Just noticed, in the version on Michael Album, the chorus is "I can't Fake it another day"....
while in the demo versions available on YouTube the chorus is "I can't Make it another day".

Side note, the demos are so much better then the version they included on Michael album.

Everytime I hear that song I clearly hear "fake" instead of make. I'm glad you hear it too because I thought it was my own wishful delusions making me hear "fake". :lol:

No kidding Andrea? This song is on my playlist and I have listened to it probably a thousand times since November and I *just* noticed this yesterday. LOL!
My mind always just inserted Make into the chorus because that's the word that MJ sings in the verse and ad libs at the end. Clever!

No kidding bec. :lol: The Michael CD played continuously in my car for months and my friend would get annoyed when that song came on because I would yell "fake" over "make" during that song. Not all the time though as that would be very annoying I'm sure. She thinks Michael is dead and that I'll be going around saying he's alive and coming back when I'm 90. She also thinks it's inevitable that when we're that old we'll live together with many cats and subsist on cucumber sandwiches.

well yesterday and today I played this song (album version) many times and I didn't hear fake it.
Now that you mention it - I'm not sure, could be.
Anyway, at 2:25 the album, version starts that guitar I really like :D

We have some songs left and we know MJ always sings something else than the lyrics suggest, although in this case it's Lenny who alters the lyrics. :lol: Notice how Lenny's voice is much more clear in the demos, how convenient that we can't hear that clear what he is singing. But I hear fake too, on the demos it's clearly make.

I can also hear it saying "fake" in the album version. I also tried to follow the lyrics and see if they match but now I noticed it's clearly saying "fake" not "make". And then in the demo, it kept saying "make"! It was different. I tried telling to myself "fake, fake, fake" and see if it was just my imigination and vice versa but nah. I think he is really singing "I can't fake it another day" - and "I can't fake another day without your love (L.O.V.E)"

Sorry but I hear "I can't MAKE it another day".
English is not my native language so maybe I'm wrong.
It's like "Dr. Murray ressusitation " in Smooth Criminal that we heard before, but it's clearly " Mouth to mouth ressusitation" but the fast "mouth to mouth" with the "re" of ressusitation made us think "Doctor Murray".
So for Another Day I think it's the same thing. But maybe some americans or english can help us listening it in slow version. :?

That's how the mind is suggestable to illusions. I listened to the demo so many times first, hearing "make", and then when the album came along, my mind naturally heard the same until now. And yes I totally hear "fake"! Crazy!! Thanks for pointing this out! Michael you're a genius!
