MJ 'Hold My Hand' Video - Starring No-Handed Person

It's the most bizarre casting call we've ever seen -- the people behind Michael Jackson's new music video for "Hold My Hand" are in the market for some incredibly ironic talent ... a person with no hands.
The listing was posted yesterday on an LA casting network -- billed as a "low budget" project -- and among the available roles ... 10 dancers, several real-life couples, a mother and child for a baptism ... and "a disabled person with no hands."
The director Mark Pellington tells TMZ, "The video is a spiritual collage of MJ's legacy told through a visual mosaic exploring the themes of life" -- but based on the name of the song, we can only guess why they'd need someone without the requisite appendages.
We're told they shot Akon's part Monday night -- and according to sources close to the production, a green screen came in mighty handy.

Prediction:
Some group will be "offended" by Michael Jackson's use of a no handed person in his video for the song called "Hold My Hand" claiming the no handed person would be exploited by being depicted as a dehumanized visual example of irony for entertainment purposes.

No not necessarily. I did modeling when I was a kid and you have to have a work permit to work. It's common in the entertainment industry. The child labor laws mean that kids can't work for more than a couple hours at a time. Whenever I did jobs, I spent more time waiting around than actually shooting. I can't remember exactly, but I think the laws include a tutor being on set too.
Also, if you want to get a job before you're 16 (usually the minimum age most places will hire), you can get a work permit to work in restaurants and retail.
The laws are in place to limit the hours of work, kind of work, to provide educational opportunity (I think) and for the government to take a percentage out of your paycheck for a trust that you get when you're 18 (parents like mac's were taking money from their kids' work)

Right - that is why oftentimes you'll see doubles or twins play the part for a child. I found it interesting that they would prefer Michael Jackson fans and ethnicity doesn't matter. They also want real people. It looks like Michael is really reaching out and including his real fans for this. Awesome. I wonder if he'll be in the film at all...

Just another example of how misleading the media can be. When I first saw the title of this article, I envisioned the video centering around someone who doesn't have hands. Instead, it just looks like there will be someone without hands in the video, along with all of the other people listed. Unfortunately, the "catchier" the title, the more people will read the article and comment on it.

I like that he's having "real people" in the music video. I also noticed that he's hiring a lot of toddlers and children who are inspired by him. I don't remember ever seeing that in a casting call. He must be behind it! That seems like something only Michael would think of...this casting call seems to be very in-depth. They are very particular with who they want to be in the music video.

This no-hand business made me think of these Bible verses. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon dreamed a dream about end times (today) and Daniel the Israelite prophet in captivity interpreted the dream for him. Daniel 2:28-47. This great image or statue of a man composed of different parts of gold, silver, brass, iron and clay, representing ruling kingdoms or civilizations in our history from 586 BC up to present. He says God will raise up supernaturally (made without hands) a stone which is Christ and His return to destroy all the evil power structures on earth. At that time He will rule the earth with a rod of iron with justice and peace.
27Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
28But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days(now). Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
29As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.

(This is an interesting sentence because it implies something alien or non-human living amongst mankind in the latter days but not able to genetically mix--controversial, makes you think about all the alien movies we see today)
44And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

I think this is a brilliant connection! We'll have to wait and see but it would explain the obvious connection to a "dream" that has been evident throughout the hoax; at least very evident to me. Very, very good thinking! :D

I made an extensive post about this back in January after the season finale of Jack5on Family Dynasty. I'm helen on the LKL blog and I had posted this information on Larry King Live after the finale and a user here copied it onto this forum. It's always been my take on this hoax. In addition, Jodi Gomes tweeted immediately after the finale about dreaming and she has often referred to the Jacksons as the keeper of the dream. I think there is going to be a movie or something called The Jacksons: An American Dream - Part 2. And it also ties into TDRCAU and "I have a dream." Anyway, here is the thread...

p.s. @mjonmind I just want to add that I'm friends with jodi gomes on Facebook and she is currently filming more episodes with the Jacksons. It hasn't been announced publically yet, but they are. At the ending of the finale, we weren't told what the dream was, when the show resumes in season two, it will be episode #7.

I remember reading that thread long ago, very interesting reading it again. That's sounds like the main dream of this hoax, that Michael's dead, but not in reality. Like the movie Inception, we're all in this dream together. Then BAM!! we'll all wake up :o :D . I wouldn't think that would be related to the Nebuchadnezzar dream above, but who knows...
