Title: "Got To Be There"
Post by: truthprevails on November 08, 2010, 09:58:14 PM
Does anyone else think that the vocals in this song are AMAZING?  And Mike was 13 (1971)!
The voice gives me goosebumps.

If the dancing is distracting, you can listen here:

Yes, I love Michael's vocals from the time I first heard him as a little boy. His voice is so pure with emotion. As Smoky said "he speaks with 'know'". That is why impersonators can only imitate the looks - they can't imitate that unique voice and spirit. Blessings.

He performs with such maturity  and interpretation and only 13. I guess he was already a veteran at that age, seeing he didn't get to have his childhood.

voiceforthesilent and RK:

I agree with both of you.  Imagine being 20 and having 10+ (more like 15) years of experience in the music business...  :(  We should all be grateful that MJ kept going for as long as he did.  He could easily have stepped aside in his twenties and gone off to lead a normal existence.  He was endowed with incredible talent, but he also chose to cultivate it and work on his songwriting, dancing etc.  WHAT A KID and WHAT A MAN!

Many blessings to you!
