MJ Song Debate -- Heehee Said, She Said (http://www.tmz.com/2010/11/09/michael-jackson-new-song-breaking-news-real-or-fake-tmz-on-tv/)

The debate over Michael Jackson's new song "Breaking News" got really heated -- and really weird -- in the TMZ newsroom when someone threw on a glove ... minus the glitter.

"For those who are interested, I spoke with my source on the phone for over 30 minutes tonight regarding this whole mess. This is coming straight from Sony: the vocals are over 50% not MJ's, they did hire an impersonator to run over the majority of MJ's pre-existing vocals and tried to hide it with production.

The remaining Cascio tracks including "Monster" are all in the same boat with some MJ vocals and some imposter vocals. There will be a big meeting tomorrow at Sony where they will discuss the future of this album. More to come..."

"a glove ... minus the glitter."

This is a good metaphor to describe the song if you ask me.

The song is 'ok' and has the necessary 'heehee!s' and 'owww!s" inserted. But there is none of the sparkle and emotion that I have heard in every other Michael Jackson song.

Good point, it makes sense.

For me it's Michael singing ... (+ the other singer who is taking way too much space in that song BTW). But for me it's Michael's voice I am convinced, it is just different than what we have been given before, but the tone is his.

I don't know why we should take as truth that comment, but if we put it this way then it's 100% obvious that SONY puts out a fraud for their own benefit, taking advantage of him and the family and everything. They are doing a fraud and it would be a court case if it's true. This would show Michael has no hand in it.

I don't believe anyone who claims things on the internet. I just say my opinion if we put it this way. That would mean that the family is right in bashing the song and their anger would be true.

I agree that this makes sense.  It also reminded me of the MJ/Dr House pic discussed in another thread!! ;)

More Confucion, .. Another thing, of all people who have died since June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson is the only thing that TMZ used to make these videos funny, and the family does not complain about anything, ! strange?. This comment is for those who saw the interview of Katherine yesterday and once again began to lose faith.

I'd like to know what happened to all of the finished tracks? I thought there were enough for several albums. Didn't Michael finish one song? If not, how is Sony going to put out 10 albums? And, if they don't does that make their contract with the estate null and void?

I, too, still like the song and I think of it as a duet because there are more than one voices, obviously.  I like hearing Michael's voice and I listen to the message which I believe is the whole reason for the song being put out there to begin with.

Trublu - I love your take on the meaning of glove without the glitter.

Blessings.

Maybe the purpose of releasing this song was to get people to question if it's Michael or not - just like the movie This Is It.  Possible doubles but nobody knows for sure.  Not only to question whether or not it's Michael, but to start questioning everything in the media.  I think this song was chosen deliberately but for what exactly I haven't figured out.

If this is true, I'd like to see that "source" speak about it officially. :

I have in mind the 911 call and the discussions that it triggered... someone posted a video where Michael was answering a phone call made by a radio for "fun"... and suddenly it was someone else on the phone, the voice changed but some think that it was still Michael...  that he just played a trick with his voice.

if the song involves some impersonator then michael himself is definitely in to it...i can't understand what does this whole story imply.. does it mean Michael had left this song incomplete and sung this song only in parts?

As I said in the other thread:

I believe, all is going nicely according to Mikes plan. He needs some specific persons mess up so tremendously in order to have something in his hands. It takes time, as each of that person (whoever it is) has a different way of f***ing up.

Maybe it's Mike singing, although when hearing BN I sometimes hear Mike and then again not. But it really could very well be, that he imitated himself and had his voice technically distorted a bit so we all should think that. Frank is in on the plan and I wouldn't be surprised if Mike and him agreed to create a mess at this very stage and kind of lure the bad ones into making an ass out of themselves.

But still, I take on a sit back and watch-position. It unfolds nicely.

I think it is him at the end, he used that similar voice in a family video. You can hear it at the beginning and around 1:28.
