal system.

Actually I'm not disappointed or surprised about Oprah's final show. I NEVER expected Michael to BAM on her show and again I didn't expect her to say nice things about Michael. She is the one who said that "There was only Michael and the boy in the room. So who knows what really happened." about Michael's pedophile accusation. It would be a shock for me if she said nice things about him on the final show.
Anyways, Pearl made this video about it. She thinks that Oprah needs to apologize.
