Nice, i'm really liking this song. I listened to it a few times in a row. Can't get enough of all the new MJ stuff lately. This song seems like an updated version of "Gangsta by Tempermental f/ Michael Jackson" from 3 years ago. The verse that Michael sings on the tempermental version is the same on this new version, but the rap verses were taken out on this new version to make it a full MJ song. There's also another whole MJ verse not on the tempermental version. I wouldn't have minded this song being on the new album at all. I'm surprised that there isn't more replies to this thread.
There's no denying MJ's voice on this one :D unlike the new "All I need" leak which you can notice it isn't him right away.

"Blue Gangster" was written by Elliot Straite (Dr. Freeze, the same guy that co- wrote Break of Dawn and A Place With No Name) around 1999 - 2001 for the Invincible album. The song was fully completed, but never made the final cut. In 2006, Tempamental and Pras got hold of it, added their own rap verses and called it "Gangsta". It was available on Tempamental's MySpace page for a while and was later replaced with "No Friend Of Mine", an identical track, but the lyrics were tweaked and Michael's verse was different.
Michael had nothing to do with the production of Gangsta or No Friend Of Mine, as confirmed by Michael's PR in 2006 - it was just a matter of two relatively unknown artists having access to one of Michael's songs from the Invincible sessions.

I've heard this song before.........
We were listening to it a long time ago. I think its from 7even... And there was some speculation that it wasn't him. I think it all sounds like him except for the chorus.
Also.........I could SWEAR it used to say "NEW Gangsta" and not "Blue". Like I would bet a million dollars on that (if I had it :lol: )
Does anyone remember this? Souza? I sweaaaar it was "New". Or am I having dejavu?
What the heck does blue gangsta mean? Kind of reminds me of the blue circle on his face in those new pics...

Found the original song...it's different. But the chorus is the same and they do say "blue gangsta" but the typed words on the screen say "new" so I probably just assumed thats what it was since it's only the chorus so it's not that clear...
Ok, that's settled. But still...the meaning of blue gangster? Any ideas?

I think what they're saying there is that it was written by Elliot Straite but performed and recorded by michael jackson at the time of Invincible and was fully finished, but it never made the final cut. It also says that Michael had nothing to do with production of the song "Gangsta" by Tempermental featuring MJ (youtube video a few posts up) and that Tempermental just happened to get their hands on the song and made their own with added raps and tweaked Michael's verse

And instead of the rappers that are originally on it, 50 Cent is on it. They may have also slightly rearranged the song to make it sound new. Just a guess.

And instead of the rappers that are originally on it, 50 Cent is on it. They may have also slightly rearranged the song to make it sound new. Just a guess.
I've heard a snippet for Monster. They are two completely different songs :)

This song is just amazing!!!!!! I cant stop listening to it. I agree its a very sexy song. They should have put this on the album. Its the best leak so far. Its soooooooooo good.

Yup you're right. And I'm sadden that I wasn't right. I love this song. :lol: Maybe Monster will sound better on the official release. Right now, it sounds pretty dated and not MJ (yet again).
