Oprah Winfrey -- The Day My Show Will End FOREVER
3/25/2011 11:35 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

The Oprah Winfrey show has exactly two months left to live ... this according to O's production company.

After 25 years, Oprah has announced her final show will air on May 25 ... before she turns her full attention to her new network, OWN.

So far, Oprah has not revealed who her final guest will be.

  Guess who?!

I was wondering if Michael would be on the final show too.  I go back and forth whether or not Oprah has had a true change of heart about the lies told about Michael.  I hope so.  I'm going to be watching though.  Can't help myself.....

So the show will air May 25th so is it going to be live?
It could be MJ, but why did he say 'see you in July'?

I would bet on the Elite Puppet being the last guest, I don't think Michael would let her interview him again.

Although if this scenario does take place, I'd like to see him give Oprah a bit of her own medicine.

I think Oprah's last interview will be with whoever is going to take over her time slot on TV.  There have been rumors that Dr. Oz's show will take her spot, but I haven't heard anything concrete yet.  I have wondered if the network may leave the time slot for another talk show, in which case, I could see Ellen moving to that spot.  I could also see Oprah doing a full circle by having her last interview be with whoever her first show was with.

Although I could definitely see her interviewing Obama for her own network in the future, Presidents don't typically do talk shows in the middle of a term, so I really don't think it will be him.

Well, this President has a birth certificate issue and it isn't going away, especially after Donald Trump (Someone that might run against him in the next election) called him out on it and demanded that he reveal it to the public.

Even the Govenor of Hawaii couldn't find the birth certificate of "Barack Hussain Obama" (his real name is Barry Soetoro) so the President is in desperate need of positive media attention at the moment, Oprah would be perfect.

I dont think she would do that on her last show (disrespecting him I mean). I think ALOT of people (including Oprah) have been shocked since Michaels "death", by actually seeing just how huge and worldwide his fanbase actually is. If it is Michael, after what he has pulled off, she should bend over and kiss his feet

I thought Oprah's last show was originally supposed to be in September. I thought I had read that somewhere. It makes more sense for it to be in May when a lot of shows have their season finales. I don't think it will be Michael as her last guest, but it would be very cool if it was!

I was thinking something today. Michael is 52 yrs old. so 5+2= 7 so he will have to come back on july seventh month. He will be back before he will turn 53 yrs old in august. I hope that will make you feel better.. He will not appear on the OW show.

I haven't heard of Obama being on The View, but I really wouldn't know.  I don't watch much TV at all, and I don't follow politics very closely either.

Regarding the birth certificate, I don't know about that either, but if Obama wanted to do an interview, I think he would choose the Nightly News people, or some other Primetime News affiliate, not Oprah Winfrey.  Although you never know, Obama was the first candidate that Oprah ever publicly supported, so there is a possibility that she'll get his interview.

Thank you for sharing! This is really interesting - looks like May is going to be a busy month.

I find the fact that this was created on June 25, 2009 very strange and still wonder if anyone could be cruel enough in the mind to, on the day of Michael's death, think "I'm going to create a countdown and fool MJ supporters in a couple of years" if it's not Michael?
Title: Re: Oprah Winfrey -- The Day My Show Will End FOREVER

ok, here are some of my thoughts on your speculations, ignore them if you like  ;)

Oprah never cared for Michael and have been pushing the drug and molestation issue everytime she's interviewed someone close to Michael. Has anyone forgotten that? I'm sure Michael appreciates that, that's why he did so many interviews with her before

And everything about this so called "bam". If Michael was/is in danger how could he just plan a bam and come out openly and talk about it on Oprah? Really? And if this so called hoax is a so called film people will be very upset, fans mainly I would guess. Exposing his kids, letting his mum talk about his plastic surgeries, grieving fans (still grieving after 2 years!), costs of fake memorial, fake trial, fake burial ceremony, etc, all for a Film! I think not. So how then, does a bams day fit in with any hoax theory? Any other thoughts?

"See you in July", could it not be as simple as Michael refering to his shows that were meant to take place in 2009? Why can't it just be that simple?

What are your thoughts behind your speculations?

That is interesting. The MJ countdown is 2 or 3 days ahead of Oprah's. It would make sense for there to be a "Bam" about MJ faking his death - as in some kind of news report or something. Followed by confirmation on Oprah's show. I have my doubts about that, but it would be a very good way to make everyone believe it's really him. Afterall, most american's would jump off a bridge if Oprah said they should

I just read an article that says Oprah has left the last two shows to her production team, and that she has agreed to allow them to surprise her during the shows.  If I'm reading this correctly, Oprah will have nothing to do with her last two shows, including selecting the guests.  If this is the case, her last show may just be a walk down Memory Lane.  I have copied the link below.

I agree totally with your idea of confirming it!

But, not only Americans would jump off a bridge but internationally they would as well! Did you see any of her shows she did a few months ago in Australia? :o  It appears her show is well liked and followed around the world. On Oprah.com it says:
"The Oprah Winfrey Show is broadcast in 145 countries across the globe."

You know what I think, and it's just my opinion, I think that Michael, who knows God, and believes in loves also knows what God says about forgiveness and believes in forgiveness. And that is why she was able to interview his children.  Having said that I wouldn't be surprised if he is her surprised guess for her last show. I mean 145 countries! What a "BAM!"

Stay blessed!

I know people are hoping MJ comes back for Oprah's final show. How about Jackie comes out and they go to Neverland and get married? If that was really her teenage dream or was it just to have Jackie talk about the song? I dunno. Then Michael is there in disguise with a fedora. lol.  :D

ok, here are some of my thoughts on your speculations, ignore them if you like  ;)

I agree with you.  I have never understood why anyone would even think that Oprah is in on the hoax.  She obviously doesn't like or respect Michael, so why would he even want her involved?  He wouldn't.  And, why would she want to interview someone she doesn't even like in her very last show?  She wouldn't.

I agree that the family may have used Oprah to show Michael in a different light, but to think that she is working with them is rather absurd, considering her blatant dislike for him.  I also still believe that Howard Mann is blackmailing the family over something he found in the storage facility, so I am not even convinced that the family really wanted Katherine and the kids to be interviewed by Oprah in the first place.  Remember, Oprah supposedly didn't even want to do the interview until the kids became a part of it.

I sincerely hope that no one is seriously getting their hopes up that Michael is going to "bam" on Oprah's last show, because it isn't going to happen.

Maybe he will BAM a few days before your show goes to air and then when her last show airs he will be interviewed at the same time by another person and she will get no viewers.

CHICAGO — Oprah Winfrey has given the world 25 years of poets and politicians, A-list actors and musicians and talk show topics that defined and reflected American culture.

As "The Oprah Winfrey Show" ends, with 16 episodes left as of May 4, her millions of fans around the globe are waiting to see how she will close out a show that engineered a media empire.

Winfrey's producers plan a star-studded, double taping on May 17 at Chicago's United Center. The shows will air May 23 and 24, as Winfrey's second and third-to-last episodes.

The show is dubbed "Surprise Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular." Winfrey hates surprises, producers say, but she has agreed to this event.

But for fans, questions remain.

Who will be at the United Center that Tuesday night? Who will be beamed in by satellite or deliver a taped farewell message?

Winfrey has a stable of celebrity friends who have appeared repeatedly on her talk show. John Travolta. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Jennifer Aniston. Chris Rock.

Could the Black Eyed Peas perform, as they did when Winfrey shut down Chicago's Michigan Avenue in 2009?

Then there are the presidents and world leaders: Bill Clinton; George W. Bush; Nelson Mandela. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have already appeared on a special show that aired Monday.

And Winfrey has other well-respected friends who could be possibilities: Maya Angelou; Sidney Poitier; Barbara Walters. Not to mention Winfrey's proteges, who she fostered to their own television stardom, such as Mehmet Oz, Phil McGraw and Nate Berkus.

Kelly Brittain, a 41-year-old mother of three and assistant professor from East Lansing, Mich., has watched Winfrey for decades. In 2000, she attended a taping on phenomenal graduates. Audience members received mortarboard caps; Brittain stores hers in a keepsake box.

"Somehow I know the producers, they're going to absolutely `wow' her," Brittain said.

It has the makings for a major cultural event, said Bill Carroll, expert on the daytime television market for Katz Television in New York.

"It's going to be the top-of-the-top of anybody who is available to go to Chicago on that day," Carroll said. "It's going to be talked about and talked about and watched and talked about."

Harpo Productions received more than 154,000 ticket requests for seats to the event – the United Center's capacity is about 20,000. There was a lottery for seats.

"For a national, international audience that's a small number," said Marianne Jennings, an Arizona State University professor who has researched the ticket industry for decades.

Tickets for the Chicago taping could be even more coveted than seats for the Super Bowl or World Series, she said.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime event," Jennings said. "There's something that grips us about that. It's something about being there with the crowd, being there for history."

And Winfrey's talk show history is anything but small: 30,000 guests, 4,500 episodes and 283 items named her "favorite things" in the famous annual giveaway.

But there's still a bigger question: What will Winfrey do for the May 25 finale? Harpo isn't talking, nor is the talk show queen.

Experts suggest the Chicago celebrity blowout means the finale will be in Winfrey's studio for a quieter, more intimate occasion, maybe even without an audience.

"If I were a longtime viewer, I'd want the show to end in a place where I'm most comfortable with her and most familiar," said Janice Peck, author of "The Age of Oprah: Cultural Icon for the Neoliberal Era."

Viewers are looking for a heartfelt connection after having daily interaction with Winfrey for 25 years, Peck said.

"The longtime fans are going to feel cheated if she doesn't somehow honor that history," Peck said. "They want to be crying. They want to feel something, some powerful emotional departure."

Samantha Howsare, 22, of Pittsburgh, who has watched Winfrey since she can remember and named her goldfish "Oprah" when she was 3, said she doesn't know who Winfrey could interview or what Winfrey could give away to make it worthy of the finale.

"I don't want it to feel like it's going to be on tomorrow," Howsare said. "I don't want it to be played down in any way and if she played up it being the last episode right, then it would get a lot of people to cry and that would be a good thing."

A model to look to would be Johnny Carson's final episode as host of "The Tonight Show" in 1992, Carroll said: There were no guests and after his traditional monologue Carson showed a montage of past shows.

"For the better part of the end of the show he sat there on a stool and just talked directly to people at home," Carroll said. "That had so much class to it."

Brittain is among fans who hope that Winfrey will stay on television, thinking there may be a promise of a yearly Oprah Winfrey special or other appearances.

"What would TV be without Oprah on the radar?" Brittain said. "That's hard to fathom. Who now serves as that source of overall inspiration, the infinite possibilities of the impossible?"

If she wants her show to go out with a bang...having the same guests isn't really a surprise or special...so it said in the article there will likely be no audiences.

Thank you for sharing this. Let's take MIchael out of the picture, even though we know he's the most famous entertainer in the world. Who else qualifies as a famous worldwide entertainer. Paul McCartney? Lady Gaga? Prince? Maybe the Osmonds? I guess I'm trying to second guess who it could be that would "wow" the whole audience that would be watching. Personally, as much as I love the above names people (Paul, Prince, etc...) - nothing short of Micheal Jackson would put me on the floor in shock, faint, or excitement.

I am really hopeful that maybe she'll contribute to Michael's vindication but I don't really believe it will happen.

Blessings :)

Yes, if we think from a non believer point of view who will be the biggest star?
Lady Gaga etc. have already been on Oprah...I am guessing Prince or Idk Donald Trump and Barack Obama or something   ...nothing comes close to MJ...but if it's not him it could be the royal family like William and Kate.

Truth is if she doesn't have Michael Jackson on, which I seriously doubt, then she won't have the biggest or the best.  Hype is all it amounts to.  I don't watch Oprah anymore.  Don't care for her much these days.  I'll get the re-cap from people who do.

Well, if at least she had said 'the biggest star alive'... she still would be wrong.

Seriously, it's not because I'm an MJ fan, but the man is the biggest entertainer of HIStory. I honestly don't think someone can take his place, and I'm pretty sure it's not a copy-cat like that who will do.

I know how you feel, and I agree. I don't watch her either and I won't be watching the last show. My reason is because I don't want to add to any rating numbers that makes her think she's the reason I have turned on the tv...which would be false assumption. Also, I don't want to add to any increase in rating that may put it over the number that tuned into watch the MJ interview with her. I want to keep his show as her highest ratings.

Now, if I knew for fact MJ would be on that show - for sure I'd tune it.

My biggest dread is that it will be someone like Bieber or Miley and not only would that be wrong (they are far from the biggest entertainer) but if they get the highest ratings that would also be wrong. I hope people think about it before tuning in to her last show.

I don't think MJ will be on the last Oprah show. Although, you never know :) Could come as a surprise to all of us. who knows.
But why would he do that? That woman doesn't even like him much. All the interviews she did recently with people that are affiliated with Michael were just for her ratings. I don't think she cared for him more after his "death" than she did before the "death".
And just think of how many people would have to be in on that. The whole Oprah production team etc. That's just too many people. This would be too dangerous as they would know well in advance. The chance of someone talking about it in public is just way too big.
I'm not saying it's not possible. It could be possible since this show will be something really big. But only in America as far as I know. We, here in Germany for example, wouldn't even have the chance to tune in since it's not aired here.
As for the big entertainer. I have no idea. One can only guess. I thought about the GLEE crew. Would be kinda cool. I don't know if Oprah had them on the show already. And I don't know if the hype about GLEE is still as big as it was a year ago.

I see the quote function is back.  Nice!  Anyway, I agree with you that it could very well just be Oprah, and a walk down memory lane, especially since her crew is supposed to be surprising her.  Or maybe the guest is just someone who Oprah has always wanted to interview.  I recall her saying one time that her show almost never seeks out guests, but rather the guests seek her out, so maybe it will be someone who Oprah has been hoping will contact her.

I don't think it is Obama: It said like Obama.. it could be or it can't be.

Oprah Winfrey Show' to end May 25 - who will be last guest? -- It has been known for some time now that The Oprah Winfrey Show would end at the close of its 25th season, but on Friday, Harpo Studios announced the date the last show will air. The final episode will be broadcast on May 25, 2011, according to the studio.

According to THR, Ms. Winfrey announced that she is relinquishing all control over the final two shows, allowing her producers and staff to plan surprises and put together the final programs without her input.

"I'm allowing for Sheri and the team to plan two days of full surprises,” Ms. Winfrey told THR. “I've given up control for the last two days. It's a lot to relinquish. I had to pray on that…. and get a guarantee from Sheri there would be no strippers or dancing people coming out of shells."

Ms. Winfrey posted to her Twitter account on Thursday that she remains hard at work on the remaining episodes of the show:

"Hard at work planning the final shows -can't wait to share w/ u all! ALL NEW shows start April 7."

With an ending date now announced, speculation will begin on who will be Oprah Winfrey's final guest on the final program. The talk show host, actor, and producer has had guests on her show ranging from low-profile individuals fighting back from addiction or child abuse, accidents or disease to former presidents and other heads of state to authors and legends from the entertainment world.

Will the final guest be someone like Barack Obama, whom Ms. Winfrey campaigned for in the 2008 presidential election? How about close friends like Gayle King or other friends or family?

No matter what the shows are like in late May, they are sure to grab a large viewership as Oprah Winfrey, whose weekday talk show has been a fixture on American television for 25 years, continues her work on other endeavors.

In show business, its not a matter of liking one another. Its a 'you scratch my back, i scratch yours' kind of thing. Oprah is the World's most successful interviewer/talk show host. Michael is the World's most successful/singer/entertainer/dancer. You get it, lol. This would be a great way for Oprah to go out with a LOUD BANG! And an excellent way for MJ to come back with a BIG BAM! lmho . Of course, never give anything a 100% rating until it actually happens. I would love to go to her show although I don't care for her very much. I'll atleast be watching.

On a completely unrelated note, I just read that the Queen of England has gotten an ipad 2.  I can see where an ipad would be easier to use for elderly fingers.  Bless her heart!

I wish she would have a closed set and take questions from viewers without her studio audience.  If she did, I have a few questions I would like to ask her:  If she were given the opportunity just one more time, to interview the greatest entertainer/humanitarian who ever walked this earth, Michael Jackson, how differently would she handle it ?  What would she say differently?  How would she receive him?  I would really like to know if she would publicly appologize to him and admit to the world that she was wrong and ask for his forgiveness. I would so hope that her answers would be redeeming.  It would certainly make me rethink my opinion about her sincerity and be a giant step towards me being able to respect her again.    pale/

Will And Jada Pinkett-Smith to Be Oprah's Final Guests
Posted on Fri May 13, 2011 11:35 AM
After months of speculation it has finally been revealed Will Smith and his wifey Jada will be the last guests to grace Oprah's stage.

Are they a good choice for the finale?

Many fans assumed the Talk Show Queen would choose the Obama's as her very last interview, so the Smiths definitely come as a bit of a shock. But it sounds like there are many huge surprises in store for the last Oprah show.

Executive Producer Sheri Salata revealed of the final episode:

"As most of our viewers know, being surprised is not one of Oprah's favorite things. In the spirit of the farewell season, she is making a rare exception and we intend to make the most of that opportunity. It will be something to see."
After 25 years, she's gotta go out with a bang!  confused/

Oprah Winfrey's Farewell: Beyonce, Usher, Maria Shriver Surprise Her in Chicago
12:56 AM 5/18/2011 by Lindsay Powers
Maria Shriver, Tom Hanks, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith among the celebrities who appeared during the four-hour taping Tuesday.
More than 20,000 people packed Chicago's United Center to watch the celebrity-packed live taping of Oprah Winfrey's second and third final shows.

Before the show even started, a man proposed to his girlfriend on-stage -- who accepted as the audience cheered on. Among those in the audience: Oprah BFF Gayle King, former Chicago mayor Richard Daly, the Food Network's Tyler Florence and NFL's Emmitt Smith.

PHOTOS: Highest-paid people in entertainment

Tom Hanks hosted the first hour.

"Now Oprah, I know you do not like surprises. Let me see if I can put you at ease. There was an English playwright who said there's no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved, and that is what tonight is all about... pulling off this little show at the United Center has been the best kept secrets," he said.

The first guest was Tom Cruise (who did not jump on any couches). Joked Winfrey: "You looked like you were 10 when you on my show in 1988. And what was up with my hair?" She says he's been on the show 12 times.

PHOTOS: The most powerful women in Hollywood

Next, America's Got Talent's Jackie Evancho sings from the Wizard of Oz, when she is joined by Josh Groban to sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." They were joined by Patti LaBelle, who brought down the house with the audience cheering and clapping as Oprah kept bringing her hands to her face. LaBelle kicked off her shoes into the audience midsong.

"We're just 10 minutes into the show!" Oprah enthused.

Next Madonna took the stage. "You look surprised," she said. "Yeah, kinda!" said Oprah.

"It's no secret that millions of people are inspired by Oprah. I am one of them." Madonna said she only has one living role model: Oprah. "She's a self-made woman who's been at the top of her game for over 25 years and she is still kicking ass. And she is still kicking ass!"

Between each celeb guest or performance, a video broadcast on three giant screens in the United Center, where the Chicago Bulls normally play. Videos ranged from Oprah's most memorable moments ("You get a car!") to embarrassing bloopers (awkwardly dancing with MC Hammer) to skits with celebs like Tina Fey and Steve Carell.

PHOTOS: The new stars to watch

Dakota Fanning came out next to introduce "Oprah Babies," aka viewers who had been watching their entire lives. They revealed how Oprah had changed their lives. One young girl said she was able to survive abuse because of Oprah; Oprah spent a few minutes speaking to her off the microphone right after their segment ended.

Next, Beyonce showed up in a tuxedo leotard and sang "Run the World (Girls)" with a stage full of backup dancers. Mouthed Oprah from the audience, where she was sitting with Cruise, "Oh my God!" Beyonce's performance was taped twice, and the audience stood up and cheered each time.

Next, Hanks announced that the audience had brought some of their "favorite things" -- books that they planned to donate to a school library in New Orleans. John Legend appeared live via satellite to accept them.

Diane Sawyer then walked out as a giant lit-up tree rose to the ceiling of the United Center. Sawyer announced that 25,000 oak trees would be planted in Oprah's honor. Joked Oprah: "I just gave everybody a tree! you get a tree and you get a tree and you get a tree. Everybody gets a tree!"

Then, Halle Berry, Katie Homes and Queen Latifah walked out. "We love you, Oprah," said Berry, who then recalled how Oprah viewers have changed the world by becoming foster parents and starting charitable foundations. Holmes and Latifah also called out audience members by name, many of whom got a hug from Winfrey.

Rascal Flatts closed the show by singing "I Won't Let You Go," as Oprah listened and swayed from the audience.

The first hour wrapped up with all the stars returning to stage and Oprah hugging them one by one.

"I feel the love!" said Oprah, who had mascara running down her cheeks. "And I thank you for it. Thank you for being a part of this great night, this celebration for what you have done for the Oprah Winfrey Show. ... your being here tonight.... honors me in the deepest way possible."

Before the second show started, a producer joked that John Travolta was locked in the bathroom. (Travolta famously appeared on the 25th season premiere to give away the trip to Australia.)

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith hosted the second hour. The first guest was Michael Jordan, who revealed that he came to Chicago the same year as Oprah: 1984. "MJ in the house!" said Oprah.

Jamie Foxx then began singing -- and was soon joined by Stevie Wonder, who rose from the floor playing his piano. He changed several lyrics to include Oprah; the audience jumped to their feet.

"I'm a little nervous right now," admitted Wonder before revealing that he had written a song especially for Oprah. Oprah waved the cameras away from getting too close so she could lean on his piano and enjoy the song. She gave him a big hug, whispered in his ear and said, "Hey baby," once it was done.

Next, Jerry Seinfeld came to the stage and delivered a comedy routine: "We are trying to figure out. How much can one person take? We are going to keep going until you say we can't take it anymore!"

Simon Cowell was up next and began to talk about The Oprah Winfrey Show's impact on music before stumbling over his words, saying "blah blah blah" and starting again. Oprah blew him a kiss from the audience. "I can also say firsthand that you are a very good kisser," joked Cowell.

Rosie O'Donnell came out next, flanked by dancers. She sang "Fever" but changed the lyrics about how much she'll miss Oprah. "You saved me from depression when you gave us Dr. Phil!" was one verse, before Dr. Phil showed up on stage. Also joining him: Oprah proteges Nate Berkus and Dr. Oz. (O'Donnell's OWN show will tape at Chicago's Harpo Productions.)

Maria Shriver then made her long-rumored appearance on stage -- the day after her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, announce that he'd fathered a child out of wedlock with a  former household employee. Oprah kept her arm tightly wrapped around Shriver's shoulders. Also joining them on stage: King.

"Well Oprah, for more than 30 years, you bestowed the most amazing friendship on me, given me love, support, wisdom and most of all truth," said Shriver, who worked with Winfrey and King at the same TV station in Baltimore in the beginning of their television careers. Tyler Perry also appeared and urged the audience, "I know it's getting late but wake up in here, wake up, show the love!"

Kristin Chenoweth sang next as the lights were dimmed and people filled the stage holding single lights. "You're trying to break me down. That did it. You're looking for a breakdown. That was it right there," said Oprah. "All right, carry me on out of here! Oh my God, there's still more! This is newsworthy."

Next up was Oprah's mentor Maya Angelou, who performed a poem she had written especially for Oprah as Alicia Keys played the piano. Oprah appeared emotional as she sat directly across from Maya. Keys then sang "Super Woman."

Oprah left the stage next, and was overheard complaining about how much her shoes hurt as the audience laughed.

Her longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham then took the stage, and Oprah grabbed King's arm in surprise. "Honey, you are so special, and I am so happy... I'm so proud of you," he said as the audience made a collective "aww" at the rare public appearance by Graham.

"I cannot believe a colored girl from the back woods of Mississippi has done all you have done with your show, your magazine, your film company, radio, and your also hands on with your school in South Africa," he said to applause, "while launching a network!"

Graham -- who also announced he loved her and called her "sweetheart" -- then introduced Aretha Franklin, who appeared in good health as she performed a bluesy version of "Amazing Grace." Oprah raised her arms up from the audience, as Graham made a rare public display of affection by putting his arm around Oprah's waist.

Oprah finally broke into her infamous "ugly cry" after the music sped up and Franklin began dancing around. "Enough! Aretha Franklin and Michael Jordan in the same night? What is that? I can't take it anymore," she said on stage after, half laughing and half crying as she danced with Franklin.

Hanks appeared again after. "There's been a lot of highlights tonight," he said. "Morehouse college, Maya Angelou, Stedman!"

"Holy Jesus from God, what is happening? Stedman is on stage!" joked Oprah. Read THR's live blog here.

Then a producer came out and asked Oprah to speak louder, and Will Smith quipped, "Don't tell Oprah what to do! That's Oprah! You're fired."

Oprah then took a minute to thank her fans: "I've never experienced anything like this and I say once again thank you for taking me to a place that's beyond joyous. I'm going to have to process it and look at it on tape to see what actually happened here. It feels like the rapture, so thank you all for that!"

Smith announced there's one last surprise, as a full symphony began to back Usher, who sang "O.M.G." mashed with "Oh Happy Day" as Hanks awkwardly danced.

Confetti shot up from the audience, and the stars rejoined Oprah on stage as she thanked everyone.

Four hours later, the show was over. And within 30 minutes, the chairs had been broken down and the confetti was being swept up.

The shows will air in a two-part series on May 23 and May 24. Her final show airs May 25

Okay, her show ends May 25th, the countdown on www.michaeljacksonfakeddeath.com (http://www.michaeljacksonfakeddeath.com) ends on May 23rd. I don't believe that Will Smith or his kids or whatever will be her final guest, she wants to go out with a bang, and Will Smith/Kids doesn't make me go "Oh my God!!!" It just doesnt' seem like a "shocking" or surprising way to end the show. However, Michael would. Even if Michael "was alive" he would still be a huge guest to end her show with. The fact that he's supposed to be dead just makes it even more shocking. Wouldn't this give him a chance to explain to the world why he faked his death, etc?

Hi everybody, it's been awhile since I posted here, but I read when I can.

So, Oprah's final mystery show.... I can't wait for this to be over and done with. I sooo want Michael to be the final guest! NOBODY can top him and it would certainly be her "bang" and his BAM. Her show has been used lately to give us clues from his children and LMP. She has used his phrases "This is it" and "This is the moment". She wants her show to end with a bang! She yelled out "MJ's in the house". I know she was referring to Jordan, but for me and the rest of the world, MJ usually stands for Jackson. I had several twitter conversations about this last night after I read the article where she said that. Something is going on with her, that's for sure. Some think she is using these phrases and such to draw in Michael fans. Unless she is "in" on the hoax in some way, I don't see why she would. She has millions of worldwide fans. (I still don't see the big deal about her, but to each their own) Anyway, her largest viewing audience was when she interviewed Michael the last time. I guess the biggest ever will be her final show. Her final guest is supposed to be a surprise, and what better surprise than Michael walking out? Maybe she would be dumbfounded and speechless....and Michael could do most of the talking!

I know we have been lead to believe that Michael might come back in July or after the Murray trial, BUT that wouldn't be as big of a surprise (BAM) as him appearing on her show. Her show is the end of May which is the beginning of summer, and we have had clues that he would be back this summer. I know this is wishful thinking, but who knows?

I also find her statements "Holy Jesus from God, what is happening?" and "It feels like the rapture" to be a bit much for the context they were used in. Now if it was said after Michael Jackson walked out....well that would be another story

Blessed to have been,

Michael is gonna be hated and crucified if he suddenly pops up on her show. I think we don't have to get the meaning of the BAM literally. I think there gonna be a serious pressconference first, with the equal serious people involved in it.
BAM on the Oprah show would be absurd.

As much as I would love to believe he'd return on the Oprah show, I have to agree.

First, I don't see Oprah's show as having the worldwide attention that Michael deserves. Secondly, I also think there needs to be some kind of press conference - or a video that is played like he did when he faced those allegations. But, not surprising Oprah on her last show. It doesn't fit.

I have to say that the list of celebs were interesting and to some they might be in awe. I didn't see one name on that list that would have made me fight the crowd to go see them in person and there isn't one of them that will make me tune in just to see them - as much as I might like some of them as artists.

I have to say that I'm from a generation who watched a lot of Bulls games and Michael Jordan is known as MJ in the basketball world too - not just Chicago. And, out of all of those guests he's the only one who I thought "wow", this person came out to give Oprah love? But, still not the end of show, biggest entertainer "WOW".  Not even Obama will do that. Only Michael Jackson can fill those shoes.

Yet, her choice of words and phrases are suspect and I wonder her motives. I really hope that people don't tune in thinking they will see Michael only to giver her the highest ratings under false pretense. I hope that Michael still holds that title in the end.

Blessings.

It would certainly make me rethink my opinion about her sincerity and be a giant step towards me being able to respect her again.    pale/

Oh well, at least she’s opting for a closed set which would be fantastic and could end in any number of interesting ways. lolol/

With the respect that Oprah has garned over the years in all areas of concern, I doubt there woud be any consequences to either Michael or Oprah if she had arranged for this to happen.  Not willing to bank on it happening, however.  But if it did, this could be the absolute BEST platform for it to take place with NO consequences attached.  Oprah will surely have taken care to tie up any loose ends, getting every clearance needed, party/  before it happens on her watch.  Remember, this is her last and what she intends it to be her MOST impressive, MOST spectacular show EVER in the history of television.

Wishful thinking yes.  But damn its stacking the cards to the max with the HIGH JOKER right on top of the deck lolol/

Please, Oprah? Oprah should beg Michael , not the other way around. Who is Oprah compared to Michael Jackson? Frankly, i don't even think she deserves to host of his BAM. To go down in history with him, on his back. Why? After everything she did? Do you remember who's Oprah?

From that perspective I also agree with you. Oprah is big, but Michael is bigger. Even if Oprah is very powerful I am not sure if Michael would consider such a deal, using her program to "come back from the death".

Thank you, Heart. I so agree with this. For those of you who plan to watch please keep us updated because I don't plan on adding to her inflated rating count based on Michael's supporters thinking he's going to show himself on her show. Oprah is not shown in every country and she's not a big name all over the world like Michael is. Michael does not need her to announce his comeback. Michael's comeback will be universal. Why can't he just tape something and put it out there like he did with the allegations? He can still prove his legitimacy - there are plenty of ways to do that. And, if fans and supporters cannot identify that he's the real Michael, we have a problem. Yes, I know about the doubles...ect., Just saying - we will know it's him.

Please, I understand everyone's excitement but don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

On another note - I think AI gets more viewers than Oprah. If I were to come back on a show it would be at the beginning or ending of American Idol. Remember - we think sardines and he thinks whales. However, where does July 2011 fit in with this?

Blessings.

I don't think its gonna be Barack Obama. In fact, Im pretty sure it won't be because he was on the show a couple of weeks ago to discuss the birth certificate thing. As for the Will Smith thing, he's going to be on tomorrow (Part Two of the Farewell Show).

I personally think Michael could go on her last show as a "BAM". I think that would be great, considering her show airs in 100+ countries. People say "Oh, thats terrible she doesn't like MJ" etc. etc. But the show already has our attention, why not? A lot of people here are probably going to watch it just from interest anyway. The point is to get his message through to people. It's not about Oprah. Her show is just the "platform" so to speak.

As I see it, the only thing that matters is that IF he Bams on the show his message is out there. I don't care by what means it is done, as long as it's done. JMHO of course  ;)

Barack Obama & his wife's episode aired today. It would make no sense to be on today and then be on as the surprise guest 2 days later.

and not only does the show air in 100+ countries, but it's her last episode. Thousands, if not millions of more people will probably tune in, either to watch it because its the last episode, or maybe just to see who the last guest is.

Not only would it be a great way for Michael to show the world he's alive, but it would also be a great way to explain why he did it ;)

The show was pre-recorded so they already had the show. IF Michael was one of the guests, I'm sure that it would have been leaked out. Because that would be the MOST shocking thing in the world and Oprah had many guests. At least one of them would have leaked something if one of the guests was Michael. So, what I'm saying is pls do not put your hopes high about Oprah because I do not think and I do not feel like Michael was there.

So? Okay. I honestly cannot think of anyone else that could be her final guest. She said she wants to go out with a bang. The only person bigger than Michael Jackson is Jesus Christ.
It's funny that you mention that, MJFAN7.  I was listening to a morning show on the radio last Friday, and the host made the same basic comment, saying, "She'd have to book Jesus" because all the other major stars are already scheduled for the Monday and Tuesday shows.

But the crew would have signed a confidentiality agreement with a HIGH penalty if broken. I'm definitively not with my hopes high, but who knows?

If they really will be having the biggest entertainer to talk with Oprah, they are going to have Michael or they really are crazy to say that and then show us any other person.

Don't hold Oprah to anything and then get upset because it wasn't what you might've expected. The way they're saying that her final guest is the "biggest entertainer", these are choice words to get anybody intrigued about who it might be, and make you wanna tune in. I don't watch Oprah, and her show is one of the last places I'd look for a 'comeback' of any kind. It's all hype, and it's a part of show business.

'sides, I'm partial to the belief that IF MJ did come back, it would not be on the show of another person. It'd probably be his own doing. Unexpected. Unscripted. Truth. But that's just my guess.
I expect nothing from this show.  ;)

It's a possibility he will be on Oprah but what about anything unfinished, does he still have to tie a few loose ends.
Also I was thinking if he is on Oprah, there is a possibility Oprah didn't/doesn't know, but the producers making the last episode do and so that could explain how it seemed she knew when interviewing the family on her show before.

Tomorrow marks the 23rd month since Michael left the building and it's Oprah's last show.  I wonder if there is any significance in the last show being on the 25th.  I also wonder if there is a viable reason she is ending it in the middle of the week rather than on Friday?  Can anyone enlighten me who knows about these things. I'm in the dark. lolol/

I don't feel that either. But there is a lot of mystery, lots of people want to know who the final guest is, but still no one leaked this information. Or they did, but the media didn't published it yet.

Well We only get Oprah's show here on an obscure satellite channel so there would be loads of people who wouldn't see it, and,as MJ has gazillions of fans in the UK, he would be alienating a huge part of his fanbase if he chose to bam on her show.

Not only would it be a great way for Michael to show the world he's alive, but it would also be a great way to explain why he did it ;)
That would be only if it was LIVE.

So? Okay. I honestly cannot think of anyone else that could be her final guest. She said she wants to go out with a bang. The only person bigger than Michael Jackson is Jesus Christ. Which, I was considering until the 'rapture' failed to happen on saturday ,
SO if it wasn't LIVE and Mike BAM'd, the people who were there wouldn't be able to keep it a secret and we'd be hearing it by now. geek/

Hello family, hope everyone is doing well. My husband just called me during his lunch hour and we were talking about who this Mystery guest could be, and as much as I would love it to be Michael, my husband mentioned someone that I think is a very good candidate...Could it be Nelson Mandela?? I know he isn't an "entertainer" per say, but I think Nelson Mandela is as good a guess as anyone else. What do you guys think?

Sending you all Blessings and Love! bearhug

Thanks, I'm fine  :) I think Nelson Mandela is very good possible. He is one of the most courageous and best loved men of all time. Yes he isn't exactly an entertainer, though there are a lot of songs, books, films etc about him. AND Michael and Nelson Mandela are friends.

ONLY MICHAEL  DESERVES FOR SUCH A DEIFICATION AS A NUMBER ONE DONATOR  AND BIG HEARTED HUMAN AMONG ALL CELEBRITIES IN THE WORLD! who's oprah?  suh! Made big deal of her shows than they really were. She was just making money for her own TV cable business she always dreamed of and started. 25 years is nothing in compare to 40 years of  MICHAEL's FAME!

beerchug Oh well, I guess I’m back at suare one.  If she is doing a show about herself, then perhaps we will finally hear her say after all these years that she was wrong about Michael and she recants her psotion, offering a sincere appology to Michael and his family for the harm she helped inflame and perpetuate on his integrity.  That would suit me just fine.  If she ends her show and goes off aire without doing this, I will never be able ro rekindle my respect for her.  If she does, then she has my blessing.
