Title: MJ The Experience
Post by: mikestanek1 on November 23, 2010, 12:35:29 AM
Hey I just wanted to post about the game real quick.  Mine came in the mail a day before it came out, so I have been playing it all night basically.  It's really fun, and if you have never danced before like me then you are in for a workout.  It's really cool.  I was glad to see Sunset Driver on it.  I really like that song.  But 2 that I wanted on it are not there.  Blood on the Dance Floor and Jam are absent.  Oh well, maybe they will make a second one later or have more songs on xbox.
Anyway, I was hoping to find clues in this game possibly but I didn't find anything.  It's really basic, no story mode or anything.  Just go in and dance.  However, if you watch the credits section to the end it has him dancing in smooth criminal, except it doesnt show his face or anything.  It's really weird.  I don't know what to get out of it.  And no RIP anywhere or anything like that, so that is always good.

Thank you for sharing this information! I am sure most of us would get a workout...LOL. And to think that Michael dances and sings like that for hours.

That is good news about no RIP. Seems kind of a strange that it's basic. It seems to me that if Michael were involved with it that it would be more over the top. I've been thinking about getting one too so I will probably do that and check it out. Blessings!

Yep get a copy and check it out for sure.  It's really fun, but extremely hard if you're a beginner.  Even the easy songs are hard, although I somehow aced Thriller which is rated as Inhuman on the difficulty level! Ha.  I was surprised with the dance school too, it has Travis Payne and two other dance instructors.  I figured since they said this game has been in the making for years that at least somewhere MJ's voice would be added.  Nope, just his music.

I've been planning to buy a Wii just so I can have this game!  :D What songs are on there besides Thriller and Black or White and Billie Jean?

How come they haven't released the info on the PS3, they say Kinect  for X-Box will be like your in MJ concerts and it will have player projection but they haven't said anything about the PS3, no one knows anything about it. Also don't you think Sony who is affiliated with MJ will make the game better than the Kinect on the Wii. Also PS3 version is getting released last out of all of them on March 1st.

I think that would be totally strange to put RIP on a game. Yes, it is MJ based but that is just not how I think a game should be presented.

I went into the store Game Stop on the day it was released and it was playing on the TV.  Hardly anyone was in the store, so I grabbed the WII wand and started dancing with Michael.  I don't own a wii or xbox or anything, so I wasn't really sure what the wand was supposed to do.  The clerk explained it and I tried to follow the little figure in the corner to see what I was supposed to be doing with my arms, but that took away from focusing on Michael and the music, so I just followed Michael and the moves that I know from watching him for 40 years or more, and I did much better.  I did so good that at one point the word "goldmine" came across the bottom and then when I finished dancing to Smooth Criminal it said that I unlocked the training mode.....whatever that means.

The clerk said that with the xbox kinetic version that will be out on Feb 13, you don't use a wand, that the box picks up your body movements.  That sounds pretty cool, so I may wait for that and purchase the xbox just to play The Experience.  In the meantime, the clerk said I could come back and dance with Michael anytime I want.  But, I'm afraid if I go back, I'll just stay in the store day after day and dance and not go to work or anything.

I've been having so much fun playing this!! I'm definitely not the best dancer in the world but my sister and I have lots of fun playing! I got 4/5 stars on the Billie Jean song and keep trying to top it, and let me tell you, this game is quite the workout

I got a 4 out of 5 on Billie Jean too!  It was on my third try I think.  It's so much fun once you get used to the moves.  It's hard right away when you start a song and don't know what moves are coming.  Sunset Driver is really fun and fast.  I got a 4 on that as well.  There are still a few I haven't tried yet.  And Ghosts is pretty tough too.

I told my son that I was going to buy him the Kenetic for his xbox360, but really it is for me.  I am going to go buy the game so I can play it.  Now, it won't be, "Colin get off the system!"  It is going to be, "Mom, I want to play Call of Duty, will you please quit dancing with Michael Jackson and let me play my games!"  I can't wait!

It is definitely one hell of a workout. I hurt. Everywhere.   I literally almost passed out after all those spins at the end of Speed Demon...don't play this when you're exhausted and dehydrated.  :P

Ghosts is especially hard...I feel like Leave Me Alone was kinda challenging too. Thriller has an "inhuman" level but I honestly didn't find it that hard.
Really bummed Jam isn't on it but it's an awesome game!

P.S. LISTEN TO THE NICE PEOPLE WHEN THEY TELL YOU TO WARM-UP FIRST.

I bought the PSP version of the game on Sunday - unfortunately I don't have a Wii or the other consoles that it has been made available on. Anyways, it's better this way, as I certainly can't dance! LOL! Two left feet, I'm afraid!!! This version is still awesome, though. I've already unlocked all 17 songs, plus completed all on easy and medium. Will have to attempt the hard setting tonight!!  :D

I went to my nephews house just so that I can play the MJ game on his wii lol and it was absolutley awsome  :D  Although some of the animations i dint like but the game, the dancing was really fun. I noticed on the Wii cover where it has MJ's toes with the white socks and black shoes underneath it, it says Triumph International i think, it was something Triumph. Whereas usually on any of MJ's products underneath those shoes it would say MJJ Production, I was just thinking why was has the name change?

I played it on he psp and it is fun as but i kinda think MJ's head looks like a Bratz doll (big head, small body) supposedly different people made he psp version to the ones that made the wii.

You know i also noticed it saying Triumph International under his feets on a keyring that i bought from the MJ offical exhibition which was held in the London 02. So i thought maybe after he "passed away" now all the time it would say Triumph International on MJ's products but actually on the This Is it album it says MJJ Productions  :?  What does Triumph have anything to do with MJ's Estate?

He could be helping Michael in some way. I remember reading sometime last year about Trump meeting with MJ at a hotel (I think the Beverly Hill Hotel) to help him with something...I can't remember if it was paper work, or MJ needed his advice on something or someone. But as far as I nkow Trump as been there for MJ thoughout the years...he even let MJ and LMP stay at one of his homes here in Florida to keep away from the pap's.

The game is so much fun though! It's a little confusing, and i haven't been able to get 5 stars. :( I've gotten 4 though! :D I loved speed demon, the dance was fun! Same with Ghosts. :D

After a few months, ill be strong as ever!

You guys are funny....Santa brought it for my 7 yo son (with the help of mummy) and he loves it so far...it has been so funny watching this poor kid trying to move like Michael.

Of course I played as well, and I do find it very difficult to get use to at first.

I purchased in Australia and the first thing I noticed on the backcover, was the logo

AiLIVE and I know what it is, but hoax wise, its just another coincidence..

And as far as I remember reading, MJ owns Triumph International Inc.
